16th National Selection Conference of EYP the Netherlands Dear EYP Alumni, It is our greatest pleasure to announce the Call for Officials for the 16th National Selection Conference of EYP the Netherlands. The session will take place in Amsterdam from 5-8 February 2016 under the theme ‘Setting the European Agenda’. The theme of the conference revolves around the topics that will be prioritised under the Dutch Presidency of the Council in the first half of 2016. Amsterdam has been selected as the city where all the meetings will take place and we are honoured to see various elements of our programme hosted in the same venues. We are now looking for 3 Vice-Presidents, 1 - 2 Editors, 14 Chairpersons, 1 Video-Editor, 1 Editorial Assistant, 8 Journalists, 8 Organisers and 5 Jurors. Officials have a significant responsibility in the success of the session and we would be delighted if you were interested in playing a key role in making the 16th National Selection Conference an unforgettable and successful event for everyone involved. At least twelve delegations will take part in this year’s National Selection Conference. The delegations have been selected at the Preliminary Rounds held across the country during four weekends from November until January. Participants will be divided into eight committees consisting of approximately twelve delegates each. The session will include all traditional EYP elements, including Teambuilding, Committee Work and General Assembly. There is no participation fee for officials. However, travel costs from and to the session are at your own expense. Officials are expected to arrive before noon on Thursday the 4th of February. Departures may take place from Monday the 8th of February from 20:00 onwards. The Project Leaders of the session are Mighel Molenkamp and Mirjam Pieters and the session will be presided by Lucy Bradfield (IE). You can apply by filling the application form, downloadable through this link. Applications can be sent to applications@eyp. nl until the 15th of November 23:59 CET. All applications will be considered by the selection panel, consisting of representatives from the board of EYP the Netherlands, the Project Leaders and the President of the session. The Editors will join the selection panel for Journalists, the Video-Editor and Editorial Assistant. All applicants will be informed individually of the outcome of their application once the selection is completed. Late applications will not be considered. Note that for those applying as editors, the deadline is Wednesday the 8th of November 23:59 CET.
