The 15th National Selection Conference of the European Youth Parliament the Netherlands “Whenever one door closes, another one opens.” - Alexander Graham Bell Dear alumni of EYP the Netherlands, Now that the call for our Preliminary Rounds has passed, it is our greatest pleasure to announce our organisation’s next exciting event: the 15th National Selection Conference of EYP the Netherlands. This year’s National Selection Conference will take place from the 6th until 9th February 2015 in Rotterdam. The Project Leaders of the conference are Storm Gibbons and Eliane Zwart. At least 12 delegations, selected at the Preliminary Rounds, will discuss several topics corresponding with the session theme ‘Paving the Way for Sustainable Innovation’. The annual National Selection Conference of EYP the Netherlands has over the course of the last few years undergone significant improvement in both its scale and overall organisation. With this year’s 15th anniversary edition of the conference we hope to further improve its success and are therefore looking for 3 committed organisers to support us with regard to the following: Public Relations, Venues and Sponsorship in Kind. All alumni of EYP the Netherlands can apply for the above listed positions. To apply, please fill in the application form that you can find both in the Weekly Update and on Facebook. Applications can be sent to applications@eyp.nl until Saturday October 25th at 23:59 CET. All applications will be considered by the selection panel, consisting of representatives from the Board of EYP the Netherlands and both Project Leaders. All applicants will be informed individually of the outcome of their application once the selection is completed. Please note: the first organisers meeting will take place on the 9th of November from 12:00 h onwards, so do make sure to save this date. As for the conference itself, all officials are expected to arrive on Thursday the 5th of February before noon. Departures take place on Monday the 9th of February from 20:00 h onwards. As an organiser you will play an important role in ensuring the success of the conference and we promise you that it will be a great and challenging learning experience.
