CALL FOR APPLICATIONS European Youth Parliament (EYP) the Netherlands is looking for a Project Coordinator for the Understanding Europe project
Who are we looking for? We are looking for a young person between 18 and 25 years of age who lives in the Netherlands and wants to help us implement the Understanding Europe project in the Netherlands. The project imparts a basic understanding of European politics through an interactive EU Crash Course to young pupils. The four-hour course encourages pupils to become active citizens and provides a space to talk about their European questions. The EU Crash Course is meant for pupils from 4th year of high school and onwards for all levels of education. We are looking for a motivated young person who has a reliable and independent work ethic and who would coordinate the project on a regular basis together with the board of EYP Netherlands and the Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe in Berlin (the umbrella organisation of the EYP). The coordinator would manage a seminar trainer team, training events, and the contact with schools and partners in the Netherlands till the end of 2016, but possibly beyond that depending on availability and progress.
What do we offer?
Experience in non-formal political youth education Working with a young and motivated team Experience in project management including event management, external communication, accounting and reporting Practical experience in leading and moderating a team of seminar trainers Trainings in method- and content related issues A compensation of 450 Euros before taxes per month
What are we asking from you? Motivation and ability to work actively with pupils Basic knowledge about the European Union Reliable and independent work ethic Experience in leading youth groups and moderating seminars is an advantage Experience in communicating with external partners is an advantage The possibility to work on flexible hours (approximately 10 hours per week) How to apply You can find and complete the application form here.
