Selection Report Preliminary Rounds Rotterdam 2014 – 2015 Dear EYP alumni, It is with great pleasure that we hereby announce the selection for the upcoming Preliminary Rounds, taking place in Rotterdam. The selection panel was composed of the Board of EYP the Netherlands: Bernet, Dirk, Fahad, Jana, Khalid and Myrna. It is important to note that we got a lot of great applications and the Board considered each applicant carefully. The panel received a total of 58 applications for all Preliminary Rounds. Applicants were considered for the role of chairperson, editor, juror and organiser. We found it important to give as many people a chance to experience this years’ Preliminary Rounds; this explains that, even though we received many applications for multiple sessions, one applicant was only eligible to take up one spot on one of the teams for the Preliminary Rounds. We hope that those applicants who we were unable to find a place for on the team are not too disappointed and will try again in the future. Those who were not successful should not see this as in any way reflecting on their qualities as an EYPer. We try to support our alumni as best we can and we are determined to find a place for them within our organisation one way or another.
