ax - 26 years old , originally from Vladivostok.

Slightly more than a year ago, I became interested in retouching photographs. I just dabbled because had no special knowledge of it. Then I understood that do well on it. A month later I received orders for touchup of foreign photographers, and three months later I started to shoot by myself . Eproximately that time I started getting serious commercial orders from foreign firms. I will not deny that it was the most amazing breakthrough in my life. Just three months enthusiastic pampering gave a great result . Then I resolved that link my life with photo. I began develop my skills with an emphasis on the artistic process .

Next is history.

humor. Joking , laughing. This is the fastest and easiest way to relax and to model and photographer. As for the development of competencies. I always give advise everyone to get down on the ground and realize that you’re not Angelina Jolie, you’re not a star and a 99.9 percent chance that she never become. You have to be easier to be yourself and don’t show yourself like a top model since trim is easy to recognize in the photo.

And second - this view tons of photos and pictures on the Internet, namely those who like you. Do not try to repeat them, and just enjoy watching it. It develops a taste . If the right combination of these two points, the natural behavior and sense of taste , you get the ideal model.

Today I can say with confidence - it was the most amazing and useful year of my life. I hardly ever - or whether will regret, that gave ordinary life , banal job with an average salary and all the “gray mass” , in which I was being “cooked” , I gave it all instead the picture.

You are actively retouch photos, in consequence of which they achieve excellent results, but the process has taken some secrets, maybe additional way of lighting or .. ?

How would you describe an ideal model?

What qualities should the model have in addition to appearance? Can you give advice to the models for the development of their professional qualities?

It is difficult to say , each person has his oun fitures in appearance and character. It is only necessary to learn how to properly show them in front of camera.

Personally for me, I think for many photographers , the ideal model is the one which does not need to talk like her to lie down, stand up, where to put her hands . The one who understands what kind of theme is and knows what we want to see in a picture. One of the top rules for model and photographer is possess a sense of 10

I will never deny that the secret of my shots in processing. I’m a good retoucher , but I can not say that I am a good photographer. My only secret - it’s not trying to copy someone’s picture. You need to shoot as you like most. I never ‘’suck it from the finger’’ I always put myself to a high standard and culled almost all my photos right on shooting. But there is always one or two , in my opinion, a great shot that eventually , I bring to mind and publish .

You sell video tutorials for processing photos on your web site including a section on the training course , it’s great that fans can get a similar effect with your work. How important for you to develop the image in the style in which you work ?

To be honest, I don’t care , will a style develop in which I work or not :) I’m just glad that there are people who like my work. But these people are always asking me about the lessons and master classes . I basically don’t give a living master classes as my program is very extensive and I physically don’t have time to show everything , and besides , I’m sure that - or whether forget. The second reason - I unfortunately don’t have time for this . So I made the video lessons and they are in demand , because in them I don’t hide their secrets , unlike many photographers, I am always willing to share knowledge.

As far as your work is in demand abroad?

Are you shooting for projects that are outside of the CIS? Can you list several clients for whom you were working?

Initially , the first half year of my career , I have focused only on foreign users . I ignored Russia in terms of pictures, because I was and it is important to develop abroad. Foreign customers are more creditworthy and responsible . While the Russian customer is usually a fat moneybags , who comes from the 90’s in a bad mood ever , for which the photographer is the usual rabble , ready to work for a bowl of soup. I’m not saying that all Russian businessmen are, but let’s face it , most of them fit the image , if not outwardly , then mentally. I still refuse any orders from Russia . In this country, for me, only creativity , communication with fans and photographers willing to learn from me , the model, in general, everything that doesn’t fall under the word «work .» Abroad are all different. I will not tell the details because this is my professional secret :) Most of the customers come to me for treatment, rather than for shooting because for frequent long distance between us . Among my clients are Chevrolet, Land Rover, Pioneer, Dr. Pepper, Playboy, Ea games.

Perhaps at this point, this is the maximum I can boast about. I am in constant development, so further more .

The question about inspiration, we often ask the question, and the answer is usually very different.

What is your inspiration? Are you need to be inspired for creative job? What inspires you?

I would like to say that I am inspired by the clouds, the nature or the city at night, but in my case it is not so. I suffer from constant mood swings. Fun tonight, tomorrow depression, laziness, and the day after tomorrow, etc. At the same time, for me it’s the perfect environment because somewhere between these 11

differences and there is a wild desire to outdo in terms of creativity. Do something cool, I would appreciate that he and those who follow my work. But in most cases, after the photo was taken I was not satisfied with the result and it moves me to develop further. Such is the psychedelic :)

How you accumulating your professional skills? Was it a self- help or educational institution help you grow?

Only self-learning. Of course, the basics I dug up somewhere on the Internet that would understand how to start. But the best I have discovered just at random. I am constantly experimenting, and much of this results in interesting techniques that attract people’s views. Plus, I’m very picky about the details.

So often I get into the very bowels of photographs, completely rebuild the atmosphere of the frame, I try to make it so that the viewer could feel the air even in the picture. Photography, in my view, should look like the most impressive and at the same time so realistic that would create a complete feeling of being there that would seem that all this you can touch it. This is a very subtle approach such you simply will not find in the free lessons on YouTube and any books.

arta Varela was born in 1988 and made is first contact with photography in 2008, when she bought her first DSLR. After that, her passion for photography evolved and in 2011 she decided to ingress the professional course of photography in the Portuguese Institute of Photography, in Oporto.

Unlike the majority of photographers, she doesn’t limit her work to one or two photographic themes. Her portfolio show us her versatility, from photojournalism to macro-photography, through landscapes, portraits e fashion, between others.

Are you engaged for photo editing by yourself?

Can you give the lessons how work with photos?

As authoress, she’s always searching for new ways to enrich her work and to improve her visual education, especially by watching and analyzing pictures taken by well-known photographers. The constant need to evolving and the like for learning lead her to search new challenges, new techniques and new themes, as well as to establish new contacts with professionals of the photography industry, so that she could learn with the criticism and reviews to her work.

Despite working for a short time in this business, I realized working with some of the largest Portuguese brands, such as Eugénio Campos (jewelry), Prof Shoes, Aldo Shoes, Bluebird (jewelry and watches), Weblife (bikinis), among others.

In all my work I adopt a base that gives it a concept and at the same time that inserts them on a more artistic side, so yes, i think they could be called as Art-fashion.

I am a professional photographer for a little more than a year but photography was always something present in my life. I do not give lessons in photography or editing, but I edit my own photos, all the retouching work is made by myself.
