The spheres in each work create an ecosystem of their own, and this is shown through the abstraction of the dominant colours in the place of intervention. Thus genereting a planet that will be part of a complex system of those that are the experiences matured by an individual in space and time.

Each sphere somehow tells a part of me, and interpersonal growth through works that try to break the mould with simplicity and experimentation.

The project proposes the possibility of living on Mars, through the creation of an innovative and environmentally sustainable habitat.

The research began with a study of the red planet by analysing the surface, climate and atmosphere, which were essential for assessing where the rst human settlement could be located.

By 'human settlement', however, we do not mean colonisation, but rather the creation of a life in symbiosis with the environment, through a circular economy and attention to the ow of materials.

Questo tipo di superfice è privilegiata per quanto riguarda gli ammartaggi, ma lo è anche per la buona possibilià di trovare fossili che potrebbero darci la conferma di vita extraterrestre.

The purpose of the micronation is to give back to the Māori population the last lands left by their ancestors, by creating a oating settlement in the Fiordland region (South West of New Zealand). The Māori, by settling in the water, will become the guardians of a portion of their land that has still remained intact, and will be able to preserve their customs, language and beliefs, hoping above all for a socio-economic redemption. In order to do this, the Tau Moana micro-nation will strive to have as little impact as possible on the island's ecosystem, using materials that take into account the island's environmental conditions and compatibility in their use of resources and production techniques.

ABOUT THE FLAG

The Flag, incorporates the 3 colours of the current Maori ag and its meanings are as follows:

Black represents Te Korekore, (the realm of potential being), which symbolises the long darkness from which the earth emerged, as well as signifying Rangi, the sky: a formless, oating, passive male force.

Red represents Te Whei Ao, (the arrival), symbolising Papatuanuku: mother earth, the sustainer of all living things, and therefore both earth and active forces.

The white represents Te Ao Marama, (the realm of being and light), which symbolises the physical world, purity, harmony, enlightenment and balance.

HOUSE

TANIA MUREDDU

We can divide it into two parts: on the right we have reproposed the Southern Cross, wanting to emphasise the fact that the Maori are a people associated with the practice of sailing; furthermore, the Southern Cross is given by the graphic representation of the individual platforms: in this way we want to highlight the fact that Tau Moana is also and above all supported by the theme of community, which is very much felt by the Maori. On the left, on the other hand, one of the motifs (Taniko) of the Maori textile heritage is taken up, namely Aramoana: the proposed design represents the sea, speci cally Aramoana means "path of the sea".

The design idea was to have several individual units generating an articulated context. The routes follow a precise hierarchy, wide streets for the main route (3.00 m wide), secondary routes (2.40 m wide) and finally the tertiary routes where it is expected there will be a very small number of tourists (1.30 m wide), the generative structure brings to mind the street mo del of the medieval city.

First sketches of the different types of housing that will accom modate the Maori population. The idea is to deviate from the occidental way of lifestyle.

Sketches

There will be a single roof per platform, generating several covered walkways in which to relax or carry out any other type of activity one wishes. The placement of the individual housing units is not accidental as they will act as windbreaks, and even if the wind passes the intricate pathways will slow its force.

Tau Moana: Masterplan

The micronation is located on an island about twenty thousand metres off Resolution Island, the largest island in the Fjords region of south-west New Zealand. Resolution Island is characterised by a temperate-oceanic climate, with temperatures rarely below 0 °C and above 30 °C.

The climate is humid, with an annual average of 200 days of rain.

In Fiordland there are mostly beech and r trees but also podocarps. A wide variety of shrubs and ferns make up a rich undergrowth of plants, mosses and lichens. This enormous variety of vegetation allows us to start an FSC (on an area of 50 ha), with the Daisugi technique: this will allow a reduced consumption of soil and a higher yield of timber as Daisugi is a Japanese forestry technique, born 600 years ago, which consists in growing light, tall and straight trees on top of the mother tree.

Typologies: The houses have been designed in such a way as to facilitate the settlement of the Maori population by freeing any space from the constraints of the occidental style of housing.

The residents will be able to choose their own lifestyle.

The units will be free-standing, but residents can easily add walls to create rooms according to their needs.

Wood has always been a material that gives a feeling of warm welcome, which is why we decided to create these spaces as if we were in a forest, where at every step we take, we have new points of view of our surroun dings, more precisely the cones of vision.

The intention of the "Lumen" project was to propose a reading room for all age groups, delimited by the bookshelves hidden between the various pillars. The structure inside is designed by optical cones that frame speci c points, such as the sea, the city of Alghero, and delineate the passage to the internal patio and the café area; these spaces are illumi nated by natural light in the morning that is captured by the skylights like the light ltering through the tree tops.

Fòs Atelier is a three residential units complex located on the South Side opposite the village of Orani, in an area characterized by its Mediterrane an ora.

Since the beginning, the focus of the project has been that of creating tiny wooden housing units, speci cally designed to target the needs and lifestyle of artists, young couples and families, as well as respecting the surrounding intervention area: being built vertically, the units have a lower impact on the site, that will therefore, be able to keep most of its natural integrity.

Fòs Atelier bene ts of natural light to ful l the needs of heating and cooling of the living space, and creating the perfect atmosphere for the execution of different activities during the day; this thanks to the presence of a skylight window and large glass windows, allowing the guests visual continuity with both the urban and the natural landscape. Outside the units there are “functional sculptures”, used as vertical gardens on the East Side and solar panels on the West Side. There is also a rainwater collection tank, equipped with a ltering system, allowing the water to be used for the garden as well as for everyday tasks inside the house.

Each house is equipped with a kitchenette, a bathroom, a bedroom located on a mezzanine oor and a sitting room. This last room is a central e versatile living space, as it can be transformed according to the different needs and activities: a meditating area, an atelier, a living room.
