Botanical Garden 13-Block Sampler

by Alexandra Henry 81½” x 98½” The Botanical Garden quilt has (13) 12” blocks, set on point, with a horizontal zigzag setting. The blocks use many quick piecing methods and are easily stitched by beginning quilters yet are still fun for more accomplished quilters. The blocks are reminiscent of spring with its flowery presentation, and the zigzag set evokes visions of the flow of nature. This makes an excellent blockof-the-month project.

All Around the Neighborhood 12-Block Sampler

by Barbara Weiland 59½” x 59½” “Build” a few houses, add trees, a few picket fences, and some pretty flowers and you have a colorful and scrappy new neighborhood. House blocks are perennial favorites and the tree blocks in this fun sampler quilt are easy to paper-piece. The blocks range from 6” square to 12” square. The quilt finishes to approximately 59½” square.

13-Block Sampler

by Barbara Weiland 76” x 76” Stitch up a dozen beautiful blocks to make this colorful quilt full of fresh spring flowers. The 13th block is a pretty butterfly, since no garden is complete without at least one. Use fat quarters and/or scraps to make each block, and then set them on point with contrasting sashing and cornerstones to make them sparkle in the springtime sun. The quilt features 12” blocks set on point.

Nifty Nine Patch 14-Block Sampler

by Barbara Weiland 65” x 65” The Nifty Nine Patch Sampler features a set of 13 pieced blocks, set on point with sashing and cornerstones. Each block is designed on a 9-patch grid. Pieced borders are highlighted with a 14th block in the corners. The blocks finish to 9” square. The quilt finishes to approximately 65” square. Use your favorite color in different values to stitch up these blocks, and your quilt will be finished in no time.

Bright Hopes 17-Block Sampler

by Grace Marko 78” x 96” The Bright Hopes Sampler’s lighthearted positive message comes with the aspiration that with the construction of each unique block you’ll gain a sense of confidence and accomplishment. The (17) 12” blocks feature quilting techniques like Flying Geese and half-square triangles that can be made scrappy or in a colorway of your choice using five fabrics. One of the 17 blocks repeats four times throughout the quilt and a simple framing technique wraps each block and continues in the outer border.

Cottontail Crossing 13-Block Sampler

by Jennifer Bosworth 64½” x 64½” Cross Paths with this adorable bunny at Butterfly Meadow, Bunny Hill, Hollow Log and other blocks of the Cottontail Crossing Sampler, which is approximately 64½” square. The quilt features 13 scrappy blocks and captures the bunny in an applique’d center. The finished block size is 12” square with a 25” center block.

Star Search 12-Block Sampler

by Barbara Weiland 84½” x 84½” This unusual offset arrangement features 12 star blocks, some more obvious than others. Each of the blocks can be colored in many ways. Changing the value positioning in each of the blocks makes a lot of difference in the final appearance of each one. This quilt is easy to kit with three different fabrics (one each of light, medium, and dark) for a block-of-the-month, year-long class, or club. You can also use the blocks for your Saturday Sampler program. All 12 blocks finish to 12” square in this 84½” square quilt. 24
