For most oF the world, 2016 has been a surprise-filled, somewhat unpleasant year – but, for the world of luxury yachts and marine lovers, it’s been a pretty great ride. We started the year off with a number of amazing regional events like the Kuwait Yacht Show, the Dubai International Yacht Show and a various sailing series and regattas that saw the best in the boating industry visit the Gulf shores. We also witnessed incredible design, workmanship and delivery of the most innovative and stunning vessels in 2016 including the sleek and stylish Riva 88, the lavish and unique Desert Rose, the gorgeous Royal Huisman Sea Eagle, the powerful Galactica Super Nova from Heesen, and the enthralling Elixir from Amels – and that’s just a small fraction of the beautiful boats, mega yachts and on-water playgrounds that entered the market last year. It’s safe to say that many builders made huge movements in the marine market – with everything from classic lines to modern fittings – there was something for every ocean enthusiast to admire.

Custom lIne marked a successful 2016 and its 20th anniversary with just one more project; the Custom Line 120’, the new jewel of the series and the first Custom Line planing yacht designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design.

The maxi yacht is the extraordinary result of a creative process that transfers the language of the sea and styles of other universal designs, in which Italy has always been a unique landmark. The Custom Line 120’ reimagines and combines many stylistic elements, even from automotive design and residential architecture, adding thorough research to bring out shapes and volumes, through layout choices in line with the most recent trends in contemporary living.

As is tradition, everything is personalized to the owner’s wishes, because a Custom Line yacht represents those who live onboard. Totally new is the design of the hull shapes and lines, which will be realized by infusing and assembling the built structures together, to ensure maximum strength and lightness, thanks to the use of carbon.

A collaboration between the Milanese architect’s studio, the Ferretti Group Strategic Product Committee and Engineering Department, was presented at the 2016 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
