Breitling Super ocean
There are water-resistant watches, there are waterproof watches, and then there is Breitling’s Superocean series, which represents the absolute pinnacle of diving watch technology.
BrEITlIng is one of the world’s most renowned Swiss watchmakers, and one of the last remaining independent Swiss watch brands. It has been privately owned since it was founded in 1884, and to this day still designs and builds all its movements in-house.

Since its founding, many famous sailors, explorers, divers and even astronauts have made Breitling their timepiece of choice. Astronaut Scott Carpenter was famously pictured wearing a Breitling Cosmonaute inside the Aurora 7 spacecraft in 1962.
Celebrities that have been known to sport Breitling watches include Harrison Ford, Tom Cruise and John Travolta (all known aviators), as well as Brad Pitt, David Beckham and Leonardo DiCaprio.
As watch technology has developed into electronic devices that are generally more accurate than mechanical ones, Breitling’s quality has ensured that it remains one of the world’s leading watch brands. All of Breitling’s watches are fitted with certified chronometers, making them as accurate as a mechanical watch can possibly be. The certification comes from the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, or the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute, in English (or COSC), which is considered the world’s benchmark in incredibly accurate mechanical movements. This accuracy, when combined with the prestige of the Breitling brand, is the reason why they’re still the choice of many celebrated aviators and divers despite more accurate electronic devices being available.

The Superocean M2000 is the world’s only chronograph to be fully functional at a depth of 2000M.

Although originally becoming famous for making aviators’ watches, Breitling decided to apply their unique expertise to creating high precision instruments for ocean explorers too, with the Transocean series for sailors, and the Superocean series for divers.
Since launching the Superocean in 1957, Breitling has consistently optimized it on both technical and functional levels – the goal being to accompany professional and military divers, as well as recreational diving enthusiasts, on their underwater adventures around the world.
One of their latest creations, the Superocean M2000 Blacksteel represents some of the most sophisticated technology the brand has ever included in a timepiece.
Superocean m2000 Chronograph Blacksteel
The world’s only chronograph to be water-resistant and fully functional at a depth of 2,000 meters (6,600ft), the Superocean Chronograph M2000 plunges into the abyss in an entirely black-clad limited series sporting a powerful technical look entirely on a par with its performance.
The Superocean Chronograph M2000 is equipped with an exclusive magnetic pushpiece system. This patented device enables the chronograph controls to be handled via the metal of the case, making this model the world’s only chronograph to be water-resistant and entirely functional to a depth of 2,000 meters (6,600ft), without any risk of water seeping in.
Already available in a polished steel version, the Superocean Chronograph M2000 now appears in a 250-piece limited series featuring a satin-brushed steel case with a black colour achieved by a high-resistance carbon-based treatment. The matching dial ensures optimal readability with oversized hands and hour-markers accentuated by a luminescent coating. The black rubber-moulded unidirectional ratcheted rotating bezel guarantees an excellent grip. The sturdy case, equipped with a built-in decompression valve to vent helium, is fitted with a 4mm-thick glare-proofed sapphire crystal. The SuperQuartz movement, chronometer, certified by the COSC, ensures a degree of precision ten times higher than that of ordinary quartz. The Superocean Chronograph M2000 Blacksteel is equipped with an exclusive whiteedged black leather strap, and is a true champion shining in the utter darkness of the ocean depths.
