Rolex, which Fifty One East has represented since 1951, astonished visitors with many anticipated designs from BASELWORLD 2017. The highlights of this year were the Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller that celebrated its 50th anniversary and added for the first time the cyclops lens over the date along with the Rolex Cellini Moonphase featuring an exclusive display of the lunar cycle with a blue enameled disc at 6 o’clock, with the full moon depicted by a meteorite applique and the new moon by a silver ring.

Boucheron is celebrating its 160th anniversary with a series of events throughout the year, beginning with the launch of Vendôrama in January that pays tribute to Boucheron’s history and the name is a homage to the maison’s address of Place Vendôme. Within the jewellery exhibition, they presented dazzling additions to their iconic collections of Quatre, Serpent Bohème and Nature Triomphante along with exceptional pieces from their high jewellery collection, Hiver Impérial. This year, Boucheron is also presenting an exceptional set of coloured stones on Boucheron’s signature mountings. CHANEL Fine Jewellery presents the Flying Cloud Fine Jewellery collection, a collection inspired by and named after the yacht which belonged to the second Duke of Westminster. The collection reinvents and showcases the most simple and necessary elements to life at sea: buoys, ropes crafted from gold and diamonds, White gold anchors, sails and compasses. The collection also presents variations of the summer wardrobe, exploring freedom of movement and clothing that seems to float around the body. Braid depicts as seen on marine uniforms and buttons like those on sailor’s jackets. CHANEL also presented the “CODE COCO” watch inspired by the clasp of the quilted 2.55 bag, created by Mademoiselle Chanel in February 1955, whose clasp adorns the heart of the watch’s dial. A tribute to a story, style and look, the CODE COCO watch carries the ever-renewing codes of CHANEL. CHANEL also presented the Camélia watch from Les Éternelles de CHANEL collection, the Premiére Boy Arty Diamonds watch and the Brins de Printemps chapter from Les Blés de CHANEL collection. www.51east.com/qa @51_east
