The project about creating an architectural identity in an area that is a leisure hub by creating Kelantan Cultural Centre. The scheme develops the project brief methodically and takes a comprehensive approach to understand the site in the context of the city by studying the identity, characteristics and morphology of the surrounding buildings. The scheme provides a good account of salient features of surrounding buildings and appropriately derives its concept from the detailed study.
Design proposals is centred around the theme of public space and opportunity to promote leisure/tourism/economy and environment.Whilst, the design shows an excellent response to the site context, as it complements the physical and historical landscape of the place, the vision falls short of wider cultural perspective. The architectural design is replete with innovation, facilitation of community, environmental consciousness, and connection to the natural and cultural landscape of the place.
