FIRE STATION
FIRE STATION AT LOMBARD AND FILLMORE Studio 653, Spring 2011 The design responds to the midcentury modern buildings which surround the site. This influence is articulated in the “butterfly roof.” The facade of the building is indicative of the program behind it. This adds the element of transparency to the fire station.

WALL OF EQUILIBRIUM
THE WALL NORTH OF GOLDEN GATE PARK S t u d i o 6 0 8 , Fa l l 2 0 1 2 In San Francisco there are two extremes; the park is the natural world, the city a man-made metropolis. The wall is designed to achieve an environmental equilibrium while addressing the need of an individual to reconnect with nature while maintaining his or her connection to society. The design of the wall also strives to solve problems of waste, homelessness, and hunger in the city.

TV STUDIO
TV STUDIO FOR EXTREME PLASTIC SURGERY SHOW S t u d i o 6 0 9 , Fa l l 2 0 1 2 This project is a television studio for a show that sheds light on extreme facial plastic surgery. The form of this building is the result of associating “modifiers” such as the rate of plastic surgeries performed in the city of San Francisco and a spatial component. The spatial components were developed originally for a wearable prosthesis which correspond to the conditions of a shoulder and a wing. With the process of association and elimination the components started to evolve with the force of “modifiers” and “anchors” in a chosen site in the city of San Francisco.
