ALL ABOUT Our life-long dream has been to create the highest quality clothing for life's great moments, the ones spent by the water, watching sunrises or sitting around a campfire with friends. We're proud to design men's and women's clothing that blends our love of timeless outdoor moments with our passion for designing and crafting products meant to last a lifetime. Growing up surfing in a beach town, we couldn't find quality clothing that reflected our casual lifestyle. We paid our dues, Mike in design and Alex in finance, to create the company we always wanted. We launched in 2013 with men's and women's clothing collections, sustainable swimwear, and accessories. That first year you could find us roaming the country in our mobile store, parking it everywhere from a resort in Palm Springs to a backyard in Montauk. We opened our first store in SoHo, NYC in April 2014 in the same space as our offices and design space. Two years later, we've now opened up three more stores in some of our favorite coastal towns. Earlier this year in May we took the ferry over to Nantucket to open up our shop there, then went bicoastal with the opening of our first west coast store at the Malibu Country Mart that same month. Later in the summer we opened our second California store in Newport Beach in August. If you find yourself in one of those cities be sure to stop by and say hi. You'll often find us hanging out in one of our stores, and if so don't hesistate to introduce yourself, we love to tell people about our story and hear how they stumbled across our journey. We work tirelessly to design and manufacture the finest clothing, and guarantee our product for life. ALEX
MIKE
After graduating from Yale, Alex (above left) pursued a career in private equity for eight years before quitting his job to join Mike in launching their namesake brand. The "numbers" twin, Alex's goal is to make sure there is a stable foundation so Mike can express his creative vision, but his favorite days are spent on the sales floor talking to customers. His wife Kerry joined the brand shortly after launch and in April 2016 they became the proud parents of team Faherty's youngest member, Ava.
From a young age Mike (above right) was interested in clothing, often telling his brother what to wear, but struggled to find high quality clothing that reflected his lifestyle growing up surfing in a beach town. He eventually decided to create his own and even wrote his college essay on the brand. After design school he began a career working at Ralph Lauren to gain the skills and experience necessary to launch Faherty. When not desiging, you can find him scavenging flea markets around the world for vintage finds and inspiration.
