The newest game in the Floodgate lineup, Vivid Memories will be hitting retail in the United States in December of 2021. With the worldwide distribution issues causing delays in so many new titles, we’re thrilled that retailers will have a chance to show off this new title for lastminute holiday shoppers. Vivid Memories combines a clever design with delightfully whimsical artwork and high-quality component production that Floodgate Games is known for. Like Sagrada, Vivid presents players with a drafting and placement puzzle that plays in under an hour.

Vivid grants players more initial control over how they approach each turn as limitations on drafting and placement are minimal as the game begins. The puzzle emerges as players weave a tapestry of threads in their player boards, representing the player’s brain. Players will balance creating big, combos and connections against carefully combining fragment tokens in hexes to match scoring opportunities. With many ways to score, a shared drafting pool, and secret end of game objectives, Vivid is thinky from the first turn. We’re happy to say that it’s also already receiving high praise from critics like Richard Hamm of Rahdo Runs Through who said that Vivid Memories “Blows Azul out of the water!”.
