Who is BCP?

Best Coast Pairings began in 2015 when co-founder and CEO Paul McKelvey was asked by a local convention to run a Warhammer 40k tournament. Having been to countless events run on pen and paper but never having been part of the process, Paul was at a loss as to how to run an event. While discussing this with fellow co-founder Garrett Mulroney, Garrett had a simple answer, “I can build an app for that.” Just over a month later the first version of BCP Tournament Organizer was built and the first few tournaments were run on the system. Seven years, 64 game systems, and thousands of events later BCP has become much more than just event management software. However, the goal of making it easy for anyone to put on a table top event is still the core of BCP.

What Do We Do?

Best Coast Pairings’ core product consists of the BCP Tournament Organizer and Player Apps for iOS and Android as well as the new Best Coast Pairings website. Across the applications and the web Event Organizers have access to easy best in class ticketing for online registration to their events, unique and embeddable landing pages for each event. Scoring, swaps, drops, adds and more are accessible to organizers to manage their events like never before.

Players can find events, register, check in and find pairings remotely getting events started faster and more efficiently than any other system. Once the event organizer starts the event, pairings are posted on the web and in the apps and players are playing before printed sheets can be stuck on a wall. When a match is finished, players record their results at the table with their opponents eliminating the need for dedicated score keepers and score sheets. Saving time, money, paper and creating an excellent player experience.

So Much More Than Pairings Software

Beginning with event management software, BCP has grown to cover many other needs in tabletop, becoming a full fledged software development team. Event Organizers can easily collect and view and validate deck and army lists. Retailers can assign Event Organizers to their locations to create events for them with a centralized payment account. Global circuits and leagues can be easily run and managed from the BCP event suite. Most recently BCP has built out their platforms for publishers. Partnering with Jasco Games for the Universus Game Network, MetaZoo for the MetaZoo Play Network and Stoneblade Entertainment for the SolForge Fusion Event Manager. BCP is consistently growing in publisher support with world class analytics, data capture, and new features.
