Our Community Impact

2017 Report

We are committed to the hope that life can be different and the future can be better.

In the recovery community, certain sayings have great power. They seem so simple, yet have saved so many. They resonate with us at OAR as well, not only because of what we do, but because they represent the courageous people we serve. Perhaps they’re familiar to you, too. One Day at a Time. Day after day, we work tirelessly to move our clients further on their healing journey with compassionate, professional care. We’ve been doing it for 47 years, and have no plans to stop. Just for Today. Every day, people in this community take the bravest step of their lives. They walk through our doors and into the potential of a new today. It’s frightening. It’s intimidating. But they do it anyway. Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes. Here at OAR, we are continually changing—integrating new best practices and services to better help our clients make positive change. First Things First. Our mission is to provide effective, compassionate, livesaving addiction treatment. It’s at the heart of everything we do. Progress Not Perfection. Life is a process. So is recovery. We celebrate every step forward, knowing that grace for our clients is a key element of healing. You No Longer Have a Secret, You Have a Story. Addiction festers in the darkness. Recovery happens in the light. Day after day, we share in the joyous liberation of turning a deep secret into a story of hope and recovery.

There is great power in the simple things—like a saying or a step forward. We invite you to be a part of these powerful healing journeys happening in our community. It’s as simple as making a gift today.
