The Crystal Maze

A Crystal Maze themed event where teams compete in a range of team building games in order to win the most crystals.

Hosted by our wacky presenter ‘Richard O’Blimey’, teams take part in various challenges in our activity zones: Physical, Mental, Mystery and Skill. For each challenge teams are awarded crystals depending on their performance. More crystals means more time in the Crystal Dome finale. Challenges can include:

Team Tower

Teams rebuild the tower on an opposite space without placing a larger block on top of a smaller block.

Well Balanced

Team members must pass differently weighted objects to each other without tipping the see-saw.

Barbecue Brainteaser

Teams solve the puzzle and then use tongs to put the items in the correct place on the barbecue.

Toxic Waste

Teams work out the maths formula to divide the toxic waste so that it’s safe for disposal!

Stocks & Share

Teams complete the jigsaw with their hands in the ‘stocks’.

Teams solve our music challenge in order to build the puzzle correctly and then play a tune!

Your team will be put to the test by real-life adventurers –former Commandos and SAS expedition leaders – and only by working together can they truly survive.

They’ll find themselves marooned on a ‘desert island’ with limited resource, sunset encroaching and only a basic kit list. To survive they must prioritise and pull together in order to:

Agent Training Camp

Immersed in the intriguing world of spies and double agents, participants will need to earn ‘00’ status to become agents of ‘Her Majesty’s Secret Service’.

After a secret mission briefing, the ‘trainee agents’ make their way to the field to rotate around a course of specialised disciplines. With limited time and a raft of new skills to master the pace is fast and furious as teams are put through their paces to gain their 00 status within the specific time.

The Summit

In 1953 Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay became the first people to summit Mount Everest and return safely. They did this through extensive training which prepared them for what lay ahead on the world’s highest mountain. Led by experienced survival experts, mountaineers and Everest explorers your team will work together to learn and understand the necessary skills and attributes required to climb their own Mount Everest ... The Summit.

Your group will split into small teams working around a number of zones from preparing for base camp to emergency planning ahead of the ultimate climb. They’ll need to work together to complete all the zones to ensure their place at The Summit.

We needed a team building challenge that would raise the game on any previous experiences. Conquer the Summit was a great and varied event which worked for everyone and Fruitful delivered beyond all expectation – our people are still talking about it.

This event will give your team a taste of what is needed to prepare for a Mount Everest expedition.

Formula Fruitful

Design, build and race your very own go-kart.

Teams pit themselves against each other to create the most competitive vehicle both on the parade ring (it is all about the theme) and on the race track. Skill, speed and fast thinking will all be required to get to the podium at the finale.

Guests will:

• Pull together a race strategy

• Learn the basics of kart engineering

• Make critical decisions about the design of their kart to influence speed

• Develop a design that’s reflected in their finished vehicle

• Have a chance to stand on the podium with a medal hanging from their necks in glorious victory!

Masterpiece

Whether you are an enthusiastic hobby artist or have not picked up a paintbrush since school, our art challenges offer a level playing field for all team members and result in a memorable item to remind everyone of the day they have had. The group is divided into teams and each is given a table of resources including a canvas and a picture from a section of a famous painting that they have to recreate. To earn the necessary paint supplies they must answer a series of art-based questions and solve picture clues. Points are then traded at the Fruitful Craft Shop.

Once complete, the individual canvases are joined together to make a giant replica of the well-known masterpiece.

Whether as director, location scout or leading actor, everyone plays their part in creating a team movie.

Get creative with planning your shots on a scene storyboard. Feel the energy rise as you get out and about shooting your footage. Then back to the editing suite to add special effects and a stirring soundtrack. Using iPad filming technology, teams are tasked with scripting, shooting and editing their own movie, advert or news story. Teams can watch this back after the event or alternatively in the evening over dinner with your very own ‘Oscars’ award ceremony.

All props, costumes and technical support will be provided by our experienced Fruitful production assistants.

We Forest

Together with our sustainability partner We Forest, we have pledged to donate 5,000 trees in 2022. This is achieved by planting a tree for every delegate and guest who attends a Crescendo or Fruitful event or online experience. Having already invested in the We Forest Wildlife Corridors Project in Brazil, we are now also supporting their adjacent Tiete River Project where they are pioneering a safer herbicide-free approach.
