In the morning enjoy a private sightseeing tour of the city. Split is the biggest city in Dalmatia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The rich cultural and monumental heritage of this 1,700-year old city is seen on a walking tour. View remnants of the city's Roman heritage, its Renaissance and

Gothic structures, and its contemporary attractions. The tour will mainly focus on the 3rd century Diocletian's Palace, which represents the heart of the inner city, and where all the most important historical buildings can be found. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 14: Split - Zagreb

This morning, transfer to the Split train station to go with train to Zagreb. Upon arrival, transfer to your Zagreb hotel. Meet your local host at the hotel lobby upon arrival. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 15: Zagreb

View the highlights of the Croatian capital on a private city sightseeing tour this morning. With a history dating back to 1094, there is much to see here. In the "Upper Town," snap photos of the Cathedral of Mary's Assumption and Gothic Church of St. Mark. Next, visit the "Lower Town," featuring the main square of Jelacic. The balance of the day is at leisure to continue exploring on your own, shop, or relax in a café.

Its Mediterranean climate makes Turkey an ideal year round destination. Most people choose to visit during Spring or Autumn, but the country enjoys sunny days right through the year. Along the coast, long hot summer days are tempered by refreshing sea breezes. Further inland, low humidity makes travel both relaxing and comfortable. Average temperatures for Istanbul and Kusadasi are:

Turkish lira is the local currency and can be readily obtained from banks, ATMs or money exchanges. While it is possible to tour using only ATMs, we recommend taking some cash and a credit card too.

Australians travelling to Turkey as a tourist or for business should apply for an e-visa online at www.evisa.gov.tr prior to travel. The current cost is 60USD (subject to change). Australians will have a maximum stay of 90 days within a 180 day period for tourists. New Zealand citizens who intend to travel to Turkey for tourism-related purposes for up to 90days do not require a visa in advance of travel to Turkey. Provided they can show sufficient funds to support themselves and evidence of onward travel bookings, they are usually granted entry to Turkey for a period of 90 days. All other visa types should be requested through your nearest Turkish Embassy or Consulate.
