PROJECT STATEMENT TARGET AUDIENCE

- Tech-savvy - Travellers - 19-45 years old - Cheap

OBJECTIVE

The mastermind behind this project is to create an awesome portable tour guide app that will help traveler navigate around Hawaii easier. It also provides travelers the interesting history/information of landmarks so that travelers can experience a deeper understanding rather than just enjoy the awesome. The app also has the map built in with step-by-step navigation so that traveler can get from point to point easier. Other than those awesome features, the apps also provide an audio record about the landmark information that travelers can play if they donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t prefer reading on the tiny screen.

It provides maps and directions and also links to airlines, hotels, restaurants, and more, directly from your itinerary. TripIt helps you efficiently take care of the nitty-gritty details of your travel so you have more time to just enjoy your vacation.

Our take from this - Avoid creating too default UI app even though it has great features. - Started out default, simple and bring it to a level that the users will enjoy the interface and the feature.

The Aloha Tower is a lighthouse that is considered to be one of the historical landmarks of the state of Hawaii in the United States. Opened on September 11, 1926 at a then astronomical cost of $160,000, the Aloha Tower is located at Pier 9 of Honolulu Harbor. It has and continues to be a guiding beacon welcoming vessels to the City and County of Honolulu. Just as the Statue of Liberty greeted hundreds of thousands of immigrants each year to New York City, the Aloha Tower greeted hundreds of thousands of immigrants to Honolulu. OTHER INTERESTING FACTS When the attack on Pearl Harbor came on December 7, 1941, Coast Guardsmen from the USCGC Taney (WHEC37) were ordered to take up defensive positions around Aloha Tower and protect it from being occupied. The Aloha Tower was painted in camouflage so as to disappear at night. You can go up to the Observation Deck, located on the 10th floor of Aloha Tower to find the perfect spot for beautiful views of the harbor on one side and the cityscape of Honolulu on the other.
