Project Statement Background
Sprinkle cupcakes has always been known for their cute, yet simple and satisfying desserts. They have also been known to be the first cupcake bakery. Sprinkles cupcakes has been able to build up such an amazing reputation for their company, but their website fails to reflect their character and overall identity. With that said, since this website is in need of a redesign, the purpose of this project will be to create a mockup of the act of browsing on their site (from homepage to purchase of a particular product), and create a new checkout process that is secure, thorough and clear.
Target Audience - Cupcake lovers - Families
Objectives
Target audience should be able to locate their way through the redesigned website with ease. Target audience should also be able to purchase a product with ease and go through the checkout process with no difficulties.
Obstacles
An obstacle that might stand between the target audience and the desired objectives would be gaining the clarity we need in order to successfully redesign the website.
Key Benefit
With the chance to locate their way through the site effectively, the target audience will be able to fulfill their purposes of visiting the site, and hopefully find the confidence to maneuver their way through the website and subsequently return to the website for future needs.
Tone
Since Sprinkles Cupcakes is a very fun, light, bright, and overall fun type of cupcake bakery, we thought it would be reasonable to set the tone of this redesign in the same way.
