FAKOM AD – Skopje took part in a renewal of the boiler plant in thermal power plant -REK Bitola. Successive in 2012 and 2013 the renewal of two out of three blocks was carried out. Within a short period of time, successfully and punctually was demounted first the old equipment and after that the new equipment was erected. 800 tons equipment end steel structure was erected. Among them 640 tons mechanical equipment and 160 tons bearing steel structure. By use of innovative technology and special designed system of electrical spools and jacks for vertical and horizontal transport, inside of the facility took part the lifting, importing and erecting of the largesize parts. The maximal sizes of the parts are 6 meters and weight of the erected assemblies of 8 tons. The erection went under difficulties, in the facility with permanently installed structure.

The famous amusement rides in the world In 1959 Disneyland introduce the new design breakthrough of the roller coasters. This was the first roller coaster to use a tubular steel truck instead of wooden which was used before. “Vekoma” is a world leader in production and erection of equipment and structure for many amusement rides in the world. In the period of 2012 -2013 FAKOM continually was producing steel parts – column sets for roller coasters, indoor paths, platforms and other type of steel structure assembling in the complicated structures of the amusement rides all over the world, particularly in Iraq, Japan, Korea and Ukraine. With nearly two years cooperation, FAKOM become loyal partner to “Vekoma” and this partnership, based on a confidence and quality is firm base for new future projects.

Modular steel bridges In order to find a permanent solution for the demographic disadvantages affecting the rural and mountain regions in Macedonia, FAKOM developed a project for design, production and erection of steel bridges, projected for rural

and mountain regions in the country but also for all other places in the country and abroad where these types of bridges could be adapted and useful. Erecting these modular bridges in suitable locations will contribute to improving the people’s connection to the public utilities, educational and health centers nearby. These bridges could be used for passing over the smaller flows in the cities too and everywhere where pedestrian and light motor traffic is required. The bridges span from 10 to 25 meters, they are easy and simply erectable within 15 to 28 days.

Billboards Starting from May 2013 FAKOM realized the project contracted with “Kalaplakat” for manufacture and erection of billboards with total weight of 770 kg steel structure. 150 large billboards were manufactured and erected until the end of 2013 with total weight of 650 kg and 30 small billboards – City light in total weight of 120 kg.
