D E A R FA N S, Welcome to the 43rd edition of the Family Circle Cup! This tournament marks our 15th year on Daniel Island in beautiful Charleston, SC. We are excited that you plan to join us for, what we consider, the best experience in women’s professional tennis. The Family Circle Cup team, along with more than 500 volunteers, work extremely hard to make sure your time with us is fun, exciting and memorable. For the out of town fans visiting with us in April, our city has a lot to offer, as the Lowcountry is truly the gem of the South. When you’re not watching tennis, we invite you to take advantage of Daniel Island and Charleston, the Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Award for “Top U.S. City." World-class restaurants, accommodations, beaches, shopping and attractions are in store, as you plan your time with us. As I look back on our 15 years in Charleston, I recall so many special moments, including our final in 2001, when Jennifer Capriati became our first Champion, and lifted the trophy for the first time on Daniel Island. Little did we know, the young, 7-year-old ball girl named Shelby Rogers, who handed Capriati flowers, would be playing here this year as a 22-year-old, top 100 player. Then in 2013, when both Williams sisters, for the first time in history, played two matches on the same day and helped us set a single day attendance record. What will 2015 bring? We’re glad you’ll be here with us to find out! On behalf of the Family Circle Cup team, thank you for your support. Enjoy your playcation during the Family Circle Cup!
