THE LOCATION ACCOMMODATION Cairns Central YHA has 59 rooms including family rooms which are air-conditioned with private bathrooms.
Cairns YHA is located opposite Cairns Central Shopping Centre and is a short walk from the Cairns Esplanade where you will find the familyfriendly Cairns Lagoon, night market, cafes and restaurants. Trinity Wharf, the departure point for all the Great Barrier Roof tours is also nearby.
The family rooms are surprisingly roomy and can sleep up to six with a double bed and two sets of bunks. For our family of four, we had two spare beds in the bunks that were quickly converted to blanket cubbies. The WiFi is free and fast. Fast enough to stream movies on a laptop or tablet in a blanket cubby house! Our family room had a small fridge, allowing us to self-cater easily and better control our spending.
