STEPHANIE’S STUDIO@FIT24

Beauty therapist Stephanie de Winnaar owned a studio in Kloof before moving to Durban North with her family. “I continued to commute to Kloof but then I had my second baby which made things more than a bit chaotic so I decided to set up my salon from home,” recalls Stephanie.

Two years later Stephanie “got the itch” to go a little bigger and found premises at Fit24 gym in Durban North spending time designing the rooms herself. The results were stunning – bold, bright colours, quirky furniture, and sunny touches of yellow.

“I wanted to create a sense of space and tranquillity with a unisex appeal. It’s also great for clients who like an ‘all-inone’ venue – gym, salon and even coffee!” The studio offers basic beauty and more advanced treatments where clients can improve skin problems and conditions – carbon laser treatment, tattoo removal, microblading and lots more, using top-of-the-range equipment. Hotly popular at the moment is a session in the Stand Up Tan Can – a quicker alternative to roasting under KZN’s harsh summer sun.

“We therapists often acknowledge the fact that there are many salons around but most of us specialise in specific treatments. I completed a somatology course many years ago and am still learning. I would like to learn enough to be able to teach therapists how to become professionals in their field. I have the space now!”

CONNECT SPACE

How can Connect Space help your business succeed? Here are five facts you need to know going into 2023.

PRODUCTIVITY: One factor that saps productivity is monotony. Monotony isn’t just the work we do, where we work can also be monotonous. Sitting at the same desk with the same view will eventually become boring and affect how engaged we are with our work. In a coworking environment, things are rarely static. Every time you arrive at one of our locations, the sights, sounds, and faces will all be new. We aim to create environments for people to thrive in – a place to arrive and get down to business.

FLEXIBILITY: Wanting to work a bit later to wrap up something while you’re in the zone? Absolutely. Want to pick the brains of likeminded business people in the common area? Go right ahead. We provide a blank slate for you to paint your masterpiece of a productive day. Our flexible rental options enable you to book a desk for a few hours or a dedicated space for as long as you need it.

COMMUNITY: Co-working spaces are inherently collaborative, and our goal is to build these collaborative moments and celebrate these connections. So, come prepared to be a part of something bigger than just your to-do list for the day!

TECHNOLOGY: We offer state-of-the-art technology, with high-speed internet and failovers for an uninterrupted work experience, even during load shedding.

COFFEE: This one is important. We offer premium coffee served by skilled baristas all day long.

Don’t just take our word for it, come visit us and see what our spaces are really like. Find us in Mount Edgecombe, Musgrave and uMhlanga – three vibrant and conveniently placed business centres ready and waiting for you.
