This year’s E3 was an interesting one. With some big publishers going about things their own way and murmurs of E3’s relevance popping up, there was concern the event wouldn’t deliver. From our viewpoint however this doesn’t seem to be the case at all. New hardware announcements and games aplenty kept not only journalists talking but more importantly the gamers too. Its clear E3 is just as important now as it’s ever been. What you’re looking at is the biggest overall report Fancensus has ever done for an E3 yet. A detailed insight into everything from online PR to YouTube, Twitter and Facebook; all broken down by territory, placement, popularity, source and so much more. With so much going on over the course of the week it can prove tough keeping up to date. By combining our daily reports, this overall summary really can provide the complete picture of E3. For over 10 years we have been monitoring the interactive industry and we’ve seen major changes in the media landscape and the way games are released. We continuously scrutinize every full game release, DLC title, mobile release and download only games via YouTube, online, blogs, print, key influencers and social media globally. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year Fancensus has been watching. We pride ourselves on our constantly evolving tech, a method that is far superior than mere keyword searching. With E3 now over it won’t be long before attention soon turns to Gamescom. However before we all do it’s worth acknowledging what took place in Los Angeles last week. The way I see it, this year was a strange but important event full of surprise and spectacle and I for one can’t wait to see what awaits at E3 next year.
