With the countdown to E3 in full swing we’ve seen lots of announcements, rumours and asset drops this past month with plenty of PR and social activity to back it all up. It’s an interesting and exciting time of the year for all game lovers itching to see something new from their favourite franchises. Fortnite continues to dominate, with more than double the PR presence last month compared to its closest rival Battlefield V, which had announcements hitting at the back end of the month. So much coverage for Battlefield V in a very short space of time was largely due to discussion around the historical accuracy, or rather inaccuracy, of female soldiers, more than features or gameplay! Interestingly Detroit: Become Human made it to number 7 on the list of strongest PR presence, but was way down the list for Retweets & Shares, not even making the top ten for either. Look out for our special E3 edition of Tactics in a couple of weeks’ time. Along with our usual PR, Social and YouTube breakdowns, it will also contain a few extras, including a look at the performance of the press conferences by analysing Twitch data for each stream.
