In a year that has seen a shakeup across the YouTube platform, Key Influencers have proven themselves to be more important than ever… 2018 has been another great year for Influencers on YouTube. Compared to 2017 there have been some interesting shifts in numbers; the total views have seen a drop, but the number of popular videos (with over 100k views) has seen an increase. This leads us to assume we are seeing more consistent videos from the core gamers and fewer viral videos that skew the averages. We now believe that since Key Influencers are leading such an important role in the industry, the top 10 Influencers that we published last year is no longer insightful enough. That is why this year we have gone a step further and published the top 50 Influencers of the year. Here lights

• The top 50 includes Influencers from 19 different countries, with USA accounting for 22 of the 50 channels. • Only 19 of this top 50 were in last top 50 performers
year’s year’s list.
• This year saw June as the most successful month for views, as opposed to October last year. This was partly thanks to the half million views from the most viewed game of the year, Baldi’s Basics. We hope that the information found in this report can help shed light on some key points that would have otherwise remained unnoticed. The experience and expertise we have at Fancensus, combined with the high volume of accurate date we pull in, makes us the only company able to provide such important insights across the platform. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN? The Fancensus High Score Lineup Key Influencer Edition features a selection of the 50 best performing key influencers of 2018. To equally analyse each K.I. we consider its complete YouTube performance during the calendar year of 2018. All stats referring to video count only include videos with at least 100K views. Represents the change in position between the key influencer’s 3 performance during 2017 and 2018. All analysis is based on our database of around eight thousand key influencer YouTube channels. All figures are rounded for clarity. List includes games that saw a full release in 2018 or is set to be released in the future. It also includes remasters. It excludes mobile apps (unless stated) and ports of games previously released on other platforms.
