IT’ S A B O U T MOR E T H A N J U ST LO O K IN G AT W HAT’S O N TH E S U R FA C E . . . June would normally be a time for excitement as a gamer but 2020 feels a little different. With E3 absent for the year, it’s been left to the likes of Geoff Keighley, publishers and media outlets to deliver the announcements, of which there have been a healthy amount - from the PS5 reveal to a brand-new Crash Bandicoot to a wealth of indie and VR game announcements. Sure, this year hasn’t had its traditional weeklong smorgasbord but we are still seeing exciting reveals and information, perhaps just a little more spread out than we’re used to. From future releases to present ones, June has seen a wide range. In this month’s issue we take a look at arguably one of the biggest releases of the year, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II. It’s a game that has caused quite the discussion amongst players but what exactly do the critics think? Find out along with three other releases on page 5. As always keep safe and keep gaming.
