HOWARTHS MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA

On Thursday 22nd October the Stadium played host to the first annual Howarths Music Extravaganza. The evening kicked off with the amazing Tony Benedict who crooned whilst his audience swooned with classics from the sound of swing, followed by Paul Dobie leading the most versatile and talented pop/rock band I have seen in years. Peter Howarth, lead singer of The Hollies, took to the stage with some acoustic classics following which he fronted the band that rocked the room all night long. The event was in aid of local charity, The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, who care for children across West Yorkshire who have serious and terminal health conditions. With the help of private donations from guests and sales of 150 seats on the night the dinner raised an amazing £5,450 for the Hospice. Andy Howarth, Director of Howarths People and Safety Management commented, “I was so delighted (and relieved) to see so many people, of all ages, thoroughly enjoying themselves on the dance floor strutting their stuff in the name of an amazing cause, The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

“On behalf of Helen, Gavin, Chris and myself (The Howarths) and all of our lovely team at Howarths People and Safety Management, particularly our amazing marketing team led by Tracey Hopkins, I would like to sincerely thank everyone for supporting this event and for making it such a success.” Book now for the next Music Extravaganza, being held at the Stadium on Friday 1st July 2016.
