A unique collection of mosaic artworks
Swiss artist Anne-Marie Fischer’s debut collaboration ‘Desert Visions’with Fantini Mosaici – an exclusive collection of unique handmade artistic mosaics was launched in 2023 at Dubai Design Week.
The unique artistic mosaic collection includes a series of 12 abstract panels featuring deep blue enamel figures on a light background of white marble, with minimal accents of precious 24K gold mosaic, a red enamel and white marble mosaic coffee table and a large wall panel in shades of black and white marble , and red and green ceramic mosaic.
The ‘Desert Visions’ collection represents the artist’s passion for harmoniously combining colour, shapes and dimensions to create equilibrium through a calculated balance of movement, proportion, and rhythm along with Fantini Mosaici’s artisanal craftsmanship.
The collection is the first time Fischer’s artwork has been interpreted by the master mosaicists of
Fantini Mosaici.
“Desert Visions” demonstrates the versatility of mosaics. This first pioneering collaboration with Anne-Marie Fischer shows that mosaics in different dimensions can keep the technique relevant and in line with modern trends. ‘The name of the collection ‘Desert Visions’ came to my mind because I was mentally in the desert’.
Handcrafted by Fantini Mosaici, “Desert Visions” inspires art collectors, artists, architects and designers to rethink how to incorporate handcrafted and sustainable mosaics in their interiors.
All items in the collection are discreetly framed in brass-coated stainless steel and a certificate of authenticity. Price list available upon request.
About the artist
Anne Marie Fischer is a Swiss artist. She lives and works in Zurich. Born in Paris, she studied architecture at the ETH Zurich and art history at the University of Zurich. She spent over 20 years as an architect before pursuing visual art full time. Fischer explores different media, such as painting, print making, collage, sculpture, and reliefs. She works on projects in the field of space related wall paintings and site specific installations for interior and exterior spaces.
