Well, what does the idea of disruption man to you? And how does it take place? Which section of the society and market caters to the idea of creating disruption in market? It’s none other than an Entrepreneur! And if you see, disruption as a category isn’t inclined towards a particular section of the society, it’s mostly embedded in blood and if you see disruption is everywhere—seeping into all corners of business. Disruption is working its way through popular culture too, whether it’s Keventers spreading its wings through the franchise way or fertility clinics like International Fertility centre filling happiness in lives of many childless couples. Their sheer dedication in doing something disruptive to ease the lives of many and bridge gap of voids in market is in itself a perfect mar of an entrepreneur. Almost anyone can become a businessman but it takes sheer courage to be an Entrepreneur as you have to create a category for the sect which hasn’t been served till date. Disruptions can also be seen in kid’s classrooms, with Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff’s Kalorex! “It’s the age to disrupt the classrooms; handhold, co-create and reach out to students. The 21st century learning is all about engaging students continually towards gaining and applying knowledge through technology and innovation,” said Dr. Shroff. They are these set of millennial who have toiled hard towards etching their names in truly golden words. Business Connect Magazine is glad to present the game changers of 2019 as they represent the very idea of leadership not just in the workplace but across society in general. For us, they have all the power to take charge. Our fiery set of 40 under 40 will soon be becoming an achievement for many in years to come. Commencing the first ever issue of projecting the class of 40 under 40. Interestingly, our cover is being graced by with Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff’s Kalorex for becoming a known name in field of pre-school education. Our job as the editorial desk is not complete only with your admiration of this list alone but it would be a mission accomplished only if it gives you the kick to chase that dream, take that risk and give yourself that opportunity to see what’s on the other side. The glimpse of our first year’s list is; Keventers, Tudip technologies, GuruQ, KreatKonnect, Maintenance house & HFM, Mirrah Belle naturals, Reginesys Softech, International Fertility center, etc. Business Connect India’s 40 under 40 list looks at unique business ideas and the people powering them. This issue celebrates young people and their success -- and the opportunities they create. It is about their math, thought and passion -- and the fire in the belly that lights the two. The list is extremely unique and incorporates individuals from a scope of ventures, while everyone might not have constructed a billion-dollar business but rather they have all manufactured something new and extraordinary, or basically changed the manner in which things were done generally.

Cover Story
KALOREX, FOR EQUALITY IN EDUCATION ABOVE ALL!
Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff MD & CEO, Kalorex Group
Yashasvi Khushu | Business Connect
While growing up in pitiable conditions in a family of farmers, who would have thought that a boy from the farmlands of Surendranagar, Gujrat, would grow up to be a successfully employed civil engineer. But to your surprise, this is the story of Ashish Bhadania, a farmer’s son who spent his early years of education in a small Shala (School), now well settled in Bangalore with a promising future. Let’s take a tour of his overwhelming journey where you will meet the person who reformed his destiny with her vision and guidance, Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff.
[ 11 ]
HOW DID IT ALL START? Since he had been a bright student all through his academic career, scoring excellent grades each time, the suggestion of pushing his education further came from a very dear friend and mentor of his father. He told Ashish’s father about Visamo Kids Foundation (VKF), Kalorex, based in Ahmedabad, which caters to underprivileged kids’ educational needs and also provides a foster home to them. The founder Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff had been involved in improving the lives of countless kids from needy families by offering them quality education for their entire school life in the best English medium schools and equipping them with skills to aim for better professional careers ahead. In a country where the cumulative literacy rate is around 74%, the priority stands to incline the chief concern of the entire society to introduce any visible improvement in a short span of time. And for any changes to be made they have to be started at ground levels i.e. schools. Dr. Shroff has fairly understood that schools play the most vital role in reshaping a person personally and professionally for better growth. She personally focuses on nurturing the children to face the competitive world outside. If we start to dig deeper into the roots we’ll realize how the situation isn’t very impressive taking into consideration the state literacy figures. Most of us have always been aware of this dismal state but when it comes to bringing some positive change, only a handful of people like Dr. Shroff have comprehended the urgent need to recuperate this worsening condition by bringing changes in the system with schools like Visamo Kids Foundation, Kalorex, who try to polish the future of the coming generation unbiased. Presently in a scenario so politically charged and authoritative, educational reforms are moving very sluggishly which consecutively gives rise to a negative attitude among the people. Hence, even a pinch of positivity coming through the right source is enough to work wonders. And one such source he strongly believe is the organization Kalorex, making a mark and bringing positive changes in the educational scenario. The inspirational leadership of the Chairperson, Dr. Shroff, has been contributory for many a success stories of VKF and Prerna, a similar venture, as well.
STRAIGHT FROM THE HORSE’S MOUTH In the likes of Ashish Bhadania, there are a number of underprivileged students who have gone on to bring glories to the organization making their families proud at the same time. “Like an Oscar-winning movie in my head, I clearly remember the twinkle of joy and pride that I saw in my parents’ eyes when they were invited as guests for VKF Scholarships and Award distributions. There is no gratitude enough to show how privileged I feel for the opportunity provided to me by Dr. Shroff and almighty’s grace” said Ashish. A plethora of VKF alumni are working in esteemed corporations and making a mark through their hard work and determination. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 7 February 2019 INDIA
[ 12 ]
The alumni from the other similar venture Prerna, are making the best of their abilities as well, through the able guidance and support of their teachers and are chasing their dreams in their best potential. He believes, as a successful alumnus today, if ever in future he gets the opportunity to revert his humble services to VKF, it’ll be an honor for him to volunteer.
ABOUT THE VISIONARY These values have been induced in him through his guiding light, Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff who steered him right through the journey of his education. She is a living

International awards conferred in the career spanning over two decades including the ‘Secular India Harmony Award’ by the President of India. This humble lady has managed to shape a number of futures with her bright vision and personal indulgence to each. Ashish educates us about his journey and how fortunate he feels to be a part of this overwhelming passage of a decade. If not for VFK’s education
and Dr. Shroff’s enlightenment, a boy from a tiny farmland would never have been polished so well. Even today, when he travels back to his homeland and sees the others still struggling for a better future or basic facilities, he realizes how lucky he has been. While they are still looking to lay foundations of their life, he is envisioning a successful professional career. There is no end to the gratitude he holds for VFK and Dr. Shroff for giving wings to his dreams.
METHODS AND STRATEGIES IMPLEMENTED In the 10 fruitful years he spent in VFK he gained generous knowledge about the Kalorex Group and how it has been promoting progressive education in a number of other cities in India magnificently since two decades now. Within the conversation, Ashish educated us about The Kalorex Group and how faithfully it has dedicated itself in creating educational programs for an entire spectrum of learners from a variety of educational grounds like IB World School, the 2 Delhi Public Schools and 5 Calorx Public Schools following the CBSE curriculum and the Kalorex Pre- School chain of schools.
The special initiatives of Kalorex are Prerna – offering interventions for students with special needs, Visamo Kids Foundation – catering to the educational needs of the underprivileged students and VEDIC institute of Kalorex - offering skill development courses for girls. Here the teachers implement curriculum methods and strategies that use technology to maximize student knowledge by means of Blended and Flipped class strategies. These are the new age global classroom methods which are being implemented in the schools keeping in mind the huge variety of online resources that are accessible. A more skillful future awaits the kids at Kalorex, with the newly proposed www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 7 February 2019 INDIA
Budget of 2018 -19, the focus majorly is bestowed on technology-enabled classrooms with smart boards replacing blackboards. The students of Kalorex will have the luxury to be exposed to the progressive methods of teaching and learning since the very beginning. Whatever time Ashish had spent in the classes, student engagement and classroom management was promoted the most in the teacher training activities. Feedback was scientifically captured through the school portals and appropriate action was taken. Teachers and students were exposed to world-class training and practices and an effort was made to provide technical and physical resources for an effective teaching and learning process. The best part about this process is that it continues to be positively followed till date.
THE TECHNOLOGICAL INTERVENTION The bright alumni talks about the involvement of technology as well. He adds how we all come from families believing smartphones, laptops, internet etc. is only a medium of social connection. It’s a task to convince parents that it could be otherwise. “Dr. Shroff at Kalorex ensures that this task is commanded well and parents are induced with positive confidence about the same. A number of workshops are held continuously to orient them towards the new trends in technology to ensure understanding of the changing times and their cooperation. Technological innovations are influencing the way students learn and the experts here are doing their bit to keep abreast with the fast-moving technological advancements” said Ashish. They also apply technology to facilitate a variety of assessment and evaluation strategies using the ERPs even to communicate with students and parents. There are mobile apps accessible by the parents to know the learning outcomes whenever they require.

QUALITY AND INNOVATION Over the span of 6 years, the Group has expanded from 12 institutes to more than 40 institutes. With a focus on quality teaching and bringing in the latest training inside the classrooms, Kalorex teachers are known for their innovative teaching styles. The group is strong on systems and processes and promotes a collaborative culture. Talent is recognized through rewards and recognition and teachers and staff are encouraged to take on professional development programs to upgrade their skills and knowledge through in-house or external training and workshops. The indigenously designed Kalorex Taxonomy aims at developing skills like goal setting and communication in the students and all teaching plans are designed keeping that in mind. The teaching quality is kept in check with regular academic and quality audits conducted by the Learning Development and Quality Department.
INGESTING CORE VALUES Regardless of who you are, a student or a member of the staff, if you are a part of this esteemed organization you will be ingested with the strong core values followed by the company at large. All Kalorexians are full of dynamism, humanistic approach, ownership, and speed with accuracy. These values are percolated to the whole team through planned orientations and training. EXPANSION PLANS
Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff MD & CEO, Kalorex Group
PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT Ashish is not the only one who boasts of a bright future, thanks to Dr. Shroff, there are innumerable success stories of its alumni spread across the globe. They stay connected to their roots and continue giving their valuable inputs and professional guidance to the rest if and when needed.
“Today, when I have completed more than two years as a Civil Engineer in JMC, Bangalore, I am proud of my own achievements. At the same time, I am also consumed with a feeling of immense gratefulness towards Dr. Shroff and VKF. Dr. Shroff’s personal involvement in my wellbeing gave me a sense of security. She was always there to hold my hand and guide me for my personal and professional decisions and constantly
offered paramount advice. She always made sure she had the necessary time for guiding me, in spite of the demanding schedules she had, there was not one time when I felt neglected or unsupervised” further added Ashish. Ashish or all the other kids studying with him were presented with the right support at all times. And this was only possible because Dr. Shroff has tremendous zeal and enthusiasm for life and this rubs on to everyone who she connects with. With her progressive vision, she could see what the city of Ahmedabad needed as far as educational initiatives were concerned. She ensured that her institutes catered to a cosmopolitan population. With the advent of Kalorex, the landscape of the city changed with yellow school buses carrying students to and fro. This was a new concept for Ahmedabad and several institutes followed the path carved by Dr. Shroff. Apart from her hands-on involvement in all her institutes, she also advocates a healthy lifestyle for all. An avid practitioner of Aerial Yoga herself, her Forever Young YouTube videos (shroffim.com) have touched people from all walks of life and are highly popular. Her love for the outdoors has made her to try her hand in adventure sports like skydiving, parasailing, snorkeling, skiing, trekking, and white water rafting. She has participated in a few running marathons, is an enthusiastic cyclist and has attempted cross-country rides. Besides her participating in cylothons, she also has
[ 15 ]
Today Kalorex has plans to expand further as well, towards the western part of the country in Rajasthan and Maharashtra. It is also looking to explore southern states in order to reach Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. As well as central India in the next two years. Once it starts operating in these states, it plans to expand to North India. In short term, it is Rajasthan and Maharashtra where the focus is concentrated. Ashish stated “Kalorex has more than 40 + institutes running under its banner, but VKF has always held a special place in Dr. Shroff’s heart. She made sure that it became a home away from home for us. The love and care we received and the fun times that we had with movies, parties, picnics, and tours have left me with such fond and bright memories that may not have been possible otherwise. I can confidently assure any student of VKF that their life and career will definitely see success after my personal experience there. I feel privileged that I came in such close contact with Dr. Shroff and was personally mentored by her and the VKF volunteers”. The alum also conveyed that she has always lived by Gandhi’s philosophy of “be the change you want to see’. Praying for her welfare, he wishes that in the long run, other institutions also join her in this moral cause.
We surely do need a lot more people like Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff, who are keen on working towards the betterment of education in the society and are eager to handhold the unbiased idea of spreading knowledge to each sector and the needy.

Hair loss Problem Is it due to stress
Business Connect Team
Hair loss or Alopecia is very common in business fraternity nowadays and in particular among CEOs who are the leading sufferers. There are a lot of myths in society related to baldness that make it hard for people to know what’s true about this problem. The common myths relate dandruff, shampoo, use of cold water, wearing hat, exposure to sunlight etc. as the major cause of hair loss. The most common type of Alopecia found in men and women across the world is Male pattern baldness or Female pattern baldness or Androgenetic Alopecia. Although baldness problem is more common in male, a significant number of the female also suffer from the problem at the later stage of their life due to the hormonal changes in their body (menopause or childbirth). According to an estimation Androgenetic Alopecia affects about 50 million men and 30 million women in the United States Usually there are 1,00,000 hair follicles present in the human scalp. Shedding of 50-100 hairs is considered normal, but when the number of shedding hairs exceeds the value it is considered excessive hair loss. Proper consultation by a Dermatologist or Cosmetic Surgeon is essential to deal with such situation who after keen observation suggests suitable remedy.
There are various reasons for Hair loss: • • • • • • •
Genetics Hormonal imbalance Auto-immunity disorder Stress Nutritional deficiency Illness like diabetes Iron deficiency (most common cause in women) • Medication (chemotherapy, thyroid disorder).
In more than 80% of cases, Hair loss is due to the genetic reasons where the genes responsible for baldness are transferred from either mother (60% possibilities) or father (40%possibilities). This type of alopecia affects upto 50% of males between the ages of 30 and 50 years and a significant number of females by the age of 50 and above.

The Mechanism of Pattern Hair Loss in Men and Women: DHT Hair loss is progressive in nature. The mechanism of Pattern hair loss in men or women (Androgenetic Alopecia) is because of the action of the male hormone (Androgen) or dihydrotestosterone (DHT) on genetically sensitive scalp hair follicles. There are a large number of receptors present in the roots which get sensitized on increase in the concentration of the male hormone in the blood.
A Remedy for Telogen Effluvium
Usually, there are three stages in hair follicles cycle. First stage is the growth stage (anagen), which lasts for 2-6 years, followed by a regression stage termed (catagen) stage, which lasts for 7-21 days, in which the hair follicles detaches from nourishing blood supply, and a resting stage (telogen), which lasts for approxiately 1–4 months. As a negative effect to the prolonged exposure to DHT, genetically susceptible follicles gradually remain for less time in the growth phase and more time in the resting stage. The hair follicles progressively reduce in size, termed “miniaturization,” this finally causes loss of hair roots from the region eventually leaving a bald region. The DHT-sensitive hair follicles are normally present in the frontal, mid-frontal and vertex region of the scalp. The progression of Hair loss in men shows a typical pattern scaled on the Norwood scale (I-VII), while in the female the pattern is different initiating from the centre scaled on Ludwig scale (I-III). There is a region in human head from where there is no shedding of hairs even at the age of 90, this region is unique as it consists of large numbers of DHT-resistant follicles or hair follicles in which there are no receptors of Androgen (male hormone) and so they are not sensitized by the male hormone and is often referred to as the “safe zone”.
Telogen effluvium resolves on its own once the stress or trauma is over and the body begins to get back to normal. Eating a healthy diet rich in green leafy vegetables, fruits, and proteins to get plenty of nutrients, exercising regularly, relaxation techniques like meditation, deep breathing, performing recreation activities or listening music, getting involved socially and treating hair gently, especially when styling and using heating gadgets helps in getting rid of this kind of hair loss problem. A vitamin and mineral supplement at the physician advice helps in recovering any deficiencies, like B12, iron, or folic acid.
Conclusion
Stress and Hair loss
Telogen effluvium is the most common type of hair loss caused due to stress. Telogen hairs are a special type of hair, distinguished by the end of the hair being shaped like a bulb, and effluvium means to flow out. Excessive physical or mental stress may cause anxiety or fatigue or early exhaustion of the body. This type of hair loss occurs temporarily because of some trauma, stress, or shock to the body. Stress is known to be an important triggering factor for hair loss. Any factor that disrupts hormone levels in the body can trigger telogen effluvium hair loss. Chronic stress at a job or in a relationship, financial trouble, parenting problems, and any other type of physical or emotional stress can have a significant impact on the entire body, including the hair follicles.
Hair loss caused due to chronic stress is not permanent. Effectively managing stress and trying different stress management techniques can help you get back your healthy hair.

How The MLM Companies Can Help You In Making More Money
BCM Review Business Connect Team
There are a number of ways to make money among which a few are the best ones. There are a whole lot of ways by which one can make easy money sitting on a couch.Network marketing or Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) is one such concept that has been ruling the industry for last couple of decades. There are a multitude of companies that have cemented their position in the market as the top source to make money from home. There are several notable names in the domain that include Amway, Vestige, Forever and Oriflame etc. With the revolution in Technology, MLM has become a lot better than earlier times. The easy availability of online platforms has simply transformed the way Networking Marketing is done. One can easily learn the intricacies of this industry and have a clear picture about the opportunities. Nowadays, people are looking for ways to make money from various sources. Gone are the days when one used to get satiated by working from a single place. They keep looking for ways and means to generate earnings through different mediums. As our aspirations and desires keep growing, our craving for earning more and more mounts higher and higher. In such circumstances, it becomes utmost necessary to keep a sharp eye on the innovative and trending ways of making money. We are flooded with a range of ideas that can easily open new gates of opportunities in order to make money. In recent times, earning online as well as offline is not a big deal today. One can make easy bucks sitting on a couch. There are multiple options available for someone looking to make easy money without getting involved in much hassles. But the industry is struggling with many negative impacts that it has been getting for last many years. There are numerous reasons that have negatively affected the MLM domain. Some companies started forgery in the name of MLM by using Pyramid schemes. They began fooling people by luring them to buy worthless products so that they could become a member of the company. One would get compelled to take membership as that happens to be the only way one could be eligible for profits on sponsorship. The more one adds members the more one earns. The basic purpose of the system faded and camouflaged into a “member making scheme, the term widely used by the victim of Pyramid schemes. When the trend continued in other companies of the domain, people developed notion that member making scheme is equivalent to MLM. But the truth is that there is a thin line between Multi-Level Marketing and so-called member making scheme. Multi-Level Marketing is the best methodology to increase your sales in the least amount possible as it cuts down the need of middlemen. One can easily sell ones product directly to customers that makes window for the sharing of profit. This makes it one of the most efficient source of income. It is useful for students, part-time workers, people looking for extra income and even old people. One can easily make use of the leisure time and attend seminars and conferences where the basic idea of such company is shared with the people. One needs to cross check the facts shared by such companies and then decide accordingly. It should be noted that many companies often display inappropriate figures pertaining to their revenues. It should be taken into consideration that most of them are not government registered. So, choose only authenticated MLM companies. If there is not a pinch of doubt, you can go ahead. Always check the background of the founder of the company before taking a final call. There should be proper analysis of the functioning of the company. When one gets completely satiated on all the criteria then only should one go with the company.

THE KEVENTERS GROWTH STORY!
Aman Arora
Agastya Dalmia
Co-Founder & Director of Keventers
www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 7 February 2019 INDIA
Co-Founder & Director of Keventers
[ 20 ]
Vikas Jha | Business Connect had to focus on the Gen Y as their target audience who look for freshness, taste and texture, variety and convenient packing and make the Keventers milkshake a preferred beverage option which was a challenge since as they were not aware too aware of the brand. Unearthing age-old traditional recipes for their milkshakes was a difficult task since most of the people associated with were long gone. Finding great quality milk was one of the biggest issues of the companyfor which they looked in every nook and corner of India as well as abroad and understood the current fat content of the milk and the ice-creams before finally choosing the kind they would use for our milkshakes. Finding the right joint venture partners with similar business spirit was something that was probably the most difficult for them.
With global populations set to rise to 8 billion by 2030, there are considerable opportunities for Indian food producers and in particular for online food industriesto respond to this fast-growing marketplace. Keventers, a 92-year-old iconic brand in the Indian dairy sector, once metonym with ice cream carts in Lutyens’ Delhi, has started to make its headway towards a thumping comebackto become one of the fastest growing and most recognized quick service restaurants. Founded by a Swedish National, Edward Keventer in the early half of the 20th century, and later taken over by Indian industrialist, Ram Krishna Dalmia, Keventers is now being promoted again with well thought and implemented ideas by the latter’s descendant, his grandson, Agastya Dalmia, and hispartners Aman Arora and Sohrab Sitaram.
THE MARKET ADAPTATION OF KEVENTERS Nowadays, the fast food industries are prioritizing ease of access and convenience. Changing the course of the delivery medium is essential for the fast food industry, which in turn has given a rise to the micro delivery and hyper convenience system.
Today, within a span of just 3 years, Keventers has grown from one outlet at Select Citywalk in 2015 to over 270+ outlets across India in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mysore, Indore, Goa, Dehradun, Ludhiana, Jalandhar to name a few, and across the world in countries like Nepal, UAE and now even Africa. The company has reached an extraordinary milestone bycreating a distinct identity globally for their milkshakes as a viable beverage for today’s customer especially the generation Y/millennials by giving it a modern, cool and aspirational avatar.
Accessibility and convenience have become a necessity in daily life. In today’s time, consumers’ habit of stocking up groceries has shifted to more frequent needs-based trips. Thus, this change has probed for more micro-delivery and hyper convenience channels to adapt to the consumers’ desire for immediate, need-based replenishment options. This has created a huge opportunity in the market that brands have now started to tap. By combining innovation and technology, together they are changing the way Indians eat.
“When we thought of reviving Keventers in 2015 we wanted to create a business which had the inherent ability to be scaled on a global level. Furthermore, since our specialization and historical business was in the same sphere we were very familiar with the space and sector. In addition, customers have always associated us as a dairy brand so we did not want to get into something which would take us away from the connect we already had.” promulgates Mr.Dalmia.
The company has also diversified their business in the dairy and allied segments. To cater to this needof the ever-evolving consumer, they recently introduced The Milk Co., a mobile application based premium milk delivery service across Delhi – NCR, via which the company aims to produce and deliver up to 20,000 liters of milk per day by the end of this year. With the milk vertical, the group is keen to capture 20% of the premium milk market in Delhi/NCR and to become one of the leading players in the segment by end of this financial year. Currently, the premium segment of the milk market is growing at a rate of 30% which is the reason for many new players entering this area and Keventers is looking at 20k liters per day by 2020.
ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY At the outset, Keventers had to struggle because of the strong pre-defined belief from every player in the business that a QSR specializing only in milkshakes cannot be profitable by itself. But this belief was soon nullified by Keventers profitable business performance. The company’s major hurdle was that it was popular with Gen X but not the Gen Y. In order to succeed, the company

Further, the company has expanded their product portfolio with the introduction of Ice Creamery, ice cream parlors that serve a wide range of premium and delicious flavors. This latest venture by the house of Keventers will serve a delectable range of desserts to connoisseurs of this cold treat and celebrate true love for ice cream with an array of unique flavors and diversified product offerings.

The young generation identifies with the brand because of its retro-chic packaging (Bottles) and with the older generation, it is about connecting with a brand with a legacy which still sells original recipes. The idea behind the glass bottle was indeed to get it into every household which the company have managed to do–with people re-using their bottles for anything and everything under the sun–for decor, as a storage unit for water, to pot a plant or get the kids to drink some milk, the company takes great pride in the brand and the legacy it has been able to create amongst the public.
Aman Arora, a graduate in Economics from Delhi University, is the Co-Founder & Director of Keventers. He has a natural entrepreneurial flair with a creative eye. He draws his inspiration from Gary Vaynerchuk, one of the most popular speakers in the world. “Being the successful entrepreneur, an internet sensation and a passionate speaker, Gary has continued to inspire people across all age groups. His zeal to motivate people and instill confidence definitely correlates with what I preach in my life,” says Mr. Arora.
TRANSFORMATION IN THE ENTREPRENEURIAL WORLD The company advocates the ideology of steadily moving fast but and setting up for a win when it comes to entrepreneurship. Successful entrepreneurs are only the ones who win in the long game. That said, modern Indian companies are now weaving a commitment to grow into their corporate DNA by fostering companywide awareness of consumers’ needs, investing enough in R&D, and unlocking entrenched organizational structures. As information grows (in both access and volume) and Indian consumers and businesses are more able to apply this information in their decision-making, they are becoming increasingly empowered. Consequently, companies are coming to rethink their business models and competitive strategies to serve these customers and turn profits.
ROADMAP The companyrefrains from setting long-term goals for the brand and instead setsachievable short-term goals to accelerate their growth. Over time, the end goal is simple, to create a distinct presence for Keventers across the world by expanding and entering key markets. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 7 February 2019 INDIA

India’s Best and The Most Unique Digital Solution for Education Sungandh Bahl | Business Connect
T
he India education system has taken a leap with a digital turn due to globalization and steady economic growth. The e-learning market today stands at a worth of over billions and the potential seems only brighter. The online education market in India is the third largest in the world and this enables people to take better advantage of the resources available online. And with an invasion of brands like GuruQ the market for meticulously designed content is getting better. Minal Anand, in conversation with Business Connect Magazine. Business Connect: You claim to be “India’s best and the most unique digital platform”, how do you maintain the standard? Minal: Our claim is substantiated by the quality standards that we implement. We have formulated some of the industry’s most rigorous quality mechanisms to ensure that we maintain global standards across our operational areas. Quality has always been paramount for us, each tutor on our platform undergoes 5-level background verification along with proficiency tests to gauge the tutor’s competency, attitude, and aptitude. Business Connect: What drew your attention to the field of education? Minal: When I taught underprivileged children here in India, I could recognize their brilliance and

capability. However, they needed a helping hand in the form of quality education. Additionally, Indian students abroad continued to excel at academics, consistently outperforming their peers. The effect of quality education viz. schooling and extra-schooling were discernible from the performance of pupils there. Quality education is the only factor that determined positive learning outcomes for students who studied abroad. Having said that, my inclination to transform Indian education is the result of a cumulative effect of my varied experiences mentioned above. I believe the right guidance and the educational atmosphere can propel Indian students to the next level. This is why I have started GuruQ – to help students get the right guidance from quality teachers. Business Connect: You have experienced the education system of both our country and USA, did you feel there is some level of discrepancy in the nature of techniques? Minal: The extensive use of practical learning, realworld applicability of learning techniques and globally acclaimed teaching methodologies mark the education system in the United States. But in India, we still seem to be stuck in a system when memorization, theory-based learning, and grades are given utmost importance rather than the implementation and practical use of knowledge. To sum it up, there is a huge scope for improvement in the Indian education system. I’m certain that adopting global education models into our education can have a far-reaching positive impact on student learning outcomes. Business Connect: The market is changing and so are the trends, how do you keep up? Minal: My technology team and I are constantly on the lookout for improving our digital infrastructure. We are consistently making enhancement to our existing features while introducing new ones simultaneously. Business Connect: Being the founder and CEO of the company, how do you ensure its smooth functioning? Minal: Being the Founder & CEO is a tedious task as is expected of the role, but it is my passion nonetheless. Firstly, I have ensured that GuruQ has a participative and democratic style of leadership, which creates a free

learn and unlearn consistently. And finally, we entrepreneurs must have a tenacious focus on maximizing the value for our customers and stakeholders. Business Connect: How do you ensure the unbreakable faith of clients in your company? Minal: Quality is the foundation upon which our relationship with our customers is built. Our promise to provide a quality learning and teaching platform to our customers has been instrumental in our growth.

Founder & CEO, GuruQ exchange of ideas. I have nurtured a culture of interdepartmental collaboration and teamwork, using an open-floor seating plan to catalyze the same. Also, anyone in the organization is more than welcome to call upon me and discuss their ideas for the organization or the challenges that they are facing. Business Connect: Initial days aren’t always sunshine and rainbows, how did you sail through your struggles? Minal: As the popular adage goes, ‘Persistence is the key to success’. Initially, like any start-up, we were faced with numerous challenges that stemmed out of the digital infrastructure upon which GuruQ is built. However, thanks to the proactive attitude that we possess, we could take effective measures to minimize the effect of those challenges through sustained, preemptive action plans that we prepared. Business Connect: What has been your learning during all these years so that our readers could prepare themselves for upcoming challenges? Minal: Firstly, entrepreneurship has taught me that people are at the heart of successful organizations. Finding the right people for the right job roles can make or break businesses. Secondly, entrepreneurship is a learning experience – where one is required to
Business Connect: Do you believe in positive competition, what gives you an edge over your competitors? Minal: Yes. Positive competition is quintessential to personal as well as business growth. It plays a crucial role in determining customer experience and the value that customers get from a business’ offering. It is a driver of innovation and better practices in any industry. Speaking of our competitive edge, it is manifold. Business Connect: What are your short term-long term plans? Minal: Currently, our shortterm goals include phase-wise expansion into other markets viz. states such as Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. We have a strong foothold in Delhi & NCR and are in the process of acquiring and verifying tutors in the above-mentioned states. As for our long-term objectives, we intend to become the leading aggregator of tutors in India, covering major cities and towns. Thus, transforming the way Indian students learn. Furthermore, we are planning to add various new and innovative functionalities into the platform and that addition is going to change the landscape of the ed-tech sector completely. Business Connect: How are you giving back to society? Minal: At GuruQ, socially impactful initiatives are paramount. Since the very
[ 27 ]
beginning, we have devoted resources to initiate varied CSR programs every year. One such initiative is the GuruQ Knowledge Pyramid, a one-of-a-kind program with CRY to uplift underprivileged children. We conceived the idea of creating a pyramid with a number of bookshelves, wherein people can participate and donate books, resulting in the collection and donation of over 8,000 books. In the following years, we hired a truck and decorated it with Knowledge Pyramid branding. We named it the Knowledge Pyramid On-The-Go, which we promoted through digital campaigns. The motive behind this initiative was to enable more people to participate by removing the time and distance constraints that people had. We are also proud to say that we sponsored the GuruQCRY Cyclothon that assisted in the education of a 1,000 underprivileged children for an entire year as a part of our commitment to changing India. Business Connect: What are the milestones in your journey till now? Minal: We have a goal-oriented approach to our growth strategy. Realizing each of these goals is a celebration of our small yet significant successes. This outlook propels our growth consistently. However, some of these milestones would be reaching 1,000+ hours of tutoring, on-boarding 15,000+ tutors, launching our core services in tutoring, to name a few. Minal Anand, strongly believes in what Benjamin Franklin once said: “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” She further adds that an informed business decision requires knowledge and knowledge requires research. One can then build path-breaking business strategies based on that knowledge and drive business growth optimally. Therefore, if one is in a managerial or decision-making role in today’s highly competitive market, it is essential for them to make decisions based on proper research.

The preferred choice for e-commerce management
Dr. Amit Mishra | Business Connect n the last few years, the entrepreneurial scene in India has really picked up and become mainstream. Earlier, very few people used to take that plunge into entrepreneurship but now we see students just out of colleges starting their companies. A whole lot of young minds are delving deeper into the world of enterprising. Several budding ideas have placed India on the global platform. Many companies are bubbling out to cement their position as the market leader in their domain. KreateKonnect is one such company that was ideated by two creative entrepreneurs Abhishek Jain and Piyush Jaidev. The Company was founded in June 2015 with a vision to create one of the largest and most dynamic ecosystem for e-commerce entrepreneurs. It started working with a vision to provide a platform to the clients from where they could manage their entire e-commerce business from a single dashboard. In 3 years, it has been able to successfully build a community of thriving internet entrepreneurs who are selling to more than 20 countries across the world using its solution. It is an e-commerce management company that helps sellers to sell products across various online marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart and Paytmmall, etc. It manages more than 20 e-commerce marketplaces from around the world and aims to make online selling easier and efficient for its clients. Coming out of all odds
For any start-up one of the biggest challenges is always hiring the right people. In the initial days it is very difficult to get the right talent and then able to retain them. But, the company has been able to get very good talent since the beginning who have stayed with it till date. It boasts of less than 2% attrition rate. Moreover, for the company, managing teams www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 7 February 2019 INDIA

across different cities was always a major obstacle. Also, since both the co-founders used to work out of different cities, there was a problem of coordination and managing teams remotely. Both Abhishek and Piyush have always believed in the power of string processes and that’s what they have created at KreateKonnect. Each and every process at KreateKonnect has been developed as such that it works with the same effectiveness at scale.Systems such as a centralized repository of all client data, standard data collection and reporting templates, simultaneous analysis of more than 20+ data points and generate custom insights for each client are some of the highly scalable processes at the company. In its journey of last 3 years, this has been possible because of the company’s single point focus on having rock solid systems at place. This has helped to keep the company profitable and sustainable. Its clientele is very diverse and is a good mix of big corporations, SMEs, designers, artisans, e-commerce entrepreneurs and brands. Some of the notable names are Asian Paints, Archies and HP etc. Both Abhishek and Piyush are very excited about the company’s future. We are working on some groundbreaking processes and leveraging technology to help our clients in managing their e-commerce businesses with ease and efficiency. We want to be a one-stop solution for all e-commerce needs and are working towards the same. Every day its technology team is enhancing the platform to make it more and more widely acceptable. Its sales and marketing team is working round the clock to onboard sellers from every nook and corner of the world. The operations team which services each client with great enthusiasm and vigor complements the other departments wonderfully. It is this unique blend of ‘Services + Technology’ that continues to be its biggest differentiator till date.
Culture of responsibility & Foundation
The Company is a team of 30 people spanning across brand managers, operations executives, technology, sales and marketing, HR and accounts. Since the beginning, the culture of the company has been promoting free thinking. Once every month, there are brain storming sessions where every team member discusses what strategies worked and what didn’t in that particular month. All the new ideas are laid out on the table and the best ones are then put into implementation for the coming months. It also promotes a culture of responsibility and accountability among all the employees. If a particular task is assigned to someone, he/she has to take full responsibility of the deliverable in a timely manner. The person can engage any number of people across various teams but the sole responsibility lies with him/her. At KreateKonnect everyone truly believes in the power of data. The company has developed proprietary models that are analyzing more than 20 data points at any time. The system has been developed such that it keeps becoming intelligent as more and more data is ploughed in. Its
forecasting and trend models help the clients to predict the demand of high selling products, plan their inventory accordingly, be prepared for seasonality, discontinue loss making products, identify high performing regions, analyze sales and trend patterns at various times and on days. It had realized very early into the business that going forward, its grip on data and generating insights from it would be the biggest forte. Today with more than 85% client retention rate, the risk has paid off. KreateKonnect wants to be one of the most influential e-commerce management brands in the Indian e-commerce space in the next few years. At this point, it works with more than 20 e-commerce marketplaces across the globe. Its integrated cloud based solution is being used to manage more than 10000 SKUs spread across various categories such as home furnishing, electronics, pet products, etc, and process more than 1000 orders daily.
Global presence
It not only helps the clients to sell across the globe but it also works the other way round wherein it helps companies and brands from other countries to sell in India on the online marketplaces. In the next 1-2 years, the company intends to get more and more sellers from other countries on its platform. The Company is looking at further expansion. Within a span of 3 years, it has scaled to a team of 30 people spanning across 3 offices in Delhi, Vadodara and Bengaluru. In 2019, it is looking to invest more in technology and scaling the tech team. It also has plans to expand sales and marketing team. It aims to reach 100 clients by the end of 2019 with a monthly GMV of INR 10 crores. It had raised its seed round in early 2017. Though it is an operationally profitable company. It has plans to raise series A round in mid-end 2019. It has been able to maintain a healthy ratio of 50:50 for male and female employees in its company. KreateKonnect values the person and his/her skill set and ability to learn. It has tried to ensure that its workplace doesn’t discriminate or encourage biases towards anyone. “We have built the company as a one big family and intend to maintain the same going forward”, asserts Mr Jaidev.
Key figures

THE CREATIVE PROCESS OF BECOMING AN ENTREPRENEUR Business Connect Team The really first step of becoming an entrepreneur is to conceive an idea of your wants and wishes. What do you really want? Sit down and write it out on a piece of paper. Write it in the present tense. You might begin by writing.” I am so happy and grateful now that…”and then explain how you want your life, idea and future to be, in every aspect. Asking is the first step of the creative process of an empire, so make it habit to ask. If you have to make a choice and you don’t know which way to go, ask! You should never be stumped on anything in your path of success, just be clear about your wants, decisions and life.
www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 7 February 2019 INDIA
[ 30 ]
Asking yourself about any idea is really fun. It’s like having the universe as your catalogue. you flip through it and say, “I’d like to have this experience or I’d like to have that product or I’d like to have a per-son like that.” Its is YOU placing your order with the universe. • • •
Don’t get fret and worry about them. Don’t think about lack of them. Don’t lose faith in you and your efforts.
Step two is believe. Believe that the idea to conceived is already yours, have what I love to call unwavering faith. Believing in the unseen. One must believe that you have received. Just have complete and utter faith. If you had placed an order from a catalogue then relax, and keep in mind that you are going to receive what you ordered and get on with your life. • • • • • • • •
Dos See the things that you want as already yours. Know that they will come to you at need then let them come. Think of them as yours, as belonging to you or as already in your possession. DON’Ts Don’t get fret and worry about them. Don’t think about lack of them. Don’t lose faith in you and your efforts.
You can have what you want—if you know how to form a mold for it in your own thoughts. There is no dream that may not come true, if you learn to use the creative force working with you. The methods that work for one will work for all. The key to power lies in using what you have…freely, fully and thus opening wider channels for more creative force to flow through you.
Step three, and the final step in the process is to receive. Begin to feel wonderful about your idea and precept the way you will feel once it arrives, feel it now. And in this process it’s important to feel good, to be happy because when you’re putting yourself in the frequency of what you want. If you just intellectually believe something, then only you put the best efforts to turn the fantasy into fact, you’re in the position to build bigger and more bigger fantasies and this desire gives birth to a successful entrepreneur. Action is a word which imply “work” to some people, but inspired action will not feel like work at all. Inspired action is effortless and it feels wonderful because you are on the frequency of whatever you have desired foar.

Sungandh Bahl | Business Connect ndia has been a never-ending road of being tagged as a maledominated society, but there are women like Dipti Agrawal, Co-founder & CEO, Tudip Technologies, who have been breaking these stereotypes damn well. A value driven software services company, Tudip Technologies strives to deliver to its clients’ business based web and mobile solutions. These solutions are tailored to expertise and innovation to help the firm achieve its business goal. With headquarters in Pune, they have successfully established themselves in the USA and California with channel partners in Europe and Netherlands as well. Brimming with excellence, passion and business acumen, Ms. Dipti in conversation with Business Connect Magazine talks about the corporate ethos of her company, fairer sex and more, Business Connect: Enlighten us on your journey as a woman, as an entrepreneur, both. Ms. Dipti: The journey as an entrepreneur has been full of challenges. Like every person, I also had my ups and downs, but I believe it is important to survive as a company. Not only have
[ 32 ]
we survived, but we have also learned and grown as a company. We have accepted changes and we are one of the few companies in India which uses a cutting edge technology. As for my journey as a woman, it was no different than a journey of a man trying to establish a software company in India. I was blessed to have the support of my colleagues and employees and nowhere had I felt that I was treated differently just because I am a woman. Business Connect: How do you feel the software industry’s nature is in the current scenario? Ms. Dipti: If you look at the current scenario, there must be no industry as volatile as the software industry. The software industry is in literal terms updating by the minute. In order to survive in this industry, one must be agile and open to changes. To sum it up I can say that the industry endorses the “perform or perish” attitude perfectly. Business Connect: Did you see any transformation happening for startups, over the years? Ms. Dipti: Yes, I definitely see a dynamic transformation for the startups. Previously the concept of a startup was an alien concept. Not many people were interested in the concept of startups due to the fear of risks and losses. However, today if we see, the concept of startups is widely accepted. In fact today I see the goal of many youngsters is to venture into startups. Startups are now being accepted widely and today we see a lot of aids being provided to the budding startups. This development in startups is very crucial for the development of India. Business Connect: Being a woman, is your story of struggle any different from others? Ms. Dipti: For each and every journey struggle is evident and I also had to struggle. But I did not face any such challenge being a woman while leading an organization as I was always surrounded by people who looked skill and hard work as the final parameter instead of gender. To sum it up, I would like to say being a leader is not a matter of muscle but it is a matter of mind and multi-tasking all the time. I think we women are inherently better
tuned to perform the leadership roles because we are good at these 2 key parameters. Business Connect: What kind of clients do you serve, any special mentions? Ms. Dipti: At Tudip Technologies we serve all types of clients from local to international. As we have a wide range of products and services to offer, we have clients from different industries as well. Apart from the clients in the IT industry, we have clients from the healthcare industry, agriculture industry, the education industry, fashion industry, automobile, government of Maharashtra and many more. I believe all our clients are special, but if I have to mention a special client, I would very proudly mention Google as I believe this was a commendable achievement on our part. Business Connect: How do you keep up the pace with the changing market trends? Ms. Dipti: Agility is one of the fortes of Tudip. We can adapt to changing market trends very fast. We have a young workforce with us and it is very easy for us to the Business Connect: Do you believe R&D is essential for the growth of the company? Ms. Dipti: As I mentioned earlier, the IT industry is very volatile in nature. I believe R&D is very essential for not only the growth of the company but I would say it is essential for the survival of the company. R&D widens the horizons and thus a company can find out what all it can venture into. Business Connect: Do you feel women today face equal competition or is there an ‘it’s okay’ attitude to it? Ms. Dipti: When it comes to competition, men and women face equal competition. Certainly, I definitely don’t see any “it’s okay” attitude and I think it is fair enough. I believe in gender equality and the fact that a person is a man or a woman should not affect the competition. Business Connect: In terms of AI, web, google cloud, Dev ops etc. what do you feel the future holds? Ms. Dipti: Looking at the current scenario, AI is going to play a huge role.
[ 33 ]
Most of the things are controlled by the AI today and this is just the beginning. Along with AI, cloud technology is also going to play a major role as data storage is now being rapidly shifted to the Cloud. Thus, I believe AI and cloud technology will have a crucial role to play in the future. Business Connect: How necessary do you feel is it to keep your employees content, how do you ensure it? Ms. Dipti: I believe one of the biggest assets of the company is the employees of the company. It is basically a cycle if the employees are happy the client will be happy. If the employees are not happy, they cannot make the clients happy. To ensure that the employees are content with the company, we have many activities directed towards employee development. We also provide incentives, awards, and perks like flexible shift Business Connect: Lastly, is there a message you would like to give to Business Connect readers? Ms. Dipti: I would like to say that be it any industry or field which you are in, there is no substitute for hard work. To conclude I would like to emphasize on the acceptance of change. Be open to changes and always have an adaptive attitude. Agility will take you a long way. Smarter technologies are invading the picture rapidly and the market is transforming at a higher pace, and in a space of this manner, there is a need a visionary who can primarily provide quality solutions to its clients. And with expertise, international market exposure, and a strong workforce, Dipti Agrawal has been functionally providing a comprehensive implementation of web and mobile business solutions. Tudip Technologies is just the solution for all your DevOps, IOT, cloud, software development, web, and mobile solution needs. They are effectively working towards creating a niche by offering cutting edge integrated services, best in class process and innovation.
Believe in “doing different things, and doing them differently”, Tudip Technologies.

ver the years, there have been some significant transformations in the information technology and development sector in India. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 7 February 2019 INDIA
Mr. Ali: Actually the company already existed in the market as a sole proprietorship firm with a different name operating at a much smaller scale with limited service portfolio. This was the time we (Me & my co-founder) had gained some name in the market as IT Services Consultant. One day coincidentally we met the owner in CCD (I’m coffeeholic), the conversation which was started we greetings ended up with selling up his loss-making proprietorship firm to us within two hours :) Soon after its acquisition we started working upon its rebranding, expanding its portfolio of services and reinstating the loss-making acquired firm into the marketleading position by grabbing some government, leading hospital and small town hotel projects. We weren’t satisfied with just being an IT Services Consultant, and always wanted to achieve something better and bigger, and not to forget the digital revolution in India that has started impacting

Lovely Sharma | Business Connect SME sector. All these created a force of motivation that forced us for the inception.
Business Connect: Where does your expertise stand? Mr. Ali: Our technical expertise and cutting edge technology helps to deliver cost-effective solutions to suit current and future requirements with IT, BPO & KPO, Managed Testing Services, Testing Process Outsourcing (TPO), Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Internet Marketing. Business Connect: How do you assess the present scenario in software products/services domain? Mr. Ali: We believe that in Software Products/Services domain, Software Development and Testing is an underappreciated phase in the software development lifecycle, hence to build a better system it is required to have a good QA, Developer, and Tester. Whether our clients want to develop a small application or big enterprise,
we can provide the right testing solutions and services as per their requirements. Business Connect: Where do you see the scope of improvement in the industry? Mr. Ali: With growing science of technology, there is a need for improvement to match up with the latest trends of the market. Problems spur because of the complexity of technology and the rapid pace of change. Experience tells us that quality improvements in IT delivery and service support can be achieved by introducing such considerations as user satisfaction, integration and flexibility early on in the decision process and reinforcing them throughout the review process. Somewhere, I also have a feeling that the government has an important role to play in helping to expand the IT Industry, critical and long term supporting is expected from government agencies to name some, FDI in IT sector, rules & regulations governing the operations and data protection policies. Business Connect: How have you adapted yourself to the latest needs of the market? Mr. Ali: We focus upon R&D and either innovate a solution if the project demands and is within the budget or use the existing solution by emulating our competitors knowing our strengths and limitations. I believe that we should always know our core competencies and respond to ever-changing market needs. Often times, this much is not enough, we need to check our marketing strategy as well. Business Connect: Being a key person of the company, how do you ensure its smooth functioning? Mr. Ali: I keep adjusting as per needed. Sometimes, I act as a Customer Service Representative by visiting the customers personally to ask for feedback. Sometimes, I become a visionary of my small corporate to create a vision of what the company should be doing the next financial year or after 3 years or after 5 years from now. Always,
having a plan B if plan A goes wrong is another important factor.
under unbearable pressure and above all patience.
Business Connect: Did you face any obstacle during the initial days? Mr. Ali: In India, especially in West Bengal (the place of Reignsys’s origin) small business owners are of conservative nature, the fear of losing their investment in something unknown to them and the hesitation of change in their day to day business operations due to application of ITenabled services, are some of the major challenges we had to overcome whenever approaching a new prospect.
Business Connect: What are your contributions to CSR activities? Mr. Ali: Twice in a year generally every 6 months, we organize 7 to 10 days free workshop for students, housewives or anyone who is 12th passed and has basic computer and Smartphone knowledge and is interested in being an online entrepreneur. During this workshop, we teach them website development, blogging, YouTube and basics of App Development, along with living examples and projects. So, that they can be a contributor to digital India and become an online entrepreneur.

Mr. Ali: The development cycles, processes, and methodologies we follow are tailored to suit the customer’s continuously changing requirements. Aashir Sinha: A Young Sports Entrepreneur’s Startling Rise Vikas Jha | Business Connect
How old were you when you got your first paycheck? Typically, you tend to be in your early 20s or mid-20s when you celebrate your first salary. But how about getting your first salary (or income) at the age of twelve, and that to the tune of $900? Don’t be surprised. Today, we are going to tell you about the startling rise of a teenaged sports entrepreneur who has become an inspiration for thousands across the world. This young entrepreneur gained his leadership skills from a rich legacy of eminent scholars and intellectuals in his family who have served the nation for years and still continue to do so. We are talking about Aashir Sinha, the young founder of Global Heroes. His motivational journey to entrepreneurship began when he was just 12 years old. Aashir is a diehard fan of the NBA, the popular basketball league. When he was 12, he began posting every minute detail pertaining to the NBA on his Facebook page. Soon, the page was followed by over a hundred thousand followers. Moreover, more than 20 handlers from different countries including Australia, South Africa, and Brazil among others began contributing to the page. Gradually, his NBA Facebook page became a raging success among teenagers and young adults from several countries. Money, Money, Money Aashir wanted to monetize this Facebook page, and when a popular sports portal showed interest in taking over his Facebook page, he sold his page for $900. This is how he made his first exit. Obviously, Aashir was thrilled but the happiness did not last long. He started missing his FB page which had by now become a crucial part of his life.

As he grew older, his enthusiasm and love for sports kept growing. Apart from basketball, he became an avid follower of cricket and tennis also. He started following famous cricketers and everything related to their day-today life. Moreover, he would discuss his favorite players with friends and wanted to know their opinions on those players. Aashir shares one of the life-changing moments. He recalls putting himself in the shoes of Roger Federer, the world famous tennis player. One day while playing tennis, he was very frustrated because he was losing. He decided to try to play like Roger Federer, but the moment he thought of Roger Federer, his mind started looking for those snippets relating to Federer which could help him play better. This ignited his creativity and he started to develop a mobile app that would bring all the interesting player information in a well-packaged format to users. Aashir travels a great deal. He has been all over India and has traveled across Delhi, Mumbai, and Jharkhand among others. He is very eager to know how people perceive one player or a sport. India is a country where cricket is considered a religion. Kids admire and idolize their cricketers. They want to know every little thing about their favorite player. But there is no unified platform where one can get all the information relating to a particular player. This pain point became a solid business idea for our young entrepreneur. The 15-year old founded “Global Heroes” in 2016 but it was not a cakewalk initially. Discussing the struggles he had working on Global Heroes over skype with people from around the world, as a busy high school student to learn the art of entrepreneurship and had to develop crucial skills, necessary to bring-to-market the innovative concept that had sprung out of his imagination. It was not easy to pull together a team willing to work long hours for no salary. All their coordination work had to happen via long Skype conference calls. In addition, Aashir grew the Heroes of Cricket while he was working hard in high school on many exams and college applications.
sports fans be it in cricket or tennis. While talking to Aashir, one can feel his zeal and passion to make a mark. His confidence and humble nature go hand-in-hand. During our interview, which was his first interview to the media, there was not a pinch of hesitation in the entire interview. Taking into consideration that he is still a teenager, his in-depth knowledge about sports marketing, building a fan base, and how to develop technology is astonishing. Global Heroes has added one more feather to its cap by becoming a partner with the Delhi Capitals, a major IPL team (erstwhile Delhi Daredevils). In such a short span of time, achieving such a colossal success is something that even the established entrepreneurs need to learn. Aashir is indeed a role model who is leading from the front. Aashir has set an example for kids and teenagers of his age. You must be passionate about what you want to do. After that, it only takes determination, zeal and a willingness to carve out your own niche. If you have a clear goal set in your mind, then everything will fall into place one by one. Aashir is attempting to expand the presence of “Global Heroes” to an all new level by tapping into major sportsloving countries. Moreover, he is willing to expand into other sports as well such as football, hockey, and basketball among others. Let’s wish him luck - a very bright future awaits him.
Excellence can be acquired at any age Dealing with the challenges of a startup is not a child’s play. Aashir proved his leadership by solving every problem and focusing only on the positive aspects. One of the earliest and biggest milestones that he achieved was bringing Harsha Bhogle, the renowned cricket commentator, on board. Mr. Bhogle loved the idea that was brought to him by Aashir. But winning the faith of this witty commentator was not an easy task. It took more than four months for Aashir to convince Mr. Bhogle to have a look at his one-of-a-kind startup idea. After winning the confidence of Harsha Bhogle, he worked on a robust UI platform that knew exactly the needs of people, their search preferences and how the information from different sources could be accumulated and compiled at a single destination. There were 7,000 visitors on the very first day of the portal and the platform was appreciated for being an innovative player-centric app. Stepping stones to entrepreneurial success Since then, the 3-year old startup has come a long way. It has become the must-have destination for thousands of

Sungandh Bahl | Business Connect “The journey has been filled with few bumps, many smiles and a whole lot of learning. Having diverse experiences in multiple sectors opens one’s mind to various avenues. One gets to learn about different nature of businesses, their challenges and opportunities” added Shivani Kapur, The Founder, Mirah Belle. In spite of a number of initial hardships, she overcame each, her zeal to bring metamorphosis in the lifestyle of customers kept her on toes. Quality is all that matters Mirah Belle fathoms the responsibility to deliver products that are at par with the industry standards. “As an Industry, we have a duty to make the consumer aware about the Harmful Effect of Chemicals used”, proclaims Shivani. Secondly, there is a lot of overlap between Herbal, Ayurvedic, Natural & Organic segments. A Herbal or an Ayurvedic Product may not be toxic- chemical free or as pure as an Organic Product. Licensing & Certification is very important for someone to operate in the Organic & Natural Space. To choose the correct Organic or Natural Product, Consumers must check the label and certifications before picking it up. The beauty market is gradually moving away from chemical formulations towards Natural and Organic ingredients. With the rising level of awareness amongst consumers about the ill-effects of toxic compounds
[ 46 ]
present in chemical-based beauty products, there is a steep rise in demand of Natural Products. Lastly consumers are trying to balance their needs while protecting the environment. Combating hurdles Mirah Belle is conscientious about a couple of pain points. The Company does not use hazardous chemical compounds as emulsifiers or preservatives. In terms of packaging, it is focused on using only glass and bamboo and gradually moving away from plastic. Being an end-to-end brand, there are several challenges it faced on a day to day basis. The Company attributes the success of Mirah Belle to the collective efforts of the entire team rather than a single individual. The Leadership Team consists of people with diverse background from Manufacturing, Operations, R&D and Management. The team shares one common goal: Enabling its success today and in the future through Differentiated Products, Operational Excellence and Strong partnerships. When the R&D team is building a strong product pipeline to address more verticals in the coming months, the Sales Team is expanding its reach across the Country. Building a Startup is challenging and at the same time exciting. The key to success is to identify and rectify obstacles. It is essential to believe in what you do and do things which benefit people at large. If you are building a company solely for making money or making a product because it is the latest fad, it is eventually going to lose its legs in the long run. It is important to have a good product which is also doing well for many people. By sticking to these two fundamentals, one can overcome every challenge that the world throws at you. “Always remember why you started at the first place”. Mirah Belle sells to Customer through Direct & Indirect Channels. The clientele comprises mostly women between the age of 21 to 50 who are health conscious and aware. It consults them regularly and suggests them products and regimes to address their pain points. If you, your company and your product stands for something relevant then you automatically become relevant in this competitive world. “In case the challenges become overbearing, one should always look inwards and remember what the core objective was& why it is so essential to solve the problem that made you take you take up this endeavor.” Also, it is essential to have good guidance through mentors & advisors who will keep you motivated and focused through the tough times. The Company, despite being a start-up, has never shied away from contributing towards various CSR activities. Shivani Kapur, founder of Mirah Belle says, “We continually work with Cancer Patients, who have a health related need to use organic products. We have joined hands with an Ovarian Cancer Awareness program.” Mirah Belle has kept its goal very clear and is looking at the expansion of its E-Commerce and Retail presence across the country. By the end of this year, it is looking to have its presence in 53 Major Cities in India. In addition, it is also looking at entering the Large Format Modern Trade as well as the Export market in the near future. Every now and then a new fad for your skin care is introduced in the market that lives its life and eventually dies down, it’s either harmful to you or your surroundings. For every single brand, getting its recognition is the priority. Dreams are in every head but shaping them into real frame only great entrepreneurs can do. They let their dreams as assets; efficiency as their capital and Minds as their weapons. One is held responsible for every step in the stairs of success. A great entrepreneur leads the way of the organization’s glory by their precise acts, wise decision and excellence in execution. Making every minute of them count great leaders believe in efficiency of works and setting high standards with each idea. Keeping a adage in their mind they kept on moving slow on the roads of success and lands to the space of victory by their acts. Here we at business connect magazine concludes the shining qualities of the top entrepreneurs for becoming great leaders in the lap of creating history.
Risk is the future gainers of the economy, sailing high risk can sail high yields in the future. Courage is grace under pressure; one can only make gloomy ways if right command is directed in fun-filled risks.
Precision in decision
What makes the idea be more influential other than precision of facts. The successful leader grows preciseness out of their every single engagement. Performance and richness of accuracy determines the leadership growth a lot. The one analyses every dot of the brackets to reach the destine well.
Wise advice
“Socho, samjho then react kro”!!! is an adage of centuries. All of us put every practice of advices in the box of ideas. But great leaders grow the advices wisely and firmly stood upon the decision of right and wrong!. Granting and accepting of advices took place in every organization. But to look upon the profitability, reliability of the same matters a lot. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 7 February 2019 INDIA

Learning from the past, living in the present and devising the future is the key ingredient of success recipe. Achievers ought to aim future and direct their commands so as to reach the goal. New innovation, creativity and purity in the hands matter the most in the process of gathering recognition. Every dream is based on making future by the road of present. Infinite efforts and full packet enthusiasm can only gloom the dark rooms. Complex and outdated features are no longer in life of any person, every revolution raise the tide of success with it. Following the developed Instruments and guidance is concerning arena of being successful.
Every idea is valuable but only if the are liquid, feasibly potential and probably profitable. Makeup of mind framing with subsequent approaches and ensuring feasibility in the next is much appreciated for becoming a surprise package turner.
“Mauke pe chauka marna” is quite common phrase in routine life but being Opportunistic is the best thing one can possess . Analysis of future opportunities and potential threats is considered a powerful factor in cleaning the complex backlogs of the business environment. The one who early recognizes the upcoming opportunities and begins to work from the very start may only lead glory in its hand.
I have a question, what makes you proud either be recognized in your small room of house or getting applauds from the globe?? It’s quite obvious that every one of us wants to get fame in global wheels but is that possible if we expect our ideas to be groomed in small room. No!! It can’t. Our ideas need huge platform to explore. Penning the journey in diverse arena is one of the important stuff for the house. Being stables enough to make things better and countering the balls in its courts is foremost sign of endeavors. A survivor earns the victory by acting upon the weaknesses and empowering the organization’s pins. Actions are most important thing rather than freaking reactions. Politeness holds the power to earn billions. Being a humble bundle of success Is the key to crowns. Almost every great leader are remarked for their grounded behavior and humble nature. Sweet person can make things in the favor easier than other.

Their in-house activities for developing field force solutions to largely reduce the burden on client ended administration, general operations and reduce risk by automating service processes to encompass dayday tasks as well; hence they do not see themselves as a technology company but they do definitely use technology as an enabler for managed services. The company does not consider modern day service aggregators as their direct competitors, in fact Siddhant believes them to have a natural synergy as they are essentially the fulfillers of requests placed through multiple platforms and as such can also vastly aid the marketplace’s woes in labor and field force management with their industry leading systems and processes. Mr.Siddhant added, “I don’t think I was a born Entrepreneur. Being sharp-eyed about the problems around me has always been a driver to come up with solutions for the people around me. Definitely instincts of an entrepreneur were always there within me. I sincerely worked on them. I built the required skillsets. I was versatile in solving the problems for any domain. I wanted to be my own man and hence ended up running the company in the early days through savings off my first job and the company remained bootstrapped for a long time” He believes an idea alone does not work, it takes much more than just a thought. Innovation is driven by concept but it’s necessary to comprehend the markets needs as well. He likes to study the customer, understand the problem and develop solutions accordingly. The idea in its individual capacity doesn’t work, it needs right kind of thought driven implementation as well. Recent developments “A majority of our clientele today are businesses, we are currently focusing on upgrading our solutions to be industry specific. We have been able to deploy solutions across multiple industries ranging from Home and Property Owners, Corporate Offices, Large OEM’s or Manufacturers, Hospitality Industry, Hospitals, Institutions, Developers, Property Consultants and CGHS / RWA’s or Apartment Complexes. We instill confidence whilst not providing traditional manpower contracts, instead we look to drive efficient processes.” Added Mr. Siddhant In initial years and even today, the company has focused and constantly updated their services and products towards the urban dweller. Although the people & market are not very well prepared for organized home services in Delhi as heavy promotional campaigns do not suit home bread and bootstrapped businesses However, there are substantial number customers looking for good quality, assured and verified services even Annual maintenance services contracts for homes; which has been the company’s original proposition. The company currently uses the latest technology in imparting B2C services and in controlling the service quality and providing the first of a kind Home and Property Management Platform that goes beyond just

s technology becomes cheaper and more accessible, we believe it can and should be used to bring more voices to the table. So we have on board the new entrant into this system of pledging to take “Our firm started off as a Software Development and Digital Marketing Agency where we were trying to pitch in clients using the experience of our team members. Over a period of two years, we have transformed into a managed incubator for growing startups, where we swap equity against a varied range of technology & marketing solutions and minor financial investments, says Founder and CEO Saurabh Pathak. Digital Democracy is a customer centric software company, which tends to become a reliable partner for efficient of your projects. The company is best known is market for competence in performance and endurance of business solutions. Well, the best part is that they haven’t jumped the market with an agenda of exceeding the present giants of this industry. They just wish to focus providing the best. In words of Pathak, “We do not compete with the giants in our domain, it will take time and a vast amount of experience to reach that stage, I believe our strength lies in the detailed day to day involvement in the startups we do handholding with and developing a comfort level up to the extent of being allowed to take the smaller grassroots level decisions for the startup’s better.” Bring it on! Things have been difficult during our initial years, especially when both the pillars of the company (cofounders) were still in college andthey already had on board 8-10 employees working for them. They always used to indulgein fights for distributing salaries on time and covering up basic costs, but the early start allowed both the partners a lot of time to make mistakes and gather experiences. Today, a lot of interesting domains have opened up for startups which were initially accessible only to the giants having deep pockets, the telecom sector for example. “We have recently had the privilege to shake hands with a Block chain based product delivering a solution to make the life of the big telecom operators easier,” asserts Pathak. Early stage founders are usually very passionate and protective about their product or idea; hence it takes time and merit to build trust between the two. Both the founder havenever pushed anyone who is not comfortable with the offering, and always made sure the founders are leading from the front. Usually the right push involves providing access to a good network and opportunities to save cash-flow in the early stages of the company,

while not compromising with the quality. In their case, they had aligned themselves with ideation and seed level startups, usually having a team size of 4-6 when a handshake takes place. A Platter of Delicacies In the startup atmosphere, it’s important that the team sticks together, also while not at work. “We have seen enough refurnishing costs, thanks to cricket, table tennis and what not in our office premises,” counts Pathak. Alongside, it’s always important to know about new technologies and platforms entering the market which might be a threat or a better solution to the problems you’ve been trying to solve with your product over time. Pathak is of the view that, “I feel one should always know who else has identified the same market problem as you and if he’s using a simpler and more scalable way to solve it. The zeal is especially helpful whenever a new idea or problem hits your way. Thinking with the first day at office mindset always guides best.” To the amazement of many, this entrepreneurs also tends to shell time from his busy schedule in learning sailing. Also, he is on the verge of getting his sailor’s license as well. He is truly proving to be an inspiration for many who claim that entrepreneurship involves you to be at work 24*7 and forget to practice your hobbies. Further, he says that, “I wish the future keeps giving us opportunities to experience and align with some interesting ideas and ventures.”
