ANISH POPLI
Founder & CEO
ProcMart is envisioned to make procurement services more effortless, effective and rapid for B2B transactions. This team of hard-working professionals developed an ecosystem that is functioning as a one-stop solution to all the needs of a business. This Organization has introduced numerous machine learning systems that, when correctly applied, anticipates challenges. THE INSIDE STORY This company was founded in December 2015, the year which proved to be the biggest transition phase for different Indian markets. As the country was going through various economic reforms, the founder, Mr. Anish Popli anticipated a huge production boost at the hand of government initiatives such as Make In India and introduction of GST. Being from the procurement background, Anish understood all the short comings of the market like unorganized B2B transactions and lack www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 3 | Special Edition December 2020 INDIA

of technology involvement at the consumer level. He aspired to fill these gaps and began by addressing the ground level problems and provided comparable quotations to the procurement professionals. With time, he thought of developing a mechanism which can smoothen this whole process. Anish foreseen the data as an asset to procurement decisions and the impact it is going to create tomorrow. He started recording every iteration which helped his team in development of the integrated solution that they are now providing to their clients. ProcMart implements innovative strategies for maximizing inventory reduction to help businesses reduce the risk of stock-outs. ProcMart has been providing a better operation flow, accountability, process automation, safe functioning, comprehensive trace ability to their partners. The Business has found a long way beyond a simplistic goal of “simplifying procurement” to consider the various difficulties that their clients face in day to day transactions. During initial phase of client engagement, the requirements are understood, a datadriven solution is proposed, prototype is presented, and the project is then carried out. The team works every day to strike the perfect balance between adaptability and scalability. ProcMart protected its clients and associates even in the toughest times when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the entire economy. When the whole world was standing still and all the services were at halt, this team has been able to distribute more than 1088 lakh PPE items including gloves, face masks, respirators, helmets, facial shields, and kits in 14 Countries and 26 Indian states. All this has been possible because of their far-flung logistic connect and vendor reach that helps ProcMart to get the right thing for corporates at the right time. BRANDS ARE THE BRAND AMBASSADORS Amongst a wide array of marketing tactics utilized by the Company, Account-Based Marketing (ABM) has led to ProcMart’s implementation of a marketing campaign focusing on a range of target clients. The Company sees that they are able to balance customization with scalability for the solution being delivered. Health
A Dynamic Relationship Between Health And Economy
The performance of your health is completely reflected on the economy as well as on the health systems. Investing upon health is not just a desirable, but also an essential priority for most societies. Though, our health systems often face challenges that are tough as well as complex, in some part derived from new pressures like aging populations, growing prevalence of chronic illnesses, and intensive use of expensive yet vital health technologies. Additionally, we must deal with higher expectations of citizens and resolving persistent inequities in access and in health conditions among different groups. Wondering about the issue of how to ensure the financial sustainability of health systems, while creating a positive contribution towards the macroeconomic performance, it has moved to the top of the policy agenda that is across the OECD area. The ample work undertaken in the OECD Health Product has intended at providing policymakers with the evidence that they are needed to promote more value for money in the health sector while confirming universal access, equity along with raising the quality of care. There is a lot that has been learned even though there is more to discover.

In order to brief about the relationship between health and economic growth, it is necessary to understand the concept of health in a broad sense. When we talk about health, it is not only the absence of illnesses but also the ability of people to develop to their potential during their entire lives. In accordance with that health is an asset that individuals possess, which has an important source of well-being as well as instrumental value. In terms of instrumental, health impacts economic growth in a number of ways. For instance, it reduces the production losses due to worker illness, it also increases the productivity of adults as a result of better nutrition and its lower absenteeism rates and improves learning among school children. Health also agrees for the usage of natural resources that might normally be destined for the treatment of ill health. Health has its effects on economic growth directly through the productivity of labor and the economic burden of illnesses. Health also has an impact on economic growth indirectly since aspects such as child health affect the future income of people through the impact that health has on education. This kind of indirect impact is way easier to understand if it is observed on a family level. When a family is healthy, both the father and mother can hold a job and earn money that allows them in feeding, protecting, and sending their children to school. When children are healthy and well-nourished, they will perform better in school and this would lead to a positive impact on their future income. Also, the health loss affects the poor to a great level, as at times the only asset they acquire to have is their body.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BUYING
A CAR IN THIS PANDEMIC
Until it passes, the pandemic has brought so many questions about the new normal for everyday life. Everything like schools, gyms, and many others are temporally closed all over the country except for essential services. Although, recently it has been announced by the government that there are few shops and other businesses are going to open. People are still working from home. Before the pandemic, a lot of people had a plan to buy a car. Now they might be wondering is if buying a car is still safe in the worse time. So, don’t worry I’m going to show you some experts and people opinion, It may help you.
According to Capgemini.com, “in India 70% percentage of consumer – who would prefer to avoid dealership visits to compare financing and deals due to COVID-19”. It is up from 39% before the pandemic. On April 22, 2020, Hyundai India announced to launch a program called “Click to Buy”. The company has integrated 500 dealerships under the “Click to Buy” program that is an end to end online car purchasing platform. Sure, people always want to go to the car showroom, poke around inside the car, and see the color choice. But for most people, car buying tradition will soon be almost virtual according to experts. Because of the pandemic, there are many restrictions that have forced businesses to change the way to sell the product and service to www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 3 | Special Edition December 2020 INDIA

consumers. Now the real question is, how exactly will the virtual experience be different? For instance, what if you want to negotiate a lower price? Well, you can still do that thorough their official app instead of in person. Also, you don’t need to worry about paperwork at all, your valet will bring a portable printer and take care of all these worries at your home. Mercedes, BMW, Honda, Tata motors, many other companies are also increasingly ramping up online sales platform.
Vehicle industries and dealerships that transition swiftly to e-communication would get more consumers. And no doubt, customers will also get benefits. You also need to know that it may become a situation that any vehicle will become more streamlined and very few times taking. There is only one employee who is going to handle the whole purchasing process – from test drive to finalizing paperwork and new car delivery at your home.
Experts believe that this summer could be a bit confusing time for those who want to buy a new vehicle. When a vehicle showroom gets going to earnest following months, there would be 3 model years of new cars or other vehicles to choose from: remaining 2019s model, 2020s model, and new intro model 2021s. You will also get surprising deals like 0% finance, for 84 months. Although, few of the companies will agree on this type of deal.
For those of you are wishing to buy a new model car, and are not quite as tech-savvy or have many questions — in such kind of situation, you need more handholding, otherwise, it could be challenging. Although a lot of people know what kind of car they need, in such cases, you can go online.
For consumers, it will be very tough to know the dealer’s bottom line, offering the many inducements and the shifting sands of the post-coronavirus landscape. In such time, there is only sound you will hear from them “It is a good deal as compare in the past.”
Experts say that consumers aren’t just ones stumbling into the new world “online car buying”. The majority of car dealerships are not ready to enter into a complete online world. It may mean that customers won’t experience a perfect online service, and you may have to visit the showroom.
I asked one of the showroom persons, who said that “it would be better if you buy at the end of the month,” at the time, the dealer will be in rush to move their inventory, and you can negotiate on price.
In addition, there are a lot of finance & insurance products that would have been important to the customers may not be passably presented online – even offered at all. It indicates that consumers aren’t going to have a chance to consider an extended service agreement and other optional services.
Seeing in such kind of condition, we would say that a vehicle dealership would be different than now. As we can see that we all have become accustomed to home deliveries for every single thing, cashless transaction, and pick up & drop-off series for taxi services. Now Online car purchasing tradition has grown so quickly, the day isn’t too far off when parts and repairing will certainly become common.
As we have discussed a lot of thig about “online buying car”. But People like to visit a dealership. According to autonews.com, 83% of people cannot buy a car without seeing it physically, and 75% buyer would not want to buy a vehicle without a dealer involved. It all shows that the value of the dealership is still alive.

AeSha For Friendships Foundation
BRINGING WORLDS TOGETHER, CHANGING LIVES TOGETHER Dr. Amit Mishra | Business Connect
“AeSha”
A somewhat unusual sounding word, has quite a deep meaning behind. The source of this word can be found in two sister languages, and the meaning of this word can tell the story and mission of the AeSha Foundation. AeSha is an amalgam of two words from Sanskrit and Urdu language which translates to “Her own Desire”. The founding members of AeSha are just like the name of the organisation; everyone from different fields excelling in various areas of research and comprehension. This led to them coming under one umbrella with an aim to priorities a gender-based lens to developmental work and create new benchmarks for more equitable organisational cultures. The nanocluster of many people who are well versed in their streams gives AeSha a unique lens to progress and attainment of these goals.
AeSha for Friendships Foundation strives to think beyond the conventional strategic poles of either the ‘corporate’ or the ‘social’. This allows AeSha to create a more amalgamating work culture and promote values that uphold human emotions and agency. The idea of AeSha was conceived at a time when its base city, Delhi NCR saw one of the most disturbing periods of violence in North-East Delhi. The situation was further exacerbated as the COVID-induced lockdown necessitated the unprecedented need for relief and rehabilitation to meet the needs of people from different socio-economic strata. During these times, AeSha worked towards providing essential resources and requirements available to women, who were already struggling with their day-to-day responsibilities and affected by compounded vulnerabilities. The organisation focuses on a 360-degree approach towards sustainable interventions ranging widely, with some crucial sectors being - Livelihood Building, Enrichment through Education, Psycho-Social Health and Co-Mentorship Programmes for women.
Living, Psycho-Social Support, Assistive Education, Civic Engagement programs and better realisation of Fundamental Rights. Special programmes are devised with and for a diverse range of stakeholders, including single mothers, women waste-pickers, wives of the incarcerated, rural women entrepreneurs, urban women farmers, first-generation women learners and women artisans. Alongside this, AeSha aims to build sustainable community relationships and work towards upholding the voices and agency of women in particular.
ORGANISATIONAL EFFORTS AND MOTIVATIONS
For AeSha, building impactful and sustainable development projects is about designing interventions that are based on community insights and the immediate and long-term needs of the concerned individuals, demography and neighbourhood. In this venture, they do understand that as much as advancement is about individual will and strength, it is also about the social conditions surrounding them, under which the will and strength can be nourished. AeSha makes a conscious effort to recognise the varying requirements of specific places, demographics and identities. It is not just the context that drives AeSha’s approach; the organisation strives equally to tailor their approach in line with the dreams and aspirations that people have for the betterment of their lives and their community.
AeSha aims to nurture and nourish a self-motivated and agency-driven atmosphere of work which increases the room for daily mutual understanding and nourishment. AeSha works for the betterment of the quality of life of marginalised communities via Capability Enhancement, Sustainable www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 3 | Special Edition December 2020 INDIA
32
AeSha works with a diverse base of stakeholders in geographies that presents varying requirements. It has to employ then processes and models that can cater to a diverse set of needs and aspirations. This pushes AeSha to understand vulnerability and aspirations very differently for different people. It also then demands tailor-made arrangements for all women that they work with because they believe that there is no “One Size Fits All” approach to anybody in this field. AeSha works in a time where social structures and systems are at either a standstill or completely disintegrated. But they believe that different individuals and organisations have a responsibility to see within this moment of disintegration, possibilities of rebuilding day-to-day lives through sustainable relationships and highimpact engagements. Thus, AeSha’s efforts are directed towards creating micro spaces of transformation, and consequently, working towards increasing spaces such as these. For them, this becomes possible by committing to change that recognises people and their emotions as a base for sensitive and responsible decision making that can produce value-based intelligent responses. AeSha isn’t some deep-rooted organisation with ancestry that dates back to years. The four-month-old company has found a way to work and thrive in the violence and lockdown of Delhi. Regardless, AeSha has developed programmes in line with local and contextual demands for both, the women of Yamuna Vihar Learning Centre in North-Eastern Delhi and the Sanjay Colony Learning Centre in South Delhi. Both the Learning Centres are imagined as spaces for women to work and engage in the process of community learning and social support. AeSha believes in the principles of community ownership over its operations. The Learning Centers are wholly owned and managed by single mothers, women entrepreneurs, women artisans and women educators who engage in work of their own choice and making. Taking their work forward from their relief efforts, the organisation is working with women whose lives were disproportionately impacted after the North-East Delhi violence and the lockdown to create opportunities for sustainable and decent incomes and social support. AeSha is also developing community engagement programmes with women waste pickers from JJ Colony, Old Seemapuri in East Delhi. They strive to create sustainable employment opportunities for women wastepickers, create possibilities of communitycentred educational practice and psychosocial support. The organisation hopes to
channelise the demands, needs and aspirations of these communities through the means of advocacy and context-relevant on-ground implementation of policies. An outcome of their approach is that the operations are led by ‘Project Weavers’ who connect different stakeholders from a community with varying strands of their work, i.e., livelihood generation, education, and psycho-social support. As individuals deeply invested in bringing change through microspaces, the project weavers herald site-specific operations, while paving the way for city-wide interlinkages. Closely engaging with and supporting entrepreneurial thinking of project weavers entails that the organisation is invested in their imaginative and ingenious thinking, and in their ability to drive initiatives with best possible insights about their neighbourhoods. Supplementing this, a co-mentorship component of all their projects ensures that AeSha steps in whenever different project weavers themselves identify gaps. Preparing a community of everyday innovators and enterprising women necessitates that they tailor their approach on a case-to-case basis instead of signing up for standardised solutions or interventions. AeSha foresees what they intended on: strengthening to work in conflictridden regions. Their conviction comes from the fact that they have done work through a crisis intensive year in Delhi. Given the 360-degree focus, their ultimate vision is to create a cross-network of livelihoods and internal supply chains across various sites, while simultaneously strengthening interventions in education and psycho-social health. Through this work, AeSha aims to offer a unique lens of practice to policy-making and social consulting.
BELIEFS AND EXECUTIONS: A CONCLUSION
AeSha’s strengths lie in its unique field-based insights and a focus on humancentred design. They attempt to create spaces of sustainable impact guided by values of friendship and mutual support. AeSha posits that reason and emotions aren’t extreme opposites. One needs both of these to function and be able to do something that brings a change in the world. As they give importance to research-based interventions, they are incredibly open to local partnerships with individuals or organisations who work on similar issues. The organisation gives priority to local push, support, and collaboration across sites rife with compounded marginalisation and conflict, especially for women. Most importantly and true to the organisation’s name, AeSha for Friendships’ soul resides in the fact that “It is possible to hone friendships in business.” 33

To accomplish more within the field and work without undue restraints, the founders took a step towards establishing an institute which would enable them to contribute more to their students’ successes. Mr.Kharat believes that the motivation behind IIPC was not money but the immeasurable gratitude that teaching as a profession brings. The team at IIPC values the opportunity to guide students towards the right path.
synchronized its business modules with the ever-changing technology in a way that enhances the predefined processes. The third-party applications can be used towards this goal, and help in providing value and ease to the customers. Be it a simple everyday app like WhatsApp, or a complex method like SalesForce, the applications can and do add value towards stimulating the business workflow. A LEARNER-CENTERED APPROACH IIPC India has designed its modules with special emphasis on the practicality of learning. Mr. Kharat lives by the words of Tony Gaskins: “You either work hard to create your dream, or you will work hard to create someone else’s.” However, his dream is to help others achieve their dreams, when they resonate with his values and morals. In the corporate environment, when that got compromised, he knew it was time to work hard on building his dream to provide the same values and morals in his business, IIPC India.
IIPC India favors the 100% practical training module which benefits the candidates by increasing their potential and skills. They also have business projects and assignments which are compulsory for candidates, which eventually give them the advantage in the market while looking for a job or working on growing their business.

This is one of the major factors that makes IIPC India stand out of the crowd.
When it comes to training and providing knowledge, the trainer’s skills and abilities to bond with the candidates and explain them the concepts is what keeps the candidates satisfied. The brand name and standards of IIPC India ensure that every Trainer meets the required criteria of being a great communicator, knowledgeable and well experienced so that they can impart their learnings and experiences acceptably. Soil Connect Raises Seed Funding of $3.25 Million to Boost Marketplace for Soil & Aggregates
The first and only institutionally backed digital marketplace is Soil Connect that focuses on the multi-billion-dollar soil and aggregate industry. The organization has announced the closure of its $3.25 million seed funding round led by a seed-stage fund based in New York City, TIA Ventures, which invests in outstanding companies led by high-execution teams.
www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 3 | Special Edition December 2020 INDIA
48
Heartland Ventures are co-leading the round, which also includes the investments from a diverse mix of venture capital firms, real estate managers as well as construction companies that includes Great Oaks, CEMEX Ventures, Situs Real Estate, AB Investment Group, Bazella Contracting, Allmark Group and J.G. Pertucci Company.
including Jonathan Alvarado as Chief Growth Officer and Berkay Sebat as Head of Mobile, the seed round closes. The platform will use the proceeds to continue developing its team and to implement new updates and features, including a regulatory aspect that will allow users to keep track of goods from origin to destination.
Soil Connect launched an e-ticketing service in conjunction with the funding, advancing its goal to revolutionise the transport and management of soil and aggregates. The critical ticketing feature has traditionally been completed manually on paper, which facilitates the monitoring and invoicing of dirt-related transactions. Tickets are often illegible, unintentionally discarded or lost entirely under the antiquated paper system, resulting in a major loss of time and efficiency for contractors. The implementation of a digital version that is simple to use, takes the process into the 21st century, enabling smooth and straightforward transactions that can save time and money for consumers.
The Co-founder and Advisor to Soil Connect and Principal at Alpaca VC, Daniel Fetner stated that “The diverse make-up of investors in the seed round clearly reflects the uniqueness of the value proposition of Soil Connect, as well as the compelling market opportunity for such a marketplace that addresses a significant industry need.” “Most of our investment approach seeks to identify companies that fix visceral discomfort in markets that have not changed in a very long time. We love business models in the marketplace, where SaaS resources bring incremental value to consumers. Cliff and the team have founder-market-fit in spades, and the marketplace of Soil Connect is unique in that its consumers sit on both the sides of supply and demand. This gives them the value of consumer acquisition and helps them to expand faster than a traditional marketplace.”
The Founder & CEO of Soil Connect, Cliff Fetner stated that “The focus towards launching Soil Connect is not just in creating a marketplace but also to establish the first pure-play one-stopshop for the industry. The critical first step was to make it easier for an individual to find or dispose of the materials, along with that the e-ticketing function is something that takes it to the next level. Also, it is completely contactless, which is an important attribute at the time of COVID-19 pandemic”.
The Head of CEMEX Ventures, Gonzalo Galindo commented that “With practically no public data available, the dirt ecosystem is incipient. We are delighted to work with the Soil Connect team, which offers market transparency and collects useful knowledge for the industry. We are also very delighted to announce a pilot in the Tampa and Orlando markets with Soil Connect.”
Shortly after Soil Connect reported a series of strategic hires to further grow the capabilities of the marketplace,
Land in Orissa to be acquired by JSW Steel for ₹53,000 Crore Acharya stated that “if we are looking in terms of Odisha, we have plans to expand through both acquisitions and brownfield expansions and then followed by greenfield (project)”. An integrated steel plant of 13.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) capacity is planned to be set up by the company along with a 900 MW power plant with an investment amount of ₹53,700 crores for captive usage.
A 13.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) greenfield plant has been proposed to be set up by Steel major JSW Steel, for which land at Jagatsinghpur, Odisha will be acquired by the company. Jayant Acharya, the Director of JSW Steel (Commercial Marketing and Corporate Strategy) stated that the land might be near Paradip port, and it would be near the same place where POSCO, which is a steelmaking company in South Korea, was involved in setting up a steel plant with 12 MTPA. An (MoU) Memorandum of Understanding was signed for POSCO’s intended project between the Odisha government and the South Korean company in the year 2005. However, POSCO had to abandon the ₹52,000 crore project due to delays in environmental clearances and protests by residents, and in 2010, the pact eventually expired, without effective renewal.
Replying to a question regarding the land acquisition, “We have already identified that (land) and the process of the acquisition of that land is going on. Together with the government of Odisha … we’re doing… the land acquisition part”. Acharya added. He stated that it is the same land where earlier, POSCO was looking to set a 12 MTPA steel plant. However, a timeline was not provided by Acharya for completion of the land acquisition process. He said that “the process is going on and for certain procedures, it takes some time.” After POSCO shelved its plan to set up the steel plant, JSW Group had approached the Odisha government for land. The hearing for the company’s project was conducted last year in December. The Managing Director of IPICOL, Nitin B Jawale stated that “The huge development is that, the hearing of JSW was conducted successfully and peacefully. The integrated project was passed unopposed with almost the same investment that was being looked for by POSCO… The work is expected to start soon on the ₹53,700 crore project.” For all industrial investments in the states, The Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited (IPICOL) is the single point of contact. 49
