INDIA ON A PROGRESSIVE STREAK DESPITE THE SPORADIC PANDEMIC DISRUPTIONS The year 2021 will be remembered as a turning point in the Indian economy. The country had a clear objective: To recover from the COVID-induced recession, enhance local output, minimize trade dependence, and invest in innovation and R&D to do business with ease. The recovery is led by super-infrastructure sectors such as automobiles, digital infrastructure, services, healthcare, and metallurgy, with a record FDI of $81.97 billion in FY 2020-21, and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A) escalated. Industry leaders are sanguine about the country’s economic outlook for 2022, particularly in terms of overall growth, productivity, and capital spending. The growth is estimated to be led by robust corporate earnings. By April 2022, it is expected that 85–90% of the adult population will have been vaccinated, allowing the corporate sector to operate at optimal capacity. Because of the progressive fall in consumer prices – from 6.20% in 2020 to 5.60% in 2021, which will further reduce to 4.90% in 2022 - there is an increase in Indian consumption. The increment is expected to stimulate investment activity by increasing capacity utilization above the 75% threshold. Meanwhile, the startup ecosystem has seen a boon since early 2021. The year saw 44 new startups achieve unicorn status, totaling 83 unicorns with a total valuation of $274 billion. New startups have emerged in edtech, fintech, digital marketing, B2B, e-Commerce, etc. The startup ecosystem saw a capital flow of around $39 billion in 2021, breaking the $14.6 billion record of 2019. Considering the above statistics, India has positioned itself as one of the most competitive economies in the world. The country is expected to make major advances in cleantech, with an emphasis on decarbonization, in order to achieve long-term growth. The government is incentivizing the production of electric vehicles by purchasing PLIs and advanced chemical cell (ACC) batteries. India also wants to strengthen its trading networks by speeding up bilateral trade deals with the UAE, Australia, and the UK. onceptualized in 1981, JPF Metacast Pvt. Ltd. In the year 1975, Prakash joined his family business prevailing in the engineering industry named Prakash Home Industries that was engaged in manufacturing silencers, housing, hoods, straps, and other items in the relevant realm. The company started the production from 10 Tons per month to 400 Tons per month today. Discussing the quality and enhanced productivitythe JPF team has modified the melting process by converting a coke-fired cupola furnace to three electrical induction furnaces. They revealed that the traditional melting systems were modified by the organization for energy-efficient IGBT furnaces, where the energy saving is to the tune of 20-30%. An advanced and fully automatic high-pressure molding line has been installed throughout the organization to acquire the molding process methodology. And throughout the process, machines with new and emerging technology are replaced by the old ones. In addition, automated machines such as leak testing machines and CNC machines are installed with skilled manpower in the organization along with the adoption of Industry 4.0.
The visionary meanwhile the conversation affirmed, “We have started adopting new and emerging technologies, including simulation packages, upgrading the laboratory, recruitment of such highly educated candidates for different positions in the organization that directly helped us creating the brand value we posse today.” EDGE OVER OTHERS

We don’t even dispose of the sand that we use in the manufacturing process to generate as little waste as we can. The founder of this company Ganga Bhishen Agarwal was initially called by the name Haldiram Ji and at the beginning, he used to work in his father’s shop and sold namkeen bhujia as instructed by his father and aunts. Haldiram’s marriage was done at an early age but on the behest of his wife, he had to leave the house because of some household quarrels in 1946, Haldiram started his first shop and started selling Bikaneri Bhujia, but this time he brought some changes to its flavours and to make it tasty to eat he added little moth flour in its making and also made it thinner to make it little more crunchy to eat and as just by his idea the namkeen was loved by so many new customers and his sales increased by day by day. He kept on experimenting with the taste of bhujia and by its success Haldiram when goes to attend the marriage in Kolkata there he gets an idea of opening a shop and by this initiative, his first step towards the branching of his Bikaner Bhujia business is started and bypassing of time his business started to spread in parts of Nagpur and some of the capitals and by this success, there is no looking back took place in his life as his business started to grow more and more and he gets enough profit from it by attracting so many customers towards their shop and by here the success of Haldiram started.

“Dhirubhai Ambani’s Biography” has been the main motivating source for Mr Jhala. One day, he suddenly thought that if a delivery Attendant at a fuel pump could put up an oil refinery, why “he” a Salt Industry Manager can’t put up his salt works? At that time, he was working in a 3,000 acre salt works and started dreaming day and night for his own salt works. So, he repeatedly approached his management for their approval, and finally, the Chairman of the Company agreed. Despite having financial constraints, the visionary sowed the seeds for his saltworks in 346 acres in the eighties. His son, Mr. HD Jhala, who is the MD now, also joined him while pursuing his graduation. The initial 13 years were full of hurdles not only for father and son but for the whole family. Unfortunately, they faced frequent natural calamities during the nineties. But irrespective of all the problems, they expanded their unit to 1,341 acres by 1998.
In the year 1999, he resigned from his service and applied for additional 7,750 acres of land, which was the first-ever request from a private sector for such a large land. During the year 2000, he contributed by presenting two papers on the salt industry in ‘8th WORLD SALT SYMPOSIUM’ at The Hague (Holland). Thereafter, he presented many papers in China, Greece, and India. Those papers indirectly helped him for allocation of this land because Mr Jhala was recognised as a technocrat now. Finally, the Gujarat Government allotted additional 7,750 acres of land for the manufacturing of Salt and Bromine. Now the total area is 9,091 Acres and salt production capacity is One million tons per annum. Recently, they have also put up a Bromine Plant with 2,500 MT per annum production capacity and achieved 2,500 MT in the first 12 months itself.

Bruce is a serial entrepreneur who has conceived, launched, and operated several innovative startups over the years, beginning with Worldway Freight Systems in 1982. He was a thought-leader in that industry with innovative accounting and bookkeeping systems, and a service leader of point-to-point LTL long haul delivery. He exec-produced and secured distribution for two films, and launched two nationally distributed record labels. before finding his way into technology and media in 2005. But it was during his logistics years working closely with Fortune-100 manufacturers and branded consumer product companies that he gained eclectic insights -across a broad range of industry sectors -- from his client’s operations that he would later use in his career to recognize operational pain points and choke points, and then develop strategies to increase productivity and/or reducing redundancy. While Bruce learned how the big corporations were structured and operated, as an SME he had to be able to adapt to changing conditions much faster and combine the two, or in his words “be nimble enough to dance between the elephant’s legs.” Recognizing the need to share and channel values, visions, plans, and strategies with his team and team leaders, his operating philosophy had been to identify the company and team goals, and then allow the team leaders the freedom to (A) pursue their own strategies, (B) learn from those successes, and (C) rinse and repeat. With the overall company and subsidiaries integrated but sprawled out over three continents, the company has been a remote-based operation long before anyone knew the word COVID-19. Bruce and the executives invested extensive time and energy into building the company processes and infrastructure on technology that could transcend time and distance barriers.
