Editor's Note
The Technologically Driven Winds Of Change! We at Business Connect Magazine, are at a constant endeavor to bring to our readers something that adds significance to their reading experience. And lately, we realized what could be better than Information Technology and the intertwining of Human Resources with it. Have you realized, as much as we forget to credit our Human resources, we are largely dependent on them, I mean, having said that, you or I wouldn’t even be here if your HR didn’t pick you. And the same goes for technology, how’d they reach you? Its technology that brings us all closer and together even while we know we aren’t physically in the same breathing space. Innovation and IT has continually run hand in hand, in the same stream in terms of concepts, but in the present scenario, the hit is major. From analytics, DevOps, Artificial Intelligence, cloud, block-chain and threats, to what’s dominating the market, we have tried to cover it all in this edition (In-case we missed something, we’ll bring it in the next, certainly). Business Connect Magazine knows the pulse of the market and helps lead its readers to the top IT shapeshifters to market daddies, not just in terms of technological innovation but also from where to resource it. We have bought to you information on the implementation of new concepts, challenges, ways to wrestle these challenges, what would suit you the best in building the right team and more. As much as IT has transformed the sector in the past half a century, it has also collaborated and encouraged the Human Resource vertical to generate new jobs given to the boom in demands. All the manual dependency and long ques have gone out of the window, clerical jobs are of a less fuss and more pace, thanks to technology coming into the picture. Brainstorming ideas, and innovations have popped out of entrepreneurs and multiplied in number drastically with this new generation absolutely exploiting the basic tools of the internet to launch absolutely amazing business models. Of course, we carry the guilt of not being able to reach each and every Technology and Resource Company but, we assure you, we will. The selection heavily depends on the information extracted by a respected team dedicated solely to pool out the best success stories. But we welcome anyone and everyone who believes they should be a part of this list or if they know someone who could be, the suggestion would be taken into due consideration and religiously taken forward by our team. We are always up to reflect the absolute diversity and breadth of the IT and Human resource sector of our country and globally as well. The best part about compiling these stories was the amount of knowledge the editorial and else effectively gained through careful research about the enhancements that are taking over the fascinating industry of technology. My due admiration goes to those who are painstakingly trying to bring ease to the lives of people through advancements of this ever exploding tech-savvy era, Kudos! We look forward to a lot more ease and lethargy (Kidding)! YASHASVI KHUSHU Managing Editor yashasvi@businessconnectindia.in

The industry for co-working spaces has accomplished new heights in the past couple of years with touching the base successfully at industry and development driven cities. The metro cities already are breaking records with a maximum number of places to co-work in India, the scenario for other cities is also budding in time with upscale responsive spaces. Being the flag bearers of the co-working spaces, e-commerce and technology companies have invested in the idea heavily, but the growth can be further fueled with unconventional sectors like manufacturing, insurance, banking, etc.
ESCALATION OF TECHNOLOGY
In the present scenario, bigger corporates fancy themselves in the portrayal of a new age work culture that likes to attract young talent with modern amenities at disposal. And if the flexible working scenario is an option available it sounds like an attractive way to start. Co-working spaces in India have seen in excess of more than 300 players hustling for the piece of cake to be ahead in this vertical and become justifiable in a brief timeframe. With increasingly more shared office spaces entering the division, solidification is fast approaching. In the approaching time, a couple of widespread business sections will ascend and manufacture a relationship with the small scale businesses for better economies of scale. A maximum share of spaces have tech organizations, however, they themselves depend on manual procedures. Co-working will only progress towards becoming well informed themselves in the coming times. Booking a seat or a gathering room, producing a receipt, paying

for administrations or upkeep charge, following participation – every operational angle will see a drift of technology. The predictions are set on the executive services being consistent, avoiding human errors or any manner of bias. Deft working environments will likewise offer administrations past what is right now the standard. They will have speculator gatherings for new businesses, give money related direction, and so on.
[ 14 ]
INCREASE IN PRODUCTIVITY AND GROWTH Productivity is going to be another vertical that will escalate and will see major shifts with a number of facilities like yoga classes and crèches incorporating for a more stress-free working environment. Added to the same are initiatives for collaborations to boost the network and help everyone generate a unified working culture. Co-working places long plan to arrange to meet and greet, workshops, seminars, events, etc. and through a diverse range of these programs, they intend to promote collaborations by indoor games, therapies, tournaments, comedy shows, and more. The stream setting swarm of corporates in the same likes are looking to lease collaborating spaces that offer the adaptability of being utilized in various areas. Youngsters today are seeking professional participation that can be utilized on the run. Keeping up with this pattern, a great deal of collaborating brands are intending to open up in more up to date areas and so forth. The plan, solace and by and large look and feel of collaborating spaces is additionally liable to improve. The desired Google and the Facebook vibe will be the new ordinary. Present day insides, in vogue furniture, standing work areas, and widescreen televisions will be joined to snatch a bigger offer of the co-working clan. Recreational rooms will likewise be designed in details in the coming years.
INFUSION OF CLEAN AIR
The ideal working space in our heads could possibly be working on the shoreline or over a mountain. While that may not be viable for everybody, to say the least, co-working spaces will with time fuse more components of nature to make a delightful environment to work in. They will progress in the direction of helping the workforce unwind to improve their level of efficiency. And another main component would be a trusted space with solutions to a cleaner breathing space as well, where the carbon impression would be naturally less. Sunlight based controlled vitality, copper ACs, and so forth will be utilized to make the space increasingly effective and abridge harm to nature. A quick developing vertical of co-working spaces was a totally new concept only a couple of years ago. The business has seen booming development being worked upon year-on-year. These patterns will make collaborating all the more interesting as we see it moving towards unconventional working environments. And providing a platform to India’s business fraternity, EFC Limited has been offering efficiency and productivity with tailor-made customized solutions to suit all corporate needs. They are growing at a fast pace and adding more verticals in their existing portfolio with a clear customer-centric approach. Their vision to create an affordable commercial infrastructure that is an enabling environment for entrepreneurship to flourish is springing on full bloom and their success has always been grounded in their lookout of creating landmarks. Mental Illness HOW A WORLD OF TODAY PERCEIVES IT & WHAT’S THE ACTUAL PICTURE Business Connect Team
In a world of cut throat competition, meeting the deadline, balancing personal and professional life, matching your income with the inflation and a lot more can leave you emotionally very exhausted. Admitting the fact that you have mental illness - commonly called illness of mind can be very difficult task specially when you live in a close knit society. Most of us think that its a rare thing and wont happen to them. Surprisingly its a very common thing in today’s world. According to a survey, 54 million Americans suffer mental illness in a year and it has very high rates in India too. Despite being so common, people are still afraid to talk about them due to shame, lack of education and fear of being outcast and discriminated.
What causes Mental Illness?
Although the exact reason for the same is still a topic of research, it is becoming clear that mental illness is majorly caused by biological, environmental and psychological factors. Some mental illness are caused by abnormal functioning of a nerve cell. It is sometimes passed on in families. So if a member in your family has it, you are more likely to develop the same. Poor nutrition and exposure to toxin may also result in the same. Accidental trauma, death of a loved one, sexual abuse, divorce, bullying, frequent change of schools at an early age are some of the reasons that can leave a person emotionally sick. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA
[ 16 ]
What are some of the common types of Mental Illness?
• Schizophrenia- In this mental illness you can’t differentiate between a real and unreal elements. Your brain makes you think and hear things that aren’t actually there. Your brain also makes you feel that people are always trying to control you. • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder- Sometimes people come across a very tragic incidence. Example: A car accident resulting in a death of a loved one. No doubt its very scary and life changing event. People diagnosed with PTSD keep feeling very afraid and scared years after the accident even if they are safe. • Bi-Polar Disorder- People with Bi-polar disorder have varied emotions all at once. Their emotion changes frequently from happy to sad to being tired and angry within moments. They struggle to sleep and think clearly. • Depression- People with this mental challenge feel low and extremely sad all the time. It can make them sick and can effect the way they feel, think or act. People diagnosed with this, try to alienate themselves from the social circle. Thoughts of suicide and taking extreme steps hovers the mind.
Who can be affected with Mental Health?
Mental illness can be experienced by anyone at any point in life. Its just like any physical illness which anyone of us can suffer from. You may come across people who act weird at times like being aggressive, getting violent, prone to drugs or smoking. That doesn’t necessarily mean they have a mental illness. These are merely personal choices. Mental illness are certainly not personal choices.
How do you behave with a mentally ill person?
What do you do when you have fever. You go to a doctor, isn’t it? Similarly people with a mental illness can go to a mental health professional. You should never say them ‘ stop being crazy’ or ‘therapy is for weak people’. Instead you should always listen them, try to cheer them up and encourage them to seek professional help. Your helpful approach can go a long way in making their life a better one. According to World health organisation more than four hundred million people suffer from various forms of mental illness. It’s not just you. Remember, every cloud has a silver lining. Where ever you are, you can always access assistance and begin to see life in a beautiful way, yet again.
J.P Morgan is his famous quote has very rightly said-
“The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are” Life has lots to offer you. Learn the art of embracing them.

The Indian Mantra for the USMLE Aspirants Yashasvi Khushu | Business Connect
I can affirmatively say
“PERSEVERANCE IS THE KEY”, “PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE”.
Presence of these lines will either guide us build or lack of them might watch us fall.
Srinidhi Naidu [ 19 ]
www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA
S
urprisingly, miles away from living this reality of having her own company, Srinidhi Naidu, Founder and CEO, EduconIndia, started her career setting her foot into interior designing.
“My dad owned a beautiful Interior designing and construction firm. He wanted us to work together lifting the good spirits of the company and so did I. I studied a relevant course and fit my shoes into the interior designing company. I felt happy but not content, I fit in but never felt proud” recollects Srinidhi. This little void made her realize that she wanted to do something on her own, something big but good. After a couple of talks, both revolting and self-analyzing ones, she joined a company as an Educational Consultant only to explore what is set beyond her comfort horizon. As a part of the daily responsibilities, she moved from one university to another comprehending different perspectives and queries of each student. Soon the realization set in of the missing bridge between the real world educational opportunities and the ever-growing queries of the students. Most of the companies had targets of placing students into those universities they were associated with. She felt that it was a wrong practice, had a word about the same, but there were no steps taken to improve or abolish. Srinidhi further adds “I wanted to take it on me, the honest job of building trust and their careers, and there it was the idea of starting EDUCONINDIA. Since the day of this thought, I never looked back”
Offering overseas educational consultancy services to students, EduconIndia is a recognized overseas student consultancy organization and a preferred destination for Student Training and Consultancy Programs targeting Global Professional Entrance Exams including GMAT, USMLE, GRE, IELTS & TOEFL. Right from the beginning of the application process, until the settlement is right around the corner, they ensure handholding. They enhance and transform dreams into reality by framing the curriculum to be their potential success secret. Apart from quick-reflexed updated study material, the time they apply for the counseling of what PG course/domain rightly fits the student, to apply for the entrances, to training the students with internationally acclaimed faculty, to getting the admissions paperwork done, to applying for licenses, to guide through the job search, helps on sailing through the journey. The services with EduconIndia are manifold; the student is given a spectrum of wise benefits including broad study materials, self- assessing examinations, consultancy service, and future residential services. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA
| COINING OF THE IDEA
The answer is simple for Srinidhi, it was her personality and moral instincts, her job was to be a simple educational consultant and to fill in her targets by the end of the day. But she got pretty serious with her role and wanted things to get real before she took an incentive over any other reason. She wanted to offer students what they fit into and that’s just not the target list. Spreading awareness among Indian students about the opportunities beyond the boundaries, opportunities to grow, to build and to rise are ample. And she wanted them to know them all before placing them in a university. “Students dream, dream of a successful career, of a beautiful life and a happy future. Most of them have the ability to make this a reality, but what they lack is guidance and quality training. I wanted to build for them a platform, which serves as their driving force” affirms Srinidhi.
| THE SPEED BREAKERS
There are challenges in every path you take. But when you choose your path, you pick those challenges and you fight to demolish them and not just win over them. The most basic problems were the core two aspects- Being a woman and being the sole manager of the company. The former made her listen to comments like ‘do not travel in the night’; ‘can you do it alone?’; its tough, do you really want to take it up?’ and many others. And the latter put her through a roller coaster of emotions, it’s not easy to single-handedly build and manage, there was a lot of negative marketing made too. But fortunately for Srinidhi, she braved them all and succeeded in building what she started and envisioned. With true passion and a selfless desire, you just know how to walk ahead. She challenged herself, she did it each day, at every step, only to get better. Srinidhi states “I constantly mended ways and molded habits to only build EduconIndia better with every passing day. When you watch the globe, you find growth and advancement at every nook and corner. It’s a crossword you need to keep answering and implementing to watch yourself and everything around you grow stronger and wiser.”
| THE TEAM
The workflow is pre-planned and executed, to add, it is well managed. Speaking of another important team which has added value to EduconIndia is VHonk. At the right hour, they happened to meet this young and brilliant team of digital marketers, VHonk Digital Media and Marketing. It was right from the moment of explaining them the prominence these sessions had, they were up on their toes, strategizing the core, enquired all the details to market the event and succeeded in making the big news reach the correct audience. Srinidhi goes all praises to the founder of VHonk, Mr. Binesh Gaddam for executing all the plans. From what
[ 20 ]
she has experienced and understood, she strongly believes that they are the masters in Search, Social Media and Content Marketing.
| MAKING A DIFFERENCE
EduconIndia stands unmatched among the numerous overseas consultancies. They have succeeded in setting standards of excellent coaching and magnificent guidance. In short, they can describe it to be a broadly growing professional organization that offers Overseas Educational consultancy services to its students who are passionate about studying abroad. EduconIndia has a peculiar reputation for its Student Training and Consultancy Program methods targeting Global Professional Entrance Examinations including GMAT, USMLE, GRE, IELTS, and TOEFL. From getting hands on the initial application process to the student’s settlement, EduconIndia provides the best ever reliable features. It has a unique curriculum including exclusively hosting Kaplan, they bring down faculty from the US in benefit of the students, customize the study material and the learning process best fit to serve a sure exam-qualifying shot. They offer live lectures facility, a truly beneficial add-on, the question banks- a must and should to the aspirants which also serves as a must have quick lookto book. Also, self- assessing examinations, consultancy services, and residential facility services are provided to the students. “We understand dreams better and hence walk with our students to fulfill them” adds Srinidhi.
| CATCHING UP TO THE TECHNOLOGY AND TRENDS
Technology is a wide spectrum of never-ending awe. Speaking of which, hosting Kaplan Medical’s globally acclaimed USMLE Step 1 classroom lectures for the very first time in India, endorsing Kaplan’s global brand recognition was not an easy decision. It had Srinidhi feeling both proud and anxious to have made an agreement with Kaplan and to bring down their elite faculty all the way to India to train the students. The anxious feeling had set in because Srinidhi had to market it in a very short span and spread the news wide and across so that maximum aspirants benefit from it. Although EduconIndia has its own reach and following across South India’s Medical student fraternity, this was something new, big and unheard of for the rest. Alsoher young and brilliant team of digital marketers, VHonk Digital Media and Marketing, kept the pace moving for her, in terms of reaching out digitally to every possible aspiring student. She firmly endorses the fact that there are traits one has to imbibe, to develop the attitude to attain success that solely doesn’t come from the preparatory books. This reflection of thoughts is the key implementation at EduconIndia. The environment of learning is filled with positivity, support and bliss, which helps the students bloom in confidence and coaching. They build

the reader, a family; an upgrade in the financial stability and a shift in lifestyle. With time, the concept of education is rightly reaching minds. The very few parts stuck to the wrong conception are changing and the hope is that there won’t be any in the future.
| RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
The educational sector in India, always has abundant student talent who are extremely passionate and highly ambitious andSrinidhi believes, this aspect has the potentialto turn pages through to the new Indian student era. There are companies and consultancies that creep into the educational sector to only make benefits, but not add much to the students. You cannot have targets to match or numbers to count in the form of admissions or any other, over students interests.
Research and Development will have its horizons spreading wider always, there’s always scope and this applies universally to all the verticals. In a short phase, Srinidhi is striving hard to make EduconIndia a brand for all the right reasons, turning it into a foundation, a platform and the best overseas consulting. The firm will continue to identify the super ambitious and continue to shape their lives. Many more miles to go, many more milestones to hit!
When a student approaches with queries, it’s an amalgamation of their dream, passion, and maybe their family’s too. It is important to restrict education to growth and quality of life, it could support anyone within the mere future.
| COMPETITION, A HEALTH ONE
Honesty, quality and consistency are the three keywords I’ve followed and will continue to do so. Also, the learning environment is free and thought-providing. Students have the freedom to put forth their point and ask for more, anything they feel could lift their grades apart from all the methods we provide; I will consider all the options to make it happen
| EDUCATION, STILL A LUXURY “Education is a right for all the rightful reasons, now this has to do with mindsets or a group of individuals. There is a change happening. Competition is a very healthy term. But one has to understand what to compete with. Competing with you is always the best to start with. There’s always an up-climb in the graph this way. A healthy competition that spreads around the desire to grow to get better is the right kind of competition. It keeps you active, vigilant, on your toes and makes you want to do better with your grades holding a broader positive perspective. One should always feel the need to outgrow only to mark betterment. With time, the advancement has been rapid with the government playing a critical role, especially in the educational sector. However being in this field, I personally have viewed a gap between the clinical seats/positions being provided and the students applying to bag them. Upon the ratio being extremely compact already, there is another aspect ‘reservation’ that influences the remaining seats. Having mentioned this point, I am at least happy that a number of students fly abroad, pursue optimal training and practice down here in India. So I’d hope for uplift in the balancing ratio between the clinical positions available and the students aspiring.

How to Become a Highly
Successful Leader Business Connect Team
I
n today’s modern cut-throat competition world, every person in business domain whether he/she is a Start-up business owner, CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of an MNC (Multi-National Companies), MD (Managing Director) in the corporate world, GM (General Manager) of a company, or an Editor of a magazine, everyone wants to be a leader. There are two distinct personalities “Manager” and “Leader”. A leader is the one who nurtures life skills like Effective Communication, Time Management, Stress Management, and Relationship Management which helpsdevelop holistically. An effective leader is a great listener. He/she must possess good character traits like Honesty, Competence, Candour (Impartial), Commitment, Integrity, Courage, Straightforwardness, and above all Imagination. Before we get ahead, Let us try to understand leadership definition and the leadership skills owned by true leaders.
www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA
What is Leadership? Who are the leaders in society? According to the conventional definitions, Leadership is an interpersonal influence directed toward the achievement of a goal or goals. In the present context, leadership is defined as “a dynamic relationship”established on shared influence and common purpose betwixt leaders and collaborators in which both are advanced to higher levels of inspiration and moral development as they affect factual, intended change. When we look for the leaders in today’s dynamic world we look out for Narendra Damodar Modi (Indian Prime Minister), Donald Trump (US President), Vladimir Putin (Russian President), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Indian Cricketer), Azim Prem Ji (Chairman of Wipro Limited), Mukesh Ambani (MD and Chairman of Reliance Industries), Tim Cook (CEO of Apple), Mary Barra (CEO of General Motors Company) are to name a few. So what is that make them different from others?
[ 24 ]
Mahendra Singh Dhoni (or ‘Mahi’), One of the best captains in Indian Cricket history, is the man who stood out from the rest with his potential, leadership, and consistency. The distinct leadership’s qualities in him are his ability to remain cool, his act of staying grounded, always leading from the front, encouraging others to perform and sharing the credits among players. Leadership versus Management In conceptualizing leadership, it is very important to understand how it differs from management. In any organization, both management and leadership co-exist. It is of prime importance to understand their relationship and their distinctiveness. • Management is the process of setting and achieving the goals of the institution through the functions planning, organizing, directing (or leading), and controlling. It deals more with carrying out the organization’s goals and maintaining equilibrium. •
In contrast, leadershipis concerned with the interpersonal aspects of the head of the company, whereas designing, organizing, and managing deal with the administrative aspects. Leadership deals with development, inspiration, motivation, and influence.
allows your colleagues to be part of the team and allows you to make a better decision. This style leads to the most productive teams and decisions. Example: Ratan Tata (TATA group) Laissez-faire (‘delegative or free reign’)-Based on trust In this style, the leaderpermits the employees to make the decisions. However, he/she is still responsible for the decisions that are made. This is used when employees are able to examine the situation and decides what needs to be done and how to do it. Example: Mahatma Gandhi Have you ever noticed how you approach people, clients, customers, your colleagues? The differences in the way people approach others indicate whether the leader is a “positive leader” or a “negativeone”. Inculcating the Leadership qualities, understanding human nature, and exercising the different Leadership styleswill help in better communication, coordination, supervision, and implementation of business plans and ultimately will shape You (Young Entrepreneurs)to be among the Top leaders of tomorrow’s business world.
The key point in differentiating between leadership and management is the idea that employees or staffs of the unit willingly follow leaders because they want to, not because they have to. Leaders may not acquire the formal power to recognize the achievement or give a reward. However, subordinates give the leader power by complying with what he or she requests. Leadership is thus a very significant psychological institution.
“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life-think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.”
Swami Vivekananda
Styles of Leadership Leadership style is the individual’s behaviour and approach of providing direction, putting into action plans, and motivating people. There are three different styles of leadership • • •
Authoritarian (Autocratic), Participative (Democratic) and Laissez-faire (Delegative or free reign)
Authoritarian (Autocratic) This leader tells his/ her subordinates what he/she wants to be done and how he/she wants it done, without getting the advice from them. In this case, it is difficult for subordinates to contribute or develop. Some of the appropriate conditions to use this style are, when you have all the information to solve the problem, you are short on time, and your team members are well motivated. Example: Adolf Hitler & Benito Mussolini Participative (Democratic) This leader includes one or more team members in the decision-making process in determining what to do and how to do it. However, the leader maintains the final decision-making authority. This is normally used when you have some of the information, and your employees have some of it. This

Early Rising is Exceptional Having Adequate Sleep is
Better
Business Connect Team
“Scholars and thinkers wake up early in the morning and contemplate. Also, those who desire wealth wake up early and get to work”.
Rigveda (About 1000 B.C.)
Due to the fact that there’s no universal rule for “Ideal sleeping habit” to follow, generally, people follow the habits of successful people or Entrepreneurs. Successful Entrepreneurs never underestimate the significance of sound sleep. They wish to be focused, emotionally balanced, and quick-witted in all areas of their business. In this article, I have tried to explore about sleep, its importance for an Entrepreneur and have suggested a few important tips for having a sound solid deep sleep which is very important for staying calm and focus at their work.
Should sleeping hours be deducted for being productive?
Like all people in the world, Entrepreneurs do have to take care of things besides their routine work. So balancing both their official obligations and their business, project, etc. make them a very busy personality. This pattern is found common in Entrepreneur or any professional in today’s fast-moving world where the sleeping habits and patterns of quantity and quality are affected by a variety of cultural, behavioral, social, pathophysiological, psychological, and environmental influences. According to a new study, those who are early birds (early sleepers and risers) are less prone to develop stress, heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, Obesity, and stroke. Early birds are biologically programmed, Stable Circadian rhythms controlled by body’s biological clocks, to be less susceptible to depression and schizophrenia and might just be happier than night owls (late sleepers and late risers). Our ancestors used to follow a fixed pattern to have quality sleep and probably this was the key for their healthy physical and mental well-being. An inspirational quote of Benjamin Franklin, (1706-1790), one of the famous figures of American History quotes about the value of early rising and health
“Early to Bed and Early to Rise Makes a man Healthy, Wealthy and wise”. Sun is the ultimate source of energy. Recent studies have pointed out that the exposure to sunlight or bright indoor lights during the morning hour’s helps in having sleep better at night. The later you wake-up after sunrise the slothful and lethargic you will be. The closer you wake up to sunrise, preferably before sunrise it will make you active and zestful. It can be observed in the dynamism of animals, birds, and most of the elders in the family as they all wake up either at the stroke of sunrise or earlier than that.
What is Sleep?
Sleep is a complex and dynamic process which is the major part of our daily routine. We spend about one-third of the day in sleep. Quality sleep and getting a sufficient amount of it at the right times is as essential to survival as food www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA

and water. Without sleep, the pathways in our brain are not formed or maintained which allow us to learn and create new memories, and it’s tougher to concentrate and respond swiftly. Sleep is of paramount importance to a number of brain functions, like how nerve cells (neurons) communicate with each other. In fact, our brain and body remain substantially active while we sleep properly. Recent findings suggest that sleep plays a housekeeping role that eliminates toxins in our brain that is build up while we are awake. Everybody requires sleep, but its biological purpose remains a mystery. Sleep affects altogether every type of human body tissue and system right from the brain, heart, stomach, and lungs to the central nervous system, immune system, respiratory system, digestive system, cardiovascular system, and Endocrine system.
Is Sleep beneficial?
Infants generally require about 16-18 hours a day, while teenagers (13-18 years old) require about 9 hours on average. For most adults(above 18 years old), 7 to 8 hours a night appears to be the substantial amount of sleep, although some people may require as few as 5 hours or as long as 10 hours of sleep each day. For example, • The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, a brilliant statesman has gained the ability to have a sound deep sleep but only for 3.5 hours. • The Ex-Vice President of Apple’s Retail Angela Ahrendts is an early bird and wakes up before the sun rises. Her sleeping hours never used to exceed more than 6 hours a night.
• The 45th President of United States, Donald Trump, a Republican sleeps for 4-5 hours a night only. • Tips for Getting a Good Night’s Sleep • Getting sufficient sleep is good for health. Here, I am going to discuss a few tips to improve your sleep • It’s very important to Set a schedule and go to bed and wake up at the same time each day. • Before going to bed nearly a few hours before, Exercise about 20 to 30 minutes a day. • Before going to bed or late in the day try to avoid caffeine or nicotine and alcoholic drinks • Try a warm bath, reading, or another relaxing routine before going to bed. • Avoid bright lights and loud sounds, keep the room at a comfortable temperature and don’t watch Television or have a computer in your bedroom to create a room for sound sleep. • If you are unable to go for sleep, do something else, like reading or listening to music, until you feel tired. Avoid lying in bed awake. • Visit a clinician for any problem in sleeping or for unusual tiredness feeling during the day. Most sleep disorders are effectively curable.
Conclusion
Sound sleep is one of the pillars of our health system along with good nutrition and regular physical exercise. Relaxation techniques like Meditation, yoga, and music have all proved effective for stress and sleep disorders. Successful entrepreneurs make it a priority to get sufficient sleep every night for self-control and being focused at their work.

Apart from the above they also have a few products in the market namely KNOiT, a chat-based

Over the past 7 years, Appiness has worked with around a hundred clients and they cover the whole spectrum of possibilities. Associated with idea-stage start-ups to global giants with a seemingly permanent position in the Fortune 100 list, their clients are building products so futuristic that they do not have competitors yet, and a few others are in traditional businesses. Right from agriculture to healthcare, from the government to banking, information technology has changed the way we live and will continue to change our lives in the future. Gone are the days when starting your own venture seemed like a pipe dream for most. There’s no better time to be an entrepreneur than now. In a conversation with the leaders of the company, Visakh Viswambharan, Sunil P Thomas, and Rigin Velayudhan, Business Connect Magazine gets an insight of the company, Business Connect: How do you feel you are different from your competitors? Visakh: Firstly, I don’t see anyone as our competitor. I see them as my travel buddies in this beautiful, yet challenging journey of entrepreneurship. You need them, otherwise, the journey will become excruciatingly boring. And the market is so huge right now, there is no point in competing. I’d rather talk and learn from everyone. Business Connect: Did you see any transformation happening for start-ups, over the years? Sunil: The landscape for start-ups has undergone a tectonic shift since we started up. When we started, hiring a good team was next to impossible, as most people preferred big, established firms over fast-moving, riskier proposition offered by start-ups. Now we are seeing a clear preference from potential team members for stability and growth over a meteoric rise. Business Connect: Did everything come easy, or you have your story of struggle? Visakh: Until my undergrad, I was an average student academically; when I did my post grad, my focus shifted from www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA

scoring marks or passing to LEARNING something new and I really opted to learn; that was a shift and I turned out to be one of the university toppers. I started learning 2D key frame animation as I was very passionate about design and always wanted to do something creative. I used to learn animation in the morning and work at the dance school in the evening. As my first animation project, I created a performance in which I mixed animated characters with live dancers on the stage. The show went really well. So well, in fact, that it got covered by The Hindu newspaper. That was my first project ever. This routine would start all over again at 10 am the next day. I never complained, though, because I enjoyed doing that. Which is what continued in the early days of my career. And when I started on my own, I used to be the first one to leave and the last one to reach my apartment. This is one of the greatest reasons as to why I am here today, sheer hard work. Sorry, there is no other magical recipe; I didn’t find one. Business Connect: How do you ensure unbreakable faith of clients in your company? Rigin: The most important aspect is to build a relationship with the client. As with any relationship, trust has to be built and this is done in three ways: one, by connecting with the client and their goals both personal and professional; two, by responding promptly to the client and their needs; three, by delivering on or before deadlines with outstanding work. Business Connect: How do you keep pace with the changing market trends? Visakh: Change is something we cannot stop, especially in the space we are in. It’s so fast that every time you open a new tab, you come across something new. In the future, the most mundane tasks are going to be replaced by robots. You need to keep innovating, for which you need to build your firm on strong culture, where people are ready to unlearn, learn and adapt.
Business Connect: Who is your role model? Visakh: My dad. He is a self-made man. His conviction and dedication amaze me every time I think about the unconditional things he has done for us and the family, with the limited resources he had. His energy and drive make me think that we have done nothing compared to him. Business Connect: How are you giving back to society? Visakh: We engage ourselves in many ways to give back to the society, the major focus is providing education for the unprivileged. I strongly believe that by helping someone in education we are not helping just one person but rather a family and the generations to come. Business Connect: Apart from work, what else do you like to spend your time doing? Rigin: My favourite thing to do is hanging out with my family, friends, and my dog which is truly what gives meaning and joy to my life. Apart from that, I love movies, cooking, learning about agriculture, and taking long drives. And this year I started focusing a lot more on health and start running regularly. We insist our team also to engage in some sort of physical activity on a daily basis to keep themselves fit. I believe fitness is the key to productivity. Appiness has strived for excellence and has pushed themselves to achieve tremendous growth. With over 35 International design awards and 50+ Nominations, they have been listed among the 20 best mobile app companies in India and many more milestones and achievements are waiting. If there is one thing that is certain about the future, it is the uncertainty and the changes that would accompany that. But Appiness is out with a clear focus towards growth and innovation, to stay relevant in this ever changing scenario. Looking forward to working on advanced technologies and innovations, they are on a very quick growth trajectory and hope to double the headcount in the next year.
Business Connect: Do you believe R&D is essential for the growth of the company? Sunil: If there is anything we have learned from our journey and our clients from different domains and industries, it is that innovation is a must for anyone to survive, let alone growth. In that sense, it is absolutely certain that R&D is the most essential part of our roadmap. Business Connect: How necessary do you feel is it to keep your employees content, how do you ensure it? Visakh: We are an employee friendly firm, and would continue to be the same. We are a family and we will remain one. It doesn’t matter whether we are 100 or 10000. And if you ask me ‘HOW?’, it’s simple, just empathize. We do a lot of things around here, to keep them happy because a happy soul is far better than 10 skilled but unhappy souls.

Ornamental Fish
The trade of Ornamental fish started in India in the year 1969. World Ornamental Fish market crossed 420 crores in 2017 and is projected to grow with a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of more than 7.85%, in value terms, during 2019-2024, to reach over 620 crores by 2024. The term Ornamental fish is generally used as a comprehensive term to relate aquatic animals kept in the aquarium, which includes fishes (danio, guppy, swordtails), invertebrates (e.g., hermit crabs, rock lobsters, shrimps), molluscs (e.g., Oysters, snails, scallops), and also live rock or live sand. Ornamental fish are certainly nature’s incredible advent. A neatly maintained aquarium containing ornamental fish adds aesthetic appearance to well-furnished drawing rooms at homes, in hotel lobbies, restaurants, and other public places. India has great potentials in the production of Ornamental fish due to the presence of rich biodiversity of species in the Western Ghats and North East India, favorable climatic conditions, and availability of economical labor. Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal are the major states involved in the practice of ornamental fish farming. The recent story of a farmer Yatindra Kashyap hailing from Motihari, Bihar is a perfect example who took funding from State government build ponds and gradually within a span of 5 years succeeded in making a good profit. In the ornamental species trade, two types of fishes are available i.e. indigenous (Local) and exotic (Foreigner). The ease of availability of an enormous number of native species has largely contributed to the development of the ornamental fish industry. The indigenous species are mainly present in North-eastern states, West Bengal, Bihar, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. According to the data available, to meet the export demand of the country the collection and rearing of around 90% of native species are done of which 85% belong to Northeast. Presently, nearly about 210 native species are exported to foreign countries. There is also a great demand for exotic species due to its color, shape, and appearance. There are above 300 exotic species that are involved in the ornamental fish trade, and demand for them keeps rising.
What things are needed for Starting an Ornamental Fish business?
•Aquarium or fish tank or concrete tanks or glass tanks-For rearing of Fish •Pumps-Centrifugal and Turbine-For filling freshwater from a freshwater source •Biofilter-Allows microorganism to grow which helps in the breakdown of wastes •Aeration Devices-For adequate supply of Oxygen •Seine Net or Net Reels - For catching fish •Holding and Grading Equipment-Belts, tank trucks •Water testing equipment- Pocket testers to analytical instrumentation for measuring pH, Conductivity, and other water quality characteristics.
What are the advantages of ornamental fish rearing as a business? • It gives amusement to youngsters • It enables relaxation of the mind and hence contributes to a healthy society • It allows youngsters to get acquainted with nature and use their time adequately • It creates an employment opportunity • It can help in generating foreign exchange
Conclusion
Opening up a business of ornamental fish is perfect for the entrepreneur looking to support their passion for keeping beautiful and healthy exotic and common fish and bringing themselves near to Nature. Proper training of rearing Ornamental fish and knowledge of disease management is an important aspect to be gained to boost the Start-up business plan that would improve the overseas and domestic trade of the varieties.

Leading Recruitment Firm Offering Integrated Solutions for Entire HR Practices
SACHIIN S JOG
Founder & CEO Bluecrest HR Consulting Pvt. Ltd
“As Steve Jobs very rightly said, the only way to do great work is to love what you do if you haven’t found it yet keep looking. Don’t settle”. Sachiin S Jog
Yashasvi Khushu | Business Connect The Indian staffing industry poses the potential to become one of the world’s largest, with the government supporting the market with ratifying the labor laws and regulations in concern of the same. With so much potential oozing from everywhere in the country, Sachiin S Jog, Founder & CEO, Bluecrest HR Consulting Pvt. Ltd is providing one stop solution for HR functions such as Executive Search, Staffing solutions, and Payroll management.
With its registered office based in Mumbai, they specialize in recruiting for the Entry Level, Junior Level, Middle Management, and Senior Management levels across various verticals like BFSI, Energy and Power, Pharmaceutical, Textiles, Hospitality, Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Real Estate and Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Automobile & Ancillaries, Retail, FMCG, and Media. They don’t work as a vendors with their clients but more as a “Partner”. The focus is channeled the people, all the www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA
employees are trained every six months on different programs like “Hiring through Social Media” or “Telephonic interviewing”. At Bluecrest, a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) model is put in use when the clients want huge numbers in a shorter span. Backward planning for clients is processed, once they comprehend what target the client has in mind, their team starts planning that in order to fulfill the requirement of the number of candidates are needed to source, screen and shortlist. They meet the clients regularly to understand their “pain points” and come up with solutions and also are an ERA member since inception and believe in ethical and transparent recruitment practices only. Business Connect: Did everything come easy, or you have your story of struggle? Sachiin: I quit my job with DHL Express in January 2004
[ 54 ]
as the Head-Direct Business Unit and went back to DHL in March for a sign-up. Now I was on the other side of the table as a “Vendor Partner” and had a greater responsibility to prove myself again. I could not fail now as I had chosen this one-way street to start my own company and make it a success story. This was the start of the struggle as we needed quality employees of our own, clients who would give us mandates and also pay us on time. For the first 8 months, I was doing Sales, Recruitment, Operations, Collections, Finances, and Administration too. I used to sit in the car park of a potential client, call him and tell him that I had just finished a meeting in the vicinity and would he be free for a meeting. Some met me, others were busy but then I did not give up. Any Entrepreneur has to learn on his own as there are no academic courses to churn out one. At times there are hits and other times misses too but the journey has to be carried forward. Business Connect: What kind of clients do you serve any special mentions? Sachiin: DHL Express was our very first client and we built a good pool of talent on our payrolls from which DHL could cherry pick the best performing employees. We have done an RPO for a large multinational in background screening services where we hired 300 candidates to be put on our payrolls for a period of 3 months. We partnered a large insurance company on a pan India basis for staffing and sourcing 1500 employees. We partnered Infomedia India before it became a part of the Network 18 group. We used to have monthly meetings with the entire HR team to understand obstacles to hiring and ways to overcome them. We used to meet line managers to solve issues and even handheld all over recruits after they joined the company for a period of 3 months. The bonding and the rapport building with the HR team were so good that post these monthly meetings we used to explore all new eating joints in the vicinity. We were the only consultant who saw a popular Hindi film with the Head HR and his team at a local cinema. Business Connect: How do you ensure unbreakable faith of clients in your company? Sachiin: We keep them updated on all new developments E.g. regards to compliances etc. We honestly tell them as to what is possible and what is not, no false hopes or promises. We respect our clients and are always professional with them. We give them a quality talent or “benchmark candidates” who will add value to them. The feedback that our candidate is doing well in the company bring a smile on the face of our consultant Business Connect: How do you keep pace with the changing market trends? Sachiin: We conduct regular training programs for our team E.g. Social Media hiring, we invest in technology like an Applicant Tracking System and appoint a Social Media agency to create more awareness of what we are
doing amongst the client & the candidate community. Business Connect: In terms of your market, what do you feel the future holds for entrepreneurs? Sachiin: We require people to enter our industry with a vision and having long term goals. Sadly, there are many Mom & Pop shops operating from their respective residence who are there for a short term and spoil the market by cutting rates. Clients require value-added services and not cheaper rates Business Connect: Who is your role model in the business/entrepreneurial world and what have you learned from the person? Sachiin: My role model is Dhirubhai Ambani for the mammoth conglomerate he built from scratch. Some learnings were to roll up your sleeves and work no matter whether the job or client is small or big, dream big but dream with your eyes wide open, and change your orbit, constantly. Business Connect: How are you giving back to society (CSR, if any)? Sachiin: I am the Honorary HR Director of Triumph Blood Bank since the last 5 years and all support like hiring or payroll management is free of cost. I am a Volunteer for the last 8 years with Kotak Education Foundation and have worked in 3 interventions of theirs. We have started “The Bluecrest Foundation” to support bright students coming from the weaker sections of the society. Business Connect: Apart from work, what else do you like to spend your time doing? Sachiin: I have finished 4 half marathons, been on the Mount Kailash parikrama in Tibet, do a bungee jump. On my bucket list - I still want to make a second trip to Mount Kailash, do the Everest Base Camp trek and do a pilgrimage walk of 290 km in 9 days. Business Connect: What are the achievements and milestones of the company? Sachiin: I think that the biggest achievement or milestone for the company was to survive the economic downturn of 2009-11 and have clients and employees who have worked with us for more than 8 years. Without them, I would not be sitting down to pen this article for you. From one branch in Pune, Bluecrest HR Consulting Pvt. Ltd is now looking forward to spread their branches in Bangalore and New Delhi in this coming year as well and head to a higher path to sucess.
“I believe that the journey has just begun and I walked a few steps. I still have to cover a long distance. For me, each day is a new day where am going to learn new things and explore new opportunities to make the journey of our candidates a magical one.” Sachiin S Jog

Health Benefits of Playing Soccer
Business Connect Team
“Be strong, my young friends that is my advice to you. You will be nearer to heaven through Football than through the study of the Gita, You will understand Gita better with your biceps, your muscles, a little stronger”
SWAMI VIVEKANANDA
Sports are valuable to physical health which contribute to economic growth and employment in the country. It builds character, teaches and develops strategic & analytical thinking, leadership skills, goal setting and risk taking qualities in an individual, reducing healthcare costs owing to a healthier population, reduction in crime, and job creation. According to the recent research reports, engagement in sports or regular physical activity can positively affect psychologically and emotional wellness, which is directly linked to the immune health of an individual. Soccer (or Football) resembles Start-ups or small and medium-sized business enterprises. CEOs of the company play the role of team captain in a business organization. In Start-ups, although the major decisions are taken by the CEOs as the business grows the chain of command shifts to the mid-management employees to make the system more efficient. Soccer is distinguished by specific positions like forwards, midfielder, striker, goal-keepers etc. where despite less communication, players adjust themselves and maintain proper distances among them during the various stages of the game, resulting in smart passing and moving off the ball forward. Start-ups or Small and medium-sized enterprises, with a limitation to a number of products or services, canvas specific roles to their employees having the ability to focus on their goals. Soccer was the most favorite game of Swami Vivekananda because he found in it both physical exercise and an element of adventure, thrill and suspense were there that inculcates team spirit and coordination among players preaching them the right learnings for teamwork. Among different sports, it is only the Soccer where “Win” is possible only when teamwork and coordination are there. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA

CEO, Live Jobs Global ne of the biggest impacts that the transforming dynamics of the company ecosystem has seen is on the augmented demands of recruits.
the brainchild of Sajjan Karna, CEO, Live Jobs Global, that fulfills manpower requirements for global clients based in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Canada, Singapore, South Africa, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Malaysia, and London.
In the race to stay ahead of the curve, there have been rapid innovations in technology and market conditions have evolved massively in terms of charting the demands of adding talented professionals to the network. These rifts mean that the role of staffing firms is affirmatively large in the present scenario.
Sajjan Karna, in a conversation with Business Connect Magazine, enlightens our readers about his Certified Recruitment Company, his dedicated recruitment team that’s competent to fulfill both permanent and contractual job requirements in a defined time frame,
Largely this is only one of the few prudent reasons why the manpower providers have become an inevitable part of meeting the right talent. There are other reasons like job creation to absorb the growing working population as well that the government is paying interest on, eventually to help a larger number of companies to share the burden of recruitments and manpower service companies facilitate this process at large. Likewise, equipped with a swarm of a corroborated database of job hunters, Live Jobs global is a leading Manpower oversees recruitment consultant from India and www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA

Mr. Karna: Nothing comes easy in life, you have to work hard to gain whatever you strive for. Moreover, I was not among the ones born with a silver spoon. I did my schooling from a Govt. school in Pupri, Sitamarhi, Bihar then moved to Delhi for Senior Secondary education. It was an abrupt change in thought, lifestyle, and language, things were in favor and I finished my M.B.A, but unfortunately, it was the time of recession. Due to which I couldn’t find a suitable job, I moved to Mumbai, gave various interviews, resided with relatives due to lack of finances and somehow managed to sustain my living. As they say ‘try and try again until you succeed’, I tried and bagged a decent job in the world’s largest Aluminum company, learned strategies and business plans. This encouraged me to start something of my own and I started Live Jobs Global a year ago, and rest is history. Business Connect: What kind of clients do you serve? Mr. Karna: We serve client spread throughout the globe, most of which are in the Gulf, UAE, and Europe. Following and upholding the highest standard of professionalism and business ethics no matter what comes in our way of success. Business Connect: How do you keep pace with the changing market trends? Mr. Karna: As per the business forecast especially 2019 and 2020 recruitment strategy will change gradually, companies are focused to hire local nationals as per the government regulation and meet the MOL regulation and under the government body, we are moving and making own database for the local national active job seeker through our website. Western candidates are preferable for top 10 companies who seek qualified candidates with an international passport. Business Connect: Do you still come back to work with the same zeal, like you did when you started? Mr. Karna: Every morning there are a number of challenges to overcome and I have to deliver productive work at all times, for which the plan comes under a managed budget and results come-post the equal level of indulgence and zeal. Business Connect: In terms of your market, what do you feel the future holds for entrepreneurs? Mr. Karna: There is supreme importance of time, which
further adds to amplify the focus and accuracy to identify the right client. If you are selling a unique concept with appropriate services, it will sell. You also should know your rivals well and always have set plans to compete healthily. Business Connect: What do you ensure the most while setting up the recruitment process? Mr. Karna: When we take an interview for recruitment, we make sure to extract the right talent out of the interviewee and put them into the right place matching the experience and position. Business Connect: Apart from work, what else do you like to spend your time doing? Mr. Karna: I like to invest my time in reading and understanding about the market and the constant transformations, concepts, future potential etc. that happens in connection to my industry, like I have been going through a lot about the government inputs and the new plan accelerated in the year 2018 and that would be of a great help to my industry. Business Connect: What does the future hold for the company? Mr. Karna: Our vision is to become the leading International service provider of Human Resource Competencies. Business Connect: What is your profit ratio cut on promotional expenses? Mr. Karna: For any business, marketing is the first key factor to run the company. We make sure that 10 % revenue in each month is spent on all the possible ways of marketing. If we are looking to be in the market, there is a high need to have influential visibility for our potential and current clients to see us on various social pages and website.
A number of studies have taken place over time and proven that this industry is entitled to grow at the rate of more than 10% in the following years. And with the swiftly changing market trends, a number of business houses will have to boil down to the services of manpower service providers to pro-actively find the suitable candidate.

Conflicts at Workplace
BCM Review Common workplace conflicts which employees face and how to deal this effectively. Business Connect Team
Workplace and conflict always go hand in hand. Fail to complete a deadline and there is a conflict. Disagree with a team member and conflict is likely. A lot of us spend major chunk of our life at work. People from diverse field come together and it is almost impossible to have an environment where things workout perfectly for everyone. Thus it becomes all the more important that we learn the art of conflict resolution. There are multiple reasons for conflicts to arise and many ways to resolve the same.
Personality Clashes
Once a great philosopher Socrates invited his friends to his home. They all gathered at his place and were having a gala time remembering the yesteryear’s incidences. Socrates requested his wife to serve them drinks. At all www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA
[ 62 ]
these disturbances, his wife angrily walked in the room with two bottles of bear and kept them down on the table with a bang. All were stunned. The room completely went silent. Responding to the situation Socrates said - until today I had seen the clouds thundering, today I saw them raining too. Everyone erupted in laughter again and so did his wife. So when faced with a terrible boss shouting at you in a meeting the first solution I would say is to try bringing things on a softer note by diverting the heated ongoing conversation. If you find yourself in a similar situation an easy mantra to deal with this effectively is to praise your opponent with his recent achievements. It will for sure bring smile on the face of everyone in the room. This is a proven tactic and has worked wonders for many.
Ego Conflict
The other kind of common conflict is the one which arises from ego. You will always find people in your office who think that their work is more important. If you try to prove them wrong, you are calling for disturbed day. To deal with these kinds, all you need to do is be polite and respectful at all times and just focus on your work. If your colleague continues to behave similarly by chattering about his work, be cordial, listen him and say politely after a while, ‘I am sure you are doing a great job. Lets get back to work and we can always continue this during the break time. Your mature behaviour will make your colleague feel important and you will be able to concentrate on your work more effectively.
Work style differences
There are people who like to work in a team and then there are others who perform better when they work alone. Should you as a team leader be offended if you find someone not as big a contributor as others in a team? Of course not. The leader in order to lead better has to understand that people have different style of working. The better you know your team, the easier it is for you to resolve the conflict as and when they arise. However you can later talk to the person why it is important to work in a team. With regular support you will see him grow. Inter-relation conflict Imagine you work for magazine as a researcher. If you delay in researching, it delays the work of the writer and then the editor followed by the designer and so on. This is where a blame game starts

Dr. Sanjay Salunkhe
Yashasvi Khushu | Business Connect Regardless of what a business house is dealing with, from manufacturing to services, the backbone, the most essential part of the process is to bring together a team that successfully handles the complete process. Hiring the best talent for the job role not just ensures optimum results but also helps in remaining competitive and in the front row of the market. Dr. Sanjay Salunkhe, Founder and group CEO, Net Employment Services Pvt. Ltd. (Net HR) is making this possible with 19 years of experience in specialized executive hiring. Net HR is a leading Technology recruitment consultant, based out of Mumbai with operations pan India via multiple offices in India. In a conversation with Business Connect Magazine, Dr. Salunkhe talks about being the preferred partner in technology hiring space, adapting the latest technologies, large database management, internal team management, and external communications and more. Business Connect: Did you face any obstacle during the initial days? How did you sail through them? Dr. Salunkhe: I went through big losses in 2001-2002 due to all eggs in one basket (IT recruitment) and had to mortgage the house to pay staff salaries, but within 1 year through hard work and cooperation of employees we were able to turn around the company. And in 2006 I sold major (54% stake) to a Japanese staffing company. Our company was valued at 4 million US dollars then. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA
[ 64 ]
Dr. Sanjay Salunkhe Founder and group CEO
Business Connect: What was your learning during struggling days so that our readers could prepare themselves for upcoming challenges? Dr. Salunkhe: Never put all eggs in one basket (only one industry recruitment) because if that industry suffers due to recession or any other reason you are affected a lot. Trust yourself and your judgment and carry the team with you. Your trust is their trust and your people are your biggest asset. I learned that the staff will go through hardship and struggle with the boss if they believe in the boss, his vision and his struggle and know that there is honesty and integrity in the individual. When the turnaround happened I shared the rewards with them too.
Dr. Salunkhe: With a close eye on the new trends in the market, we always mold and update ourselves in a timely fashion. We have an edge on understanding in terms of quality benchmark, ideal to practical turnaround time and right fitment.
Business Connect: How difficult is it to remain relevant in this competitive world? How do you keep yourself motivated during tough times? Dr. Salunkhe: As I have gone through major problems earlier, now no issues scare us. To be relevant one has to be aware of the market, emerging forces as well as political trends because shifts in trends in one country can affect the recruitment of staff in another. Likewise, upcoming countries can be new areas to not only diversify the basic pool to recruit but also become the area to bring employment opportunities for IT experts from India.
Business Connect: What kind of clients do you serve? Dr. Salunkhe: Our clientele consists of Top Global Giants from Investment Banking, Financial Services, Information technology (Product & service), Insurance, Banking & Broking and Fin-tech Space.
Business Connect: Who is your role model in the business/ entrepreneurial world and what have you learned from the person? Dr. Salunkhe: There is not one specific person. But Attributes in the people who taught me, who guided me, who stood with me through thick and thin. As a CEO, you need to be a master of various traits along with a strong hold on finance as it is the heart of businesses. Having a risk bearing trait is the biggest asset of all along with the will to fight.
Business Connect: What gives you an edge over your peers? Dr. Salunkhe: What makes us better than our peers is the well experienced, expert and highly motivated team strength we possess. Along with that, we do not rely on the portals only for recruitment as we have a huge base of passive content being in the industry for 19 years which helps us to give a high offer-to-join percentage.
Business Connect: How do you ensure the unbreakable faith of clients in your company? Dr. Salunkhe: Having strong ethical mindset, we work with full integrity and honesty and that’s how our client relies on us for 11th-hour support in crisis situations also. Providing quality at right time with right fit has helped us to build an unbreakable faith in all our clients. Business Connect: Tell us something about your staff. How do you ensure their efficiency and positivity towards work in challenging times? Dr. Salunkhe: Our team strongly follows the values of the organization. We ensure their efficiency and positivity towards work in challenging times by regular training & grooming of the team, motivating them by giving additional entrepreneurial responsibilities.
Business Connect: What are your thoughts on women participation in the entrepreneurial world? Dr. Salunkhe: The world is an open arena for women entrepreneurs. Women have the capacity to multi-task and that is what being an entrepreneur demands. You have to keep track of numerous things and yet keep yourself sane enough to take the right decisions. Their natural sensitivity and empathy helps them to bring out the best and yet like a mother they can be hard for the good of the child. Women are in that regard naturally geared and and have always proved themselves worthy. In NET HR 90% of employees are women and even in our other verticals like the Education Company, they make up 60% of the staff.
Business Connect: Please let us know about the achievements of the company. Dr. Salunkhe: We have been Top 5 vendors for Majority of our clients for over a decade and with continuous efforts, we intend to be the most preferred vendor.
Business Connect: What are your short term and long term future plans for the company? Dr. Salunkhe: Short term plans are to keep pushing the envelope and create more business while the long term goal is to steer the company towards the emerging trends to be a leader.
In the future, it is anticipated that the management of the Robots would be a new set of skills and will give way to evolving self-learning Robots. The supervision arm would still have to be Human. Ahead in time, tied to robotics is the entire world of virtual and augmented reality and their use for the medical and other fields that will eventually give rise to a different set of skill needs in IT.
Business Connect: How have you adapted yourself to the latest needs of the market?
Dr. Salunkhe avers that in the coming few years AI (Artificial Intelligence) will change a lot of things like an assessment of skills through robotic testing, tracking changes in the way entrepreneurial skills are developed etc. Portions and segments of workplace work will give way to Robots, so that would need a new set of IT people who would be able to track and ensure the Robots perform.

BCM Review
Why Financial Services Must Go Online
Business Connect Team
Yes, Financial Services must go online, due to multiple of benefits. Undoubtedly, there can be no debate over why we should do transactions of money through internet. People find it extremely advantageous in today’s generation to do business online. Our honorable Prime Minister initiated the scheme of Digital India to endorse the financial services online. The main purpose of this scheme is to make the transfer of the money quickly through internet with safety. So, in this article, I am transcribing the advantages of carrying out the money related services through web.
The advantages of doing financial services online are as follows: Provide a comfort
People around the globe enjoys doing online transactions over internet, sitting comfortably in their cozy sofas. They can get access to their banks whenever and wherever they want. Using the mobiles and laptops, a person can quickly find the account details through internet. PAYTM services; shopkeepers and customers are using to propagate the agenda of Digital India.
www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA
Purchase different items online
We can purchase different commodities online by sitting at our homes without going to shops. This includes placing an order for a book on amazon, buying trendy sandals and shoes from Snap deal, ordering food from Zomato, etc. Whatever order you place, the transaction for that happen online quickly and safely. This provides an immense comfort to the customers to shop online and make payment.
[ 68 ]
Checking the transactions
Through online banking, you can check the transaction from your bank through mobile phones or laptops. This is the very quickest and easiest way to check the transactions from wherever and whenever you want to. It can deduct the unauthorized access also, if other user tries to do some wrong from your account, then it will send a reminder to alert you an unauthorized access. This will help you to quickly go and check the transaction that is made from your account and you can immediately inform to bank in this case.
Transferring money between accounts
This is very convenient service where people easily sitting at offices, homes, cafes can transfer money between the two accounts or different accounts at near about no cost. There is no need to go to the financial institutions. Obviously it will take some for the internal transfer from one bank to other, but it is better to stand in a line in the banks for doing this process.
Security issues
Online transactions reduce the risk of theft or robbery. With the help of Internet services, the transferring of money becomes secure and encrypted. For every transaction, a security code is provided to you, which cannot be copied by other users, so it’s pretty safe and secure. Without giving any second thought, go for online services but
remember do not fall in the trap of fake loan providers, mediators, frauds which do their advertisement. Try to do proper investigation before any transaction.
Time Consumption
It takes minimal time to transfer the money online, checking the transactions, order the food. The biggest advantage is the time savior. There is no reason of questioning why we should go for online services related to money? Rapid transactions will automatically increase the economic progress of our nation. Without thinking twice, go for transactions online. This will boost the commercial growth of the nation.
No manual efforts
It’s natural if we are not going to banks for checking our deposits, withdrawal, and payment so it is saving our efforts and time. No manual work is needed. There is no time consumption as well as in the mid of our daily schedule or busy hours we do not need to go outside. Therefore, by doing financial services over internet we can reduce the amount of our time and manpower. Now as an honest writer, I want to advice my all readers to try to use online services wisely. Do not do transactions from unauthorized sites which are going to be really risky and the chances of hacking the account and all is high. So, try to check everything before making any transaction. Do it safely.

“I FaceTime with the members of my team—there is no substitute for one-on-one communication. There’s an open-door policy to raise concerns or propose new and improved ways of doing things. I don’t micromanage, but instead, I empower employees to take ownership of their roles and responsibilities”. – Navin Gautham P.
Navin Gautham P
( Director & Country Manager) The most prominent shift of trends in the recruitment industry’s growth cycle is the increase in talent-specific jobs. Today’s companies are coming up with their own specific demands that directly impact business ecosystems. And with the pace at which the market shifts (due to evolving conditions and technology) companies are pushed to boil down their demands to precise specializations so they can stay ahead of the curve. This transformation means that the recruiting firms now have a larger role to play. As such, the industry is becoming more important to organizations whose productivity and reputation depend on hiring the right talent. With more than 60 years of talent solutions experience led by Acara CEO Scott Stenclik and Superior Talent India (STI) Director Navin Gautham P, both companies offer a full range of services, including contingent staffing, direct placement, payrolling, contract-to-direct, recruitment process outsourcing, and executive search— tailored to the unique and wide-ranging needs of our clients throughout India, the United States, and around the world.
Who is Navin Gautham P.?

Superior Talent India is now a trusted brand by companies in a wide variety of the industries. Business Connect: What kind of clients do you serve? Any special mentions? Business Connect: Do you believe R&D is essential for the growth of the company? STI: Yes, R&D delivers information based on statistics and data, which is vital to predicting where the recruitment and staffing industry is headed, what the degree of competition it, and how the lure of progress is perceived. Business Connect: Do you still come back to work with the same zeal you had when you started? STI: I like to think so! I know for sure that our team of highly motivated recruiters and sources make sure that their approach is customer-centric, and certainly that can’t happen if you’re not excited about your career. Without a positive perspective, Superior Talent India couldn’t offer the comprehensive, high-quality, cost-efficient service capabilities that we do. I’m talking about end-to-end recruitment services, such as strategic planning, talent brand assessment, sourcing and recruiting, talent relationship
management, onboarding, skills assessment, research and reporting, neutral exit interviews, and back-office administration. Business Connect: What are the achievements and milestones of the company? STI: We are proud to be recognized by world-class organizations. We have successfully earned a place on the Neo IT Top Outsourcing 100, Fortune Global Outsourcing 100, Fortune Top 10 HR Outsourcers, Gartner Group Top 100 Outsourcers, and more. Business Connect: What does the future hold for the company? STI: We want STI to be one of India’s top staffing and recruitment firms for direct placement, contract hire, executive search, and RPO solutions. Our commitment to developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with clients, candidates, and partners—coupled with our industry experience and personalized approach—has already made us a trusted staffing partner to many of the country’s leading organizations, and we’re excited to continue growing. In the present scenario, with the incorporation of newer and better technologies, the talent requirement vertical is on an all-time rise. Owing to the government’s focus on growing SME and startups (Make in India initiative), the requirement for the best talent pool is on the rise, which is beneficial for the staffing and recruitment Industry. Sectors like IT, telecom, BFSI, and Automotive are all projected to ramp up their hiring numbers. As per the recent studies, the staffing industry is likely to witness a growth of 12% in the coming years. As the labor market changes, many businesses and organizations must anticipate and tackle their talent requirements. Doing so will lead India’s staffing industry to play a more important role, test their efficiency, and adapt to some of the major shifts that are taking place in the industry, especially as they relate to rapidly changing government policies.

In a conversation with Business Connect Magazine, Ken Ehrhart, Founder & CEO, Paracosma Inc., gives a little tour about his venture and how besides AR/VR designs, they also create their own content in the gaming, entertainment, tourism, enterprise, and education/training spaces and have proprietary technology for producing, viewing, managing and distributing 360-degree photo and video content. Business Connect: How do you feel you are different from your competitors? Mr. Ehrhart : Paracosma has a large high-quality, low-cost development center in Kathmandu, Nepal, which allows it to build broad and deep capability across a wider range of AR and VR services, on more platforms than most other AR/VR companies. Companies can start with us on their earliest stages of experimentation and continue through initial Proof of Concept, Minimum Viable Product and on to Full Deployment, all in a very cost-effective and efficient process. www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA
Mr. Ken Ehrhart CEO , PARACOSMA
Business Connect: Did everything come easy, or you have your story of struggle? Mr. Ehrhart : Most (other) companies have experienced struggle in the AR and VR markets as in many cases they misjudged the ramp of the market and customers, often overspending or shutting down. On the other hand, from the beginning, we have focused on the long-term market for AR/VR, which requires particular discipline to maintain efficiency for the long-term. Business Connect: What kind of clients do you serve? Mr. Ehrhart : We have clients that are using both VR and AR for executive development and training. We have others using Industrial AR for machine maintenance, operations, and training as well as assembly and test applications. We are developing a VR surgery application. And, have developed VR demos and AR effects for marketing and trade shows. Other clients are focused on retail and home goods. Business Connect: How do you ensure unbreakable faith of clients in your company? Mr. Ehrhart : Each of our client relationships begins with a very honest appraisal of where AR and VR technology is today and whether or not it can deliver the client’s vision.
[ 74 ]
In many cases, their vision is ahead of the technology. It is then our role to assess whether we can innovate the solutions they desire. We often start with a very low-cost proof of concept, in which we are invested as much as the client because we have the philosophy that each project enables us to build our knowledge, skills, and capabilities. Thus, our clients can view us as collaborators rather than mere vendors. Business Connect: How do you keep pace with the changing market trends? Mr. Ehrhart : We have dedicated teams for AR, VR, 360 video, back-end cloud services, and a large Art department. Within each of those, we also have specialists in major platforms. If there is a new device, like Magic Leap AR goggles, we stand up a team to focus on that device. But, they work in concert with our HoloLens team and iOS and Android AR teams. All our engineers are constantly learning and experimenting with the latest technologies and innovations. Business Connect: Do you believe R&D is essential for the growth of the company? Mr. Ehrhart : We target R&D resources to long-term projects with no immediate commercial potential. Our engineers are both inventing our own technology and seeking to rapidly intergrade a broad array of new technologies. Business Connect: Do you still come back to work with the same zeal, like you did when you started? Mr. Ehrhart : It has been incredibly stimulating to work at the cutting edge of technologies and business models across a broad array of industry sectors. AR and VR have the same excitement of focus on the newest innovations, but it adds the essential creativity of Art and the boundless diversity not only of all Life but anything that is yet to be imagined. Business Connect: In terms of your market, what do you feel the future holds for entrepreneurs? Mr. Ehrhart : Imagine the economic scope of every activity in life that involves vision or experience, from travel, to leisure to interpersonal relationships, every industry from healthcare to real estate, everything we buy from furniture to entertainment, new frontiers in space or under the sea; potentially all of that activity will be enhanced by AR or duplicated in VR. The scope of entrepreneurial opportunity in AR and VR will be inconceivably large. Business Connect: How necessary do you feel it is to keep your employees content, how do you ensure it? Mr. Ehrhart : The best AV and VR simply is not possible without a team effort. Teams are only as effective as their passion and enthusiasm. Contentment is the baseline requirement, motivation is critical. The best means we have to generate motivation is through sharing a compelling vision for what we are doing and why we are doing it. To inspire our team that the opportunity in front of us is more compelling than any other opportunity.
Business Connect: Who is your role model in the business/ entrepreneurial world and what have you learned from the person? Mr. Ehrhart : Nick Clinch has been recognized as one of the greatest ever Expedition Leaders. His climbing expeditions were successful Worldwide, he was also an author, bibliophile, and philanthropist. Nick would say that people can be measured both by their capability and will power. His career and interests were shaped by both high capability and great enthusiasm. He was a great leader. But, he never sought credit. Business Connect: How are you giving back to society (CSR, if any)? Mr. Ehrhart : We co-founded the VR for Good Conference with VR Voice, focused on raising awareness of, support for and impact from the benefits that VR can bring to individuals, societies, and humanity, whether through empathy driving charity action, healthcare, social and cultural experiences. We are also beginning an AR and VR project to increase tsunami awareness and safety. Business Connect: Apart from work, what else do you like to spend your time doing? Mr. Ehrhart : I live and work in the US, Japan, and Nepal. I am typically traveling when not working, a big part of my life is focused on multicultural and multinational activity. But, the most important thing is spending additional time with my family. Business Connect: What are the achievements and milestones of the company? Mr. Ehrhart : Each year we have had significant growth in Clients, Revenues and Employees. In addition to our US headquarters, we have wholly owned subsidiary companies in Nepal and Japan. We will be launching several new solutions in the marketplace that we believe will be well received. We are also expanding our VR training focus in both healthcare and logistics. We also have bagged a number of titles like, “10 Most Innovative AR & VR Companies to Watch in 2018” The Technology Headlines Magazine, “10 Fastest Growing AR/VR Technology Solution Providers to Watch in the Year-2018” APAC Business Headlines, "The 10 Most Evolutionary AR/VR Solution Providers to Look For In 2019" Mirror Review Magazine and many more. Mr. Ehrhart believes that the value of AR and VR solutions is Real and here today across a number of industries that are seeing direct ROI from their AR/VR initiatives. Surveys show that 100% of the companies that have tried AR or VR are planning additional future investment. For those companies that have not yet tried it, Paracosma offers high value, cost-effective assistance in getting started. They are ready to assist your company in achieving Real results from your Virtual initiatives. ‘‘Making Augmented and Virtual Reality as good as Reality is not enough, Our Vision is to make Augmented and Virtual Realities better than Reality, Our Mission is to make Reality better through Augmented and Virtual Reality.” Mr. Ken Ehrhart

WATER CONSERVATION THE NEED OF HOUR Business Connect Team
With more than 7.56 billion people living on the planet Earth, approximately 80 million people increasing per year, and the population estimated to exceed 10 billion by 2050, the global water needs are set to grow more urgent. Recent reports for the water situation in India gave the ranking of India at 120th position among 122 countries in the water quality index. India is confronting its worst water crisis in history, which is only expected to become worse since the country's water requirement is projected to be twice the available supply by the year 2030. Transformations in lifestyles and eating habits in recent years are demanding more water consumption per capita. “Leaving no one trailing or behind” is the subject matter for World Water Day 2019 which is being celebrated on 22nd March this year. The principal commitment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is as sustainable development advances, everyone must benefit. The major factors that have a noteworthy impact on future water challenges are: • Population (For drinking, cooking, bathing, washing clothes, and sprinkling water for lawns and gardens, people are dependent on water). • Economic growth (Jobs are heavily waterdependent, Work in agriculture, mining and industries moving over wide areas from paper to pharmaceuticals are water-dependent) • Energy (Energy extraction and generation are water-dependent) • Climate change (Warming temperatures, changes in precipitation or rainfall, and sea level rise affect water supply and quality). • Demographic trends (Population size, distribution, and composition affect Water demand) Water is a basic source of life and a wonderful gift of God. It is a natural resource but more than that it is a human and social right relating to democracy and citizenship. To a matter of true concern, the current data says that in the present world, more than a billion people do not have access to clean drinkable, healthy water. It is the right time to ponder and ask, www.businessconnectindia.in | Vol. 1 | Issue 9 April 2019 INDIA
It’s high time that we should take necessary measures to make the correction as the tremendous increase in Population and unchallenged water use have brought us to the brink of a worldwide water crisis. If ever there would be a third world war, it will be for water, if we don’t take serious cognizance of this crisis. According to a recent survey by 2025, half of the world’s population will be leaving in water-stressed areas. If we want a safe future, we need to start conserving water in our homes, offices etc. eg. By proper monitoring of cooling tower water used in Air conditioning systems, Turning off water features when not in use etc...

Facts and Figure of Water • There are around 2.1 billion people living on Earth without safe water at home. • About one in four primary schools has no drinking water supply, with students using unprotected sources or remaining thirsty. • There are more than 700 children under the age of five years who die every day from diarrhoea linked to unsafe water and poor sanitation. • The global data says, 80% of the people who have to use unsafe and unprotected water sources live in rural areas. • The female human (women or girls) are responsible for water collection in eight out of ten households with water off-premises. • According to a report, 68.5 million people who have been forced to leave their homes is because of the problem faced in access to safe water supply. • About 159 million people accumulate their drinking water from surface water sources, such as ponds and streams. • About 4 billion people – nearly two-thirds of the world’s population – experience severe water scarcity during at least one month of the year. • There are over 800 women who die every day from complications in pregnancy and childbirth. • The number estimated is about 700 million people worldwide who could be displaced by intense water scarcity by 2030.
the coastal ecosystems. Waste from the plants is another issue as the salty residue is usually released back into the sea, but this must be cautiously managed because at the concentrations produced it is toxic to marine life. According to the latest available figures of 2019, the number of desalination plants around the world in 120 countries (mostly in the Middle East and North Africa) is 16,000 which produce some 95 million cubic meters/ day of freshwater, which is less than 1% of total world consumption. Conclusion We need to take a pledge towards solving this serious issue and take necessary measures at our homes, offices or business workplace to conserve water. It is an opportunity to raise awareness about improving water, health, preventing disease ultimately aiding the Nation’s economic growth. Only when people will be aware of how it affects us can truly help in social mobilization and advocacy will begin.
Solution to the water crisis problem The answer to the water crisis problem is the planet’s largest water resource, seawater, is in no threat of running out, making up 97% of Earth’s water. Why not utilize it for drinking purpose? The most basic technologies of converting “Saline water” into “Freshwater” are: • Distillation/desalination, the process of converting water into steam, and then condensing back it into liquid. For small scale, this process could be the right option which cleanses water of other impurities as well as salt. But at large scales, such as providing the drinking water needs for a city, the process is not economical, even using modern methods such as low-pressure vessels to lower the boiling point. • Using electric currents, which when passed through the water can separate out the salt and other minerals, and reverse osmosis, by which saline water is progressed at high pressure through membranes that exclude salt and impurities. In both these methods energy requirements are very high, which makes them less economical, also they add global greenhouse gas emissions. Sucking in seawater can also suck in fish, affecting flora and fauna of sea and damage
