PROJECT 1 - SENSORY PAVILION
SKETCH DEVELOPMENT FROM PRECEDENT About Jewish Museum exhibits the history of Jewish people, and as such, the spatial sequence attempts to recreate emotions. The journey gives the visitors a strong understanding on Jewish struggle during the past days.
Initial form - made up with spiral formation
The journey is a progression which it is a continuous story of development. Therefore, we develop a hierarchy form in the design.
Material
PRECEDENT STUDIES
The building is made up of a reinforced concrete structure with a Titanium Zinc Skin. Due to the use of cast in place concrete and a facade monotonously covered in Zinc, the building has a sense of gravitas within the site.
Slits of Apertures = Scar The slits of apertures along the facade of the building invoke a curiosity and express testament of scarring the building.
The flow of pathway is terminated around the center and circulation is forced throughout the journey.
Narrow slits of aperture symbolising the progression and development of Putrajaya

Presen t
SPIRIT OF PLACE Located at Putrajaya, a modern planned city with a number of grand Government buildings, mosques, palaces and monuments that creates a visually appealing cityscape
Inspired by the Jewish Museum, the idea of journey that follows the centric formation is created for visitors to walk through and experience the spaces within.
Exposed to thoughts of spatial quality and poetics of space from the Jewish Museum, we created spaces that reflects the past, present and future of Putrajaya.
SITE PLAN
Dominan t
A centralized organization is applied in the design. It is a concentrated composition that secondary spaces grouped around a central space.

SITE ANALYSIS Site Response
Site Issues
The main attraction of the site is the lake. It is an advantage to design the cafe on the lake due to the water element bring calmness and serene to the cafe
The sun path from the east to west here gives nice natural lighting into the building Lack of food and beverage in the area
Future development may cause destruction to nature The prevailing wind that come from the east help a lot for the building ventilation. Big opening and dining is suggested to locate at the east side
No pedestrian walkway to access the site
Large undeveloped area may lead to criminal activity
Taking the view as the focal point

PROJECT 2 - POP CULTURE CAFE
SITE SYNTHESIS TREES AS LANDSCAPE IS ADDED TO ACT AS WAY OF SEPARATION BETWEEN EGRESS AND INGRESS
WASTE BIN IS LOCATED NEAR TO BACKLANE OF THE CAFE
THE PICK UP COUNTER IS EXTENDED SO THAT THE FOOD SERVICES RIDER DON'T HAVE TO ENTER THE RESTAURANT TO PICK UP FOOD
Design Proposal : Different type of Tables and chairs to differentiate function for dine-in ( groups/couple/alone).
SITE PLAN PEDESTRIAN VEHICLE
SCALE 1:200
THE OKU AREA IS PLACE NEAR TO THE ENTRANCE, EASIER FOR THEM TO ENTER THE CAFE
Problem : Crowding in dining by users and staffs Design Solution : Ordering, payment and pickup done at the counter (by SOP). Does not disturb the dining space.

The louvers basically act as substitute of a typical window, which use to allow continuous flow of the natural ventilation at the space
Tree act as shading from the direct natural lighting while still allowing the natural lighting penetrates into the building
Decorative skylight is use to allow natural lighting into the building also the void is to allow the warm out of the building
