a series of themed markets celebrating local creative talent from across the region
Museum of Farnham, 38 West Street, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 7DX
makers at the museum are a series of themed markets at the Museum of Farnham celebrating the creative talent of our region.
At the core of these markets will be a curated marketplace, centred around a single theme:
• the artists’ market – Sat 28 October 2023
• the jewellers’ market – Sat 16 March 2024
• the ceramists’ market – Sat 15 June 2024
Our vision is that these markets will be more than just somewhere to buy fantastic artworks and gifts. Alongside the market stalls there will also be guided and self-led art and crafts activities plus demonstrations from some of the participating artists and makers.
These markets offer opportunities to well-established artsits and makers as well as first time exhibitors and graduates. Please be aware that this is a curated market and exhibitors are selected by a panel from both the museum and farnham maltings. This selection process will aim to offer visitors an eclectic mix of art and craft styles.
The Museum of Farnham is a local history museum founded in 1961 to provide the Farnham community with a collection dedicated to the history of the local area. It is situated within a Grade I listed Georgian town house (“Willmer House”) and has a walled garden and popular community hire space, the Garden Gallery. The Museum is an integral part of the Farnham Maltings Association.
The museum is located on West Street in the centre of the town with plenty of public car parks and the rail station only 15 minutes away.
