WELCOME
welcome Welcome back! I won’t overly dwell on all that has happened over the past year. Suffice to say it has required us to adapt, rethink, and test new ways of meeting our ambition to contribute to the quality of life of Farnham. And we are still here! We know well that this has been a difficult period for many, which is why we put increased effort into finding ways to connect people, share resources and encourage collaboration across the town. We could not have dreamed two years ago that we would be leading a buddying scheme to match individuals who feel isolated with volunteers eager to make a difference in the community or that we would have become the centre for swapping jigsaw puzzles and board games. We are keen to make use of the opportunity of the pause to think about how and what we do. Using a one-way system for our festivals and larger events has proved popular, using paperless ticketing has been a success as has having timed entry to some events. Using the outdoor space has attracted new users and we will certainly do more of that next summer. We have introduced a new informal craft show, Sweater Weather as a sister event to unravel. Other ambitions and ideas will follow all shaped by an enthusiasm for being the best version of ourselves that we can be. Gavin Stride Director
