REDEFINED was a departure from our profile formatted issue, STYLE-MAKERS. In true FM style, MANNERISMS gave us an opportunity to push the envelope a bit further than we have in the past by exploring a number of concepts, including gender roles, perceptions, folklore, morality and vanity. After sharing our idea to feature bow ties in our Fall issue, Jenny Schultz, the owner, invited us to get a preview of her fall/winter 2013 collection. The bow ties are available as clip ons or with a collar. Beckson Market is a home-based business, which is quickly gaining attention, as bow ties are growing more popular, YET AGAIN. Traditionaly, bow ties (or ties in general) are thought to be a wardrobe accessory for men. However, after all we’ve learned on the previous pages of MANNERISMS, that is not the case.
