Remember the way that you felt in the days following 9/11. You looked people in the face. Your cared about the way they must have felt. We could talk to anybody, and had empathy for the way that they may be impacted. There was no race. There was no Republican or Democrat. There were Americans, hurting, but with resolve. We are the same people today, as we were then. We just have to remember, and understand that even today, your brothers and sisters, neighbors and friends, the people you pass on the street, are no different now. We have just forgotten how important we are to each other. On 9/12, we were different people. Let’s be those people, every day.
