move in 101 FRESHMAN CHECK-IN

Begins on Wednesday, August 15, 2012.

Students should report directly to their assigned residence hall to check-in.

(Algonquin Hall residents should report to Heritage Park Towers).

Please plan your arrival based on the following schedule: Even Floors – 8:30 a.m. – noon Odd Floors – 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

UPPERCLASS CHECK-IN

Students, please report directly to your assigned residence hall to check-in on August 16, 2012 from 8:30am-5:00pm.

(Algonquin Hall residents should report to Heritage Park Towers to check-in).

PACKING

Don’t try to bring everything you own. You can always get it later. Not all residence halls have elevators, and we have a limited number of carts, so it is better to pack a number of moderate-sized boxes that can be handled by one person, rather than a few large boxes. There is no space for storage of boxes, suitcases or trunks. If you plan to have any of your items mailed or sent via parcel post, please make arrangements for an arrival date after our initial move-in day.

Furnishings & Kitchen Appliances Algonquin Hall, Heritage Park Towers, Glades Park Towers, & Indian River Towers

Each student is provided with an extra-long bed (36” X 80” extra-long twin mattress), desk, desk chair and chest of drawers. Residents may bring a small refrigerator and/or microwave (Algoquin residents are provided with a MicroFridge). Additionally, refrigerators should be 3.6 cubic feet or smaller and have a maximum of 400 watts at 120 volts, and microwave ovens should be 1.3 cubic feet capacity or smaller and have a maximum of 1,100 watts at 120 volts.

University Village Apartments

Each student is provided with an extra-long bed (36” x 80” extra-long twin mattress), dresser, desk and desk chair. In addition, a full-size refrigerator, stove and kitchen sink are also provided for each apartment.

Students who live in the four-bedroom apartments are also provided a sofa and chair for the living room.

Student rooms are carpeted in University Village Apartments. Studio apartments are equipped with armoires. Microwave ovens are welcome; they should be 1.3 cubic feet capacity or smaller and have a maximum of 1,100 watts at 120 volts.

Innovation Village Apartments North & South

Each student is provided with a standard full-size bed, two stackable dressers, desk and desk chair. Each apartment common area is furnished with a sofa, chair, TV stand, coffee table and kitchen table. Bedrooms and living room are carpeted. Innovation Village Apartments include a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher provided in the kitchen area.
