YOUTH / YOUNG PEOPLE

Young people aged between 12 and 25 play a valuable role in communities across the Federation Council area. A variety of opportunities exist for young people to be involved and connected with their community.

FEDERATION YOUTH COUNCIL

The Federation Youth Council is an advisory committee of Council that aims to represent and advocate the opinions, issues and concerns of young people across the Federation area. It provides a forum for young people to express their views, advise Council on youth-related issues, and help organise youth driven and focused events and activities.

I AM FEDERATION SOCIAL PAGES

Council hosts the ‘I Am Federation’ Facebook page.

I Am Federation is a place where young people living in Federation Council towns and villages can come to connect, engage with each other and keep up to date on all news relating to young people in the area.

MIKI CITY

Federation Council has a sister city relationship with Miki City in Japan that includes an exchange program that offers High School students from the Federation Council area the opportunity to visit Japan as part of a hosted exchange program every two years. Students from Miki in Japan also visit Australia and stay with local host families. The Miki City Advisory Committee supports this program.
