The Joy Street block has also been lowered by two stories to keep in context with Armagh House on the corner. This side of the block resembles a terraced street keeping in context with the residential area to the North side of the site.

The structural grid that holds the platform is very strong geometrically, therefore it is
impossible
to
compete
with.
The
only
option is to emphasise this. By elevating part of the platform there is an opportunity to create a threshold between the intimate and open via the horizon. The Public House sits in limbo, between the man-made and the natural, marking the point where the built environment meets the Irish Sea.

FEIDHLIM Skills and Qualities
Technical Skills
Teamwork
Senior Inter-County Gaelic Footballer for Armagh. The opportunity to represent my county at the highest level has taught me how valuable teamwork is in achieving desired results. This is a quality that I have brought into my working life. Utilizing each member of a design team is imperative to create exciting and desirable projects.
Communication
Throughout my time in practice and at University I developed the ability to deliver presentations in a clear, concise manner as well as fielding questions under pressure. This is an important ability as it removes any confusion from the client’s mind.
Time Management
Being a member of the Armagh Squad is time consuming, consequently I have developed the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines without compromising quality of work. I believe this transferable skill will be of benefit throughout my career.
