abundance Winter brings about a soft darkness, it seems, where all the colour of the world takes on a muted veil. So when the holidays near, my heart nearly sings out in joy when bright shades burst life back into the landscape. From packages of red and green (tied up with string) underneath the twinkling lights and dark evergreens to the royal hues of gold, blue, and purple, I am captivated. Last year, my friend decked her home out in candy colours of pink, yellow, blue, and orange; the essence of child-like wonder. Bright, abundant colour. Abundance. The magic of those holiday hues is the reminder of all the beauty to be thankful for. My family, friends, the pets that
keep my feet warm at night, the snippy cold that encourages me to knit more sweaters, the hand-knit socks on my feet, having nimble fingers that can make, the yarns I get to work with ... such wonderful abundance in the smallest of things. We hope the colourful accessories you find in this little collection embody that for you. The amazing designers inside these pages crafted easy pieces that enable you to savour the time creating as much as you’ll savour the finished results.
