Femme Noire Magazine

Syracuse, United States

www.femmenoiremag.weebly.com

Founded in 2015 by Keturah Raymond and Jayla Goodloe, Femme Noire is a campus magazine that focuses on intersectionality within social movements but primarily feminism. Femme Noire was born out of the need for recognition of all identities and to promote a different kind of feminism that disregards race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, ability level, religion and socioeconomic status. Through dialogues, demonstrations such as the Slut Walk, the publication of our magazine, and service in the greater community Femme Noire hopes to educate on the importance of intersectionality in social movements as well as to create a safer, more inclusive campus.
