floating theater 2021

professors: juliana braga, marcelo maia rosa, moracy almeida understanding the river as a space for recreation but also for transport, the theater was designed to meet these two demands: a large walkway, which can be used as a passageway but also as a stage. a physical and ludic transport at the same time. the structure allows the theater not to be isolated, the scenery is still the city and those who are on land can also observe what happens inside.

professors: juliana braga, marcelo maia rosa, moracy almeida the building, located in the central area of diadema, seeks to enhance living spaces, free areas and circulation, aiming at the high density of housing in the municipality. the vertical farm becomes possible with the use of inverted ribbed slabs and displacement of the units, allowing a lot of light to enter.

largo da banana is the birthplace of samba in the city of são paulo. in the 80’s it was erased due to the construction of the pacaembu viaduct over it. with the aim of re-signifying and bringing to light the memory of this space of music and merchandise exchange, it is proposed to create a music school with a free and permeable ground floor, which allows the unpredictability as in samba culture. together with this, a reurbanization of the street was thought, with the reduction of the space of the car and valorization of the pedestrian, with paving, furniture and flowerbeds. using the same paving throughout the project, the street will be an extension of the square / market that is located underneath the building.

professors: fábio valentim, lua nitsche, luís mauro freire group: fernanda teixeira, juliana tegoshi based on a pre-existing building, a renovation was planned that would include both housing and a gastronomic center, so that the ground floor would be active. so we decided to remove a section of the building to make it narrower and facilitate the entry of sunlight, along with the holes in the slabs. slabs were also adicionadas, as all floors have a double height, forming relationships between floors and duplex apartments.
