Açai Concentrated Extract is a product obtained from selected wild harvested fruit that is submitted to clarification and concentration process through a proprietary patent pending process. Common Use: Functional e beverages, energy drinks, sport drinks, natural juice, yoghurts, desserts, jelly, gel in suspension and others. Ingredients: Açaí berries (only endcarp and mesocarp) citric acid and water. No preservatives added. The açai oil represents a new cosmetic ingredient, which promotes moisturizing, leading to soft, silky and healthy skin. It is an excellent source of essential fatty acids, such as linoleic acid, omega 6 and 9, polyphenols, and antioxidant agents. A great source of phytosterols, acai oil helps regulating lipid balance and activity, providing skin repair. Andiroba oil is high in analgesic, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also rich in vitamin F, required for healthy cell membranes which reduce puffiness and skin swelling. In 2002, researchers reported that the oil could prevent and even reverse cervical dysphasia (a precancerous condition that often develops into cervical cancer). This oil transports healing alpha-hydroxyl acids and other ingredients as they moisturize and protect the skin. Bacaba oil is rich in omega 9, aminoacids and unsaturated oleic, linoleic fatty acids. Due its emollient properties, bacaba oil is suitable for hair and skin care products.

Brazil nut oil is highly nutritious. It contains 75% unsaturated fatty acids composed mainly of palmitic, oleic and linoleic acids, as well as the phytosterol sitosterol, and fat-soluble vitamins A and E. It helps renew dry, lifeless hair, split-ends and allows hair to remain very soft and healthy; helps lubricate and moisturize skin, providing antioxidant benefits, resulting in soft, smooth and hydrated skin. Brazil nut oil has a pleasant taste and can be a wonderful replacement for olive oil. Breu Branco oil resin contains high levels of monoterpenes, such as α-pyrene (10,5%), limonene (16,9%), α-phellandrene (16,7%) and terpinolene (28,5%). It is also well known due to its aromatic properties what makes it a great choice for soaps and personal care products.

Containing 72,5% of oleic acid and vitamin E, buriti is the highest naturally occurring source of beta-carotene (118 miligrams/100g). For the cosmetics industry, buriti oil has been used as a component of sunscreen products for it’s capacity to absorb ultraviolet light. The chemical composition of the oil-resin of copaiba is thought to have approximately 72 sesquiterpenes (hydrocarbons) and 28 diterpenes (carboxylic acids), and the oil is composed by 50% of each these terpenes.Copaiba oil-resin also has antiulcer, antiviral and antirhinovirus properties. It’s a well known product from the Amazon, being described in the British Pharmacopeia over 150 years ago.

Guava oil presents high levels of lycopene, linoleic acid and a pleasant taste and odor. Due to the antioxidant levels and consequent cell protection capacity, the oil is a very good option for personal care products, such as skin and hair creams. Muruci oil is rich in linoleic and oleic acids, flavonoids anthocyanins and tocopherols. Due to its antioxidants properties, it is a great anti aging ingredient for cosmetics. Ojon oil is rich in oleic, linoleic and palmitic acid. It is commoly used in hair treatment, providing moisture and shine.

Passion fruit oil has a pleasant taste and odour and a high content of unsaturated fatty acids. It has a relaxing aromatic substance (passiflorin) that reduces anxiety, improves sleep, and reduces stress and fatigue. Passion fruit oil is rich in linoleic acid, and restores the lipid layer of skin and provides moisturizing and emollient properties that increase skin silkiness. Pataua oil contains high levels of oleic acid and omega 9, aminoacids and unsaturated fatty acids. Due to the moisturizing properties, the oil can be used for hair and skin care products, soaps and moisturizers. Pequi oil is rich in fatty acids and boasts a high content of vitamins A, C and many B, as well as phytosterols, stigmasterol and lanosterol. Squalene and selenium are obtained in concentrations of 64mg ans 0.7mg per 100g respectively. The oil is used in the production of skin creams and lotions, soaps, bath oils as well as shampoo and conditions for dried and brittle hair. At 19%, pracachy oil has the highest known concentration of Behenic acid, 6 times more than peanut oil. Studies have reported about insect repellent properties of pracachy oil.

PRACACHY

Soursop oil is obtained from the fruit seeds and is rich in oleic, linoleic and palmitic acids. Due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, it is used by the local people in the Amazon as a natural medicine. The oil extracted from the tucumã pulp contains 25.6% saturated fatty acids, and 74,4% of unsaturated fatty acids represented by palmitic, stearic, oleic and linoleic. Its value of ßcarotene reaches 180 to 330 mg/100g. As the oil is rich in omega 3, 6 and 9, it behaves as an excellent moisturizer and is used in cosmetics for skin hydrations, body lotions and hair products. It is also excellent emollient with a high spreadability powder.

Babacu butter is a superior emollient that is beneficial for either dry or oily complexions, contains about 70% lipids which is essential to reducing dry skin conditions. It also has the ability to balance the moisture level of the skin at epidermis level, revitalizing dull skin without leaving an oily sheen. Babacu butter is also naturally rich in vitamins A, D, E and F. All fats originated from bacuri have a high absorption rate, due to its high level of tripalmitin, which penetrates the skin quickly. The bioactive ingredient tripalmitin is used in capsules to slow the diffusion of drugs into an organism, reducing the side effect of strong medicines that are absorbed by the organism.

Cocoa butter is a very well known product used in large scale in the chocolate industry, due to its odor and flavour. In cosmetics, it is also used due its moisturizing and antioxidant properties. With a balanced composition of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, it’s a great ingredient for the cosmetics industry for low melting point butters. It has a high capacity to absorb water (app. 120% higher than lanolin) and contains phytosterols, especially beta-sitosterol. Once in touch with skin, the butter is quickly absorbed and offers skin elasticity recovery capability (long hydration effect with reduced water loss). Being rich in lauric, myristic and oleic acids, muru-muru has properties similar to tucuma and coconut palm, but provides greater consistency due its higher melting point (33ºC). The butter is a highly nourishing emollient and moisturizer for hair and skin. It also can be used to substitute cocoa butter in chocolate providing a firmer consistency.

Tucumã kernel oil is very similar in appearance, consistency and properties to palm kernel oil. It is ideal for cooking. Due to its low level of free acids, the refining process becomes much simpler compared to palm oil. The high concentration of lauric acids (47%) in tucuma seed butter qualifies it with excellent properties for soap processing. The ucuuba seeds are rich in fat (60-70%) and 70% od the fat is composed of trimyristin, a triglyceride of myristic acid. The butter has a high-melting point (53ºC) and saponification value (220mg KOH/g) which makes it to be an ideal raw material that could replace animal tallow in the production of fine soaps, as well as replacement to other fatty substances in the food and pharmaceutical industries that need a high melting point.
