Vehicle Wrap Competition Rules 1. Conduct yourself professionally and work safely at all times. 2. Any competitor that cuts the paint, damages a vehicle, or causes any article to catch on fire will be automatically disqualified. 3. Bring all of your own tools (only cleaning supplies and electricity for heat guns will be provided). 4. Competitors are to check in with contest officials 20 minutes prior to their match. If possible, pick up your show badge and locate the competition area the day before your first match. This will eliminate stress and help you be on time for your match. 5. Each graphic panel must be completely finished before starting a new panel. 6. Listen to the instructions and follow the directions of the judges and contest officials. 7. Do not engage the judges and contest officials in idle conversation or to discuss match results during show hours. They are operating on a very tight schedule and must be allowed to do their jobs to keep the contest running smoothly and on time. 8. The decisions of the judges are final. 9. Failure to abide by the rules above is grounds for disqualification. Official Judging Guidelines The judging will be conducted by a panel of judges in a fair and impartial manner in accordance with the following: The judges will utilize a scoring system designed to place high priority on quality. Speed itself is not scored, but volume of work completed is a factor. Each judge will individually inspect each vehicle and assign scores to each category that applies to that match round. The total scores for each contestant will be averaged to determine the match winners. In most matches, there will be a variance both in the quality and volume of work performed. In those cases, the combination of our unique and in‐depth scoring system and independent scoring and score averaging by the panel of judges will ensure fair and impartial results. If all competitors in a match complete all of the work in the assigned time, the designated number of winners with the best quality will advance to the next round. If by chance any competitors tie by completing an equal amount of work with equal quality, the ones with the most work completed (or shortest time) will advance. Scoring Each judge will award a point score from a range of minimum to maximum points allowed for each applicable item. Points will be awarded for the following: Cleaning ‐ main exterior surfaces, door jambs, wheel wells, recessed areas (door handles, etc.) Placement ‐ overall graphic position, individual graphic alignment at panel overlaps Installation Quality ‐ main body graphics, door handles, wheel openings, edges, and mirrors Trimming ‐ windows, body moldings, door and body edges, door handles and lights Finishing ‐ removed bubbles and wrinkles, re‐squeegeed edges, heated edges, post‐heated complex curves, wiped off marks, cleaned graphic, picked up trash Penalties ‐ bubbles, wrinkles, patches, loose edges, over‐stretched vinyl Percentage of work completed (when necessary)
