Together, the Murray State Bands and Western Kentucky University Bands are organizing a project to commission an original piece of music in Kelsey’s honor, which will be shared with band programs across the region. This composition will serve as a lasting tribute to Kelsey’s memory, reflecting her joy in teaching and her deep connection to her students. Through this project, we hope to keep her passion for music alive and inspire future generations of students and educators alike

We invite you to contribute to this effort with a monetary donation, helping us bring this beautiful tribute to life While individual supporters will not receive a copy of the music, your generosity will be recognized in the published score as a testament to your support of this meaningful project.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, will help us ensure that Kelsey’s memory lives on through the gift of music. This is a chance for all of us who were touched by Kelsey’s life, or by the impact of music education, to come together in a way that honors her legacy and shares her love of music with future students and musicians

“From the moment she stepped on stage in any performance, you knew she was there and she was ready. You could see the passion in her eyes, in her body language and it was passed along to her students ” - Calvin Warren, Kelsey’s mentor and teacher
