EDITOR’S NOTE Since its first release in 2009, the Tamkomiks have always been a place for the FEU Advocate’s Arts section to show off their skills in not only illustrating but comedic storytelling as well. In the time that has passed since then, stories and comics that capture the masses have changed-- and the Tamkomiks have surely changed with it. What may have started as a collection of funny comic strips, has now grown into a collection of stories conceptualized, written, and illustrated by the Arts section. A big thank you and congratulations to the Arts section for working so hard in the accomplishment of this issue. Many of you came out of your comfort zones while partaking in this project and I commend your perseverance in pushing through. I hope the skills you have honed not only during the making of this issue but throughout your time inside Advocate will help you in your artistic endeavors in the future. I know you have more artworks to create and stories to tell. Again, to Vel, Sophia, Joven, Xandra, April, Ayumi, and Nik, Congratulations to all of you, and Good job! Another set of thanks to the layout artists of the FEU Advocate for always working alongside us. Thank you for your hard work!

THE ARTISTS SHIENA SANCHEZ Shiena Sanchez is the current Art Director of FEU Advocate. Though she is often enthralled in her own fantastical world, you may find her in her room, the Advocate office, or on the streets protesting. @yenasartdump
@yenaaaaaasan
MARY VEL CUSTODIO Mary Vel Custodio is currently a Senior Illustrator and Managing Assistant at FEU Advocate. She may look “suplada” or “mataray” as others described her, but her face just naturally looks like that. She usually talks less, but when she gets vocal to you, it means that she trusts you because Vel only has few, yet long-lasting friends. Mary Vel Custodio
@vel_lissima
JOVEN VELUYA Joven Veluya is a recently promoted senior illustrator of the Arts Section. Raw dogging life with his 2 Mb braincell, you’ll either find him in a vicious art block or a god complex after finishing a piece, there’s no in-between. @___joven
@___j.dv
ALEXANDRA LIM Alexandra Lim, the junior illustrator under FEU Advocate. Ask her about her current fixation and expect to receive different answers every time. She’s a great person to talk about any topic when she knows almost everything... except what’s important, unfortunately. Alexandra Lim
@owlishxnr
SOPHIA KAYE FERNANDEZ Sophia Kaye Fernandez is an Illustrator of FEU Advocate. An embodiment of an introvert plus her blurry vision, she roams around the halls of FEU while not recognizing anyone unless she is greeted. She daydreams, a lot. Yee Ven
@shoooppiiaaa
APRIL KURSTEIGN GARCIA April Kursteign Garcia is a probationary illustrator at FEU Advocate. April’s not good at oral communication, but she can express herself strongly through art . @ KursteignApril
@kursteign03
MILES MUNICH MONTREAL Miles Munich “Nik” Montreal Jimenez is an illustrator at FEU Advocate and an aspiring artist taking Fine Arts as his undergraduate program. He enjoys making fanarts of his favorite anime characters and K-pop idols. @montreiii
@m_yunikk
AYUMI MATSUDA Ayumi Matsuda is a new staffer and illustrator of FEU Advocate. She may seem intimidating but she can talk about art, history, and anything that she may have an interest in for hours. Ayumi Matsuda

ABOUT TAMKOMIKS What started as an avenue to showcase their comedic skills through a series of comic strips has grown into a fully-fledged collection of comics written and illustrated by the FEU Advocate’s very own Arts Section. It has been a decade since the last physical TamKomiks issue was published, and in that time the TamKomiks has grown and changed into what it is now. However, the core of it is still the same— to bring valuable illustrated stories to the FEU community.
