Bride&Groom AN INTERVIEW WITH THE
HOW DID YOU MEET? Exactly 6 Years ago on Thursday September 17th, 2015, our friend Natalie invited Ari to watch a band perform at The Freeman. Bree happened to be working there that evening as a waitress. Natalie, who met Bree in college, recognized her and introduced her to Ari. Honestly, the first time we met, neither of us had any intention of speaking again and neither of us were that interested in the other person. The following Tuesday, Ari and Natalie went back to Deep Ellum to perform at an open mic. As the two of us were leaving, we happened to see Bree again walking with another mutual friend from a distance. Ari called Bree’s name from afar and we struck up another conversation. The three of us were in Ari’s car talking until 7 am. We cracked jokes, shared related experiences, and made plans to hang out again that morning. Ari and Bree met up again that weekend to work on music together, and were nearly inseparable from then on. WHO SAID “I LOVE YOU” FIRST? Ari: It’s been so long ago now, but I’m positive I said it first. DESCRIBE YOUR FIRST DATE: Ari: We went for ramen in Deep Ellum on a random Friday afternoon. I remember the black dress Bree walked in wearing. The date would’ve ended there normally but we ended up hanging out the entire day. We ended the evening dancing on a rooftop to Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me To The Moon” WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION? Ari: That we had instant chemistry. Bree: How attentive he was, and that he had a genuine interest in me. HOW DID YOU KNOW THEY WERE THE ONE? Ari: I just knew. Bree: Lol, same. Cliche, but when you know you know. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT HIM/HER? Ari: I love Bree’s determination, her poetic mind, and the way her teeth show when she smiles even when her lips are closed. Bree: I love his heart for me and those he cares about. DESCRIBE HIM/HER IN THREE WORDS? Ari: Bree is Honest, Straight Forward, Silly. Bree: Thoughtful, Caring, Goofy. WHO IS THE BETTER COOK? Ari: Depends on the meal, but for the first few years I was convinced it was me by a LONG shot. Honestly Bree has been growing. Bree: Don’t let Ari lie to you lol. I cook from scratch, and I cook with love. You can’t beat a delicious, slow cooked, homemade meal. WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT ON YOUR WEDDING DAY? Ari: To see her in this dress she’s been hiding away for the past year. Bree: To see everything come together, and being able to provide an environment for our family and friends to celebrate, be happy, and make memories. WHO LEANED IN FIRST FOR THE FIRST KISS? Ari: Me. WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE MEMORIES? Ari: Traveling to Austin to see one of Bree’s favorite artists. We just got up and left on a random weekend and made the most of our time. Bree: For Ari’s first birthday that we spent together, I threw him a surprise party because he’d never had one. Just seeing how surprised and how genuinely grateful he was dope. We had a lot of fun that night. WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING THINGS YOU’VE LEARNED ABOUT EACH OTHER? Ari: That “Hangry” doesn’t show up until exactly 7 hours and 36 minutes from the last meal. Y’all, make sure she eats during this wedding. Bree: Ari is the most thoughtful, absentminded person I know lol. He’s also the most talkative, quiet one. He has a couple different sides and I love them all. WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU TWO? Ari: I know everyone wants to read the obvious stuff; House, Kids, Retirement…. But I want to take it slow and enjoy the fruits of my patience :). You know what I mean. Other than that, LOTS of traveling. We are both still young, I want to enjoy it. Bree: Enjoying each other, traveling and making memories together, and taking some time to further establish our careers.

A letter from the Bride: Dear Daddy, I wish that you could’ve been here with us in person today. I know you would’ve had a great time, and would have had all of the perfect words of wisdom to give to Ari and me. You would’ve walked me down the aisle cheesing, and probably crying, then I would’ve started crying, then we both would’ve just been a mess walking and crying down the aisle. I want you to know that I am working hard and daily striving to continue to be a strong, smart, woman of God that you are proud of. I also want you to know that Ari has been wonderful, and has been an amazing partner to me. Mama is doing good too. Gabe and I and the rest of the family have rallied around her in a whole new way. And Gabe did great in your stead walking me down the aisle, and has stepped up in your absence as well. Although you aren’t here physically, your legacy goes on stronger than ever. Your presence is never forgotten, and never will be. We will always love you for everything that you taught us, and everything that you did for us. Please continue watching over us, and gently guiding us from heaven. All my love, Bree
